I do find myself aligning more with Conservative ideologies (well, Libertarian) but the whole religion crap annoys the hell out of me. However, liberals, as Baph pointed out, are just as dogmatic with some of their views. It is also interesting that they are all much more sympathetic to Mooslims even though worldwide, Christians are more persecuted. I guess the difference is that this is America and it is ruled by Christians. There's one guy in particular who really drove this home for me. During my 3rd year in college when I was kind of waking up and learning to think, he became a role model and even somewhat a mentor to me. Learning how to read and think critically, identify problems with logic and ask questions, reject assumptions, seek evidence, progress down the path of truth wherever it leads without bias or prejudice, and in short, how to be skeptical and rational about life in general and use your mind to navigate through the jungle of superstition, tradition, and ignorance we live in. But then . . . he's a MASSIVE social justice progressive who just turned his brain off for 8 years during Obama's terms and then put that fucking "I'm With Her" thing as his profile picture for several months last year. I'd ask these questions and push him and then . . . that guy I knew . . . he just wasn't there. This titan of skepticism was just blind, like a teenager in love, like a football fan when their team gets into trouble, this primitive, emotional, tribal thinking that I thought we were against was the driving force in his life for 6 months and frankly, it's still happening. Fucking devastating. I don't mind people being liberal like Sam Harris, but liberal like Ben Afflec . . . dude, you're smarter than that. Religion, politics, and pussy . . . it's the only time I've ever seen good men behave like cretins. IQ reduction by 50 pts, contradictory statements and standards, irrational and emotional responses to any critiques you pose . . . what a goddamned tragedy.

So a couple months ago I mentioned on this thread how my sister in law and her husband (I call him my brother in law) have had a rough couple of years and found God.
Well, my brother in law is pretty much brainwashed and has gone full cuckoo. My sister in law told me he wants to start donating $180 every week to their church. Seriously. And eventually 10% of their earnings so they can become full members. I can't even talk about it without laughing.
Thankfully, my sister in law won't do it and I am hoping that she is starting to come back to the dark side. But man, my brother in law has changed. I was at a birthday party at their place last weekend and some of their church friends were there. Weird.
One dude started crying when he was telling my wife and I a story about helping some needy children. The guy was creepy, and my wife said she wouldn't let kids near the dude.
Less than a year ago, my brother in law and myself got kicked out of two bars within 15 minutes of each other. Now he goes to bible study.

Lmao, my mom and step dad tyth over $500 a month to their church and various church orgs then occasionally bitch about not having money to see their grandkids in Georgia. When they start, I start about the donations just to piss them off.

Ive grown up with religious people, ones who kind of shunned my family because we were the ones who owned the local pub. As if my patents were bad people or something. My dad would laugh at quite a few of these people, lazy fucks who watched the boob tube instead of mowing their grass, keeping up with their homes. My sister and I were treated differently then the other kids because of this. Put a bad taste in my mouth with religion from day 1.
So I am kind of biased against those that are hardcore into religion. I rent to some right now, they live in my front house of where I reside. Nice people and all, but I've always gotten a weird vibe from them. Turns out we have mutual friends, I've talked to these friends and they claim that the dude was a cool guy before his family and him got wrapped up in the church. But I'll give credit where credit is due, he's raised good kids and imo, there is a lot to be said about that. We had them over for dinner, once, back when they first moved in. His wife had to ask if she could have a 2nd drink. It was a hot day and we were making rum with fresh oj. He told her no. From that moment on I can't help but look at dude in a different light. I'd never want my girl to think she has to ask to have a drink...and I'd expect my girl to have one anyways even if I was a dipshit that said no to her.
The church people they bring around and have over...they are the "if you are not part of the church you are an outsider" kind of people. They can all kiss my white ass with that Lil brain way of thinking.
The dude isn't a very hard worker. My girl and I can barely live in the exact same 2 bedroom, as they are rather small. He's got his family of 4 in the same unit. And this is why...when he gets home from work, he sits down, turns on his big ass TV and just...sits there. Never offered once to help water or mow the lawn. Never has offered to help do anything around here. If I didn't keep up my place like I do, he wouldn't even wash the outside of his windows. And when I tell him Im coming around to do just that, he will leave instead of lending a hand. It's very telling why he isn't moving ahead.

I get the feeling that if my bro and sis in law don't start coughing for up more cash to the church, they will begin to be treated differently from their church friends. I also thought it was really weird that he wanted to donate $180 a week. Where did that number come from? Would make more sense to round it up to $200? I'm wondering if that equals 10% of his earnings? I'm more concerned that your tenant wouldn't want his wife having another drink more than her having to ask him. Who doesn't want their wife having a few too many so you can date rape her later?

But they were new and I didn't want to rock the boat.

As for my family, I really don't care what they do but I can't pretend that it's not weird. My brother in law had the looks (unfortunately) and attitude of Chris Farley. A big guy who was larger than life and a blast to hang with. Now he seems to be cucked by Jesus.

Attempted attack in Paris.Thankfully, the only person hurt was the driver of the car. I was worried at first because my best friend just flew to Paris yesterday, but she texted me from Marseille.

If anyone is watching London, Paris, Sweden, Germany, and still thinks it'd be super neat to import hundreds of thousands of degenerate Arabs into their country, there is no other conclusion but that self-loathing, self-destructive zealotry and mental illness is afoot.
Immigrate legally, assimilate, contribute, and literally nobody will care. You'll be welcome.
This other shit, this bitterness and aggression from Mexicans, this subversive ambition by Arabs, and the bewildering open arms by Progressives . . . it's just madness, pure and simple.

Assimilation is actually what the French government has been trying. They aren't allowed to ask any questions about race or religion on any official paperwork because of the mindset that if you're a French citizen, that's all that matters and you're in theory living like any other French citizen. There are many pitfalls to focusing on assimilation to the exclusion of all else. When you go about it with blinders on and ignore actual differences, it will not and cannot work. It has created a culture in which actual discussion of race and religion is almost totally taboo, so the problem will never actually be fixed.

Baph, if you're interested in a fascinating discussion of the subject and how it relates to current French culture, I suggest the last half of the book "The Bonjour Effect" by Jean-Benoît Nadeau and Julie Barlow. The whole book is interesting, but the topic of race, religion, and culture in modern France is approached in depth in the second half.

I have to concur that Muslims have proven that they simply aren't worth the risk that the worst of them pose. And they have no one to really blame but each other, for letting it get this far and letting hate, fear and brainwashed zealotry dominate their culture. Yeah, there are good ones and I think the ones that are already here and don't fuck up should be able to stay and live in peace, but as far as letting more in? It's really looking like you just cant allow it anymore. Otherwise you're inviting a really dangerous element who want to do nothing but kill and wreak havoc and change where they are to their way of life, or else. It's sad what they do to the relatively good ones who just want to live their daily lives with their loved ones, without fucking with anyone else, but again, they're the ones who needed to squash this shit and they've had over a thousand years to do it. Time's up. You're stuck with this mess, the rest of us don't have to willingly share in it

At this point the U.S. is a ticking time bomb. It's not an if in the slightest bit. I fully expect this new form of terrorism to happen today,or any day really.i won't be surprised in the least. I'm all for retaliation, for every attack, we attack. I don't give a damn about innocents, they target the common, non Muslim world, we target the Muslims here on our soil.

Time's up. You're stuck with this mess, the rest of us don't have to willingly share in it I lived with a guy from Egypt for about a year. He's one of the best friends I've ever had. My brother-in-law is (one generation removed) from Iran. He's family, 100%. I have Cubans, Asians, and mixed-race people in my business, including one of my partners. I had multiple Native Americans in my wedding. I don't really give a fuck where you're from other than some surface level curiosities -- I care about culture. What you value, your ethics and morals, your ability to contribute and function in western society, and a base level appreciation of western culture, freedom, and history. There are millions of Asians and Indians over here that nobody ever even notices, discusses, or includes in these conversations because they assimilate, work harder than anyone, thrive in our (shitty?) education system, and get great jobs. Nobody cares. Nobody cares if you're black, Arab, Mexican anymore than we care if you're Japanese or Australian. If you're here to be part of the team that's all that matters. If you're here to be a cunt, then fuck you. Fuck your religion. Fuck your precious homeland (shithole) that you abandoned at the drop of a hat. And fuck the finger-wagging, guilt-peddling, cultural mutiny you're peddling.

I could literally sit here and post news story after news story of how horribly this multicultural mass migration is going...and expose just how gang-rapey these Islamic asylum seekers are...but who cares, it's not happening to anyone YOU know right? Helping randos with my tax money is my civic duty i suppose, so I'll shut up.

Nobody ever accused the French of being logical or practical. I'm also not trying to defend them in any way. I've spent my entire life studying French culture and there are still times when the absurdity of certain things boggles my mind. I've lived there. My Mom was French. It's a complicated, crazy, often disfunctional country.

Baph really needs a bigger platform. I know it's been said before but man, you really need to get some of this poetry out there.

I see the new battle cry for the feminist and SJWs is that Gal Gadot got paid 300 k for Wonder Woman compared to Henry Cavill making 13 million off Superman. Nevermind she is an unknown and this is her first real mega blockbuster. These were the same crybabies that said it wasn't fair that Jennifer Lawrence made less than Bradley Cooper on the Silver Lining Playbook. However, after Jennifer become megastar off The Hunger Games and is worth more than Bradley Cooper, there are crickets. Funny how the free market is only oppressive when it works for your narrative.
Not to mention they are comparing Gadot's first contract to after Henry got bonuses and everything else once Superman was a blockbuster.

Most people are calling the people crying about this out on it. Gal's contract, like pretty much everyone else in the superhero and potential franchise movies was set at escalating pay. She's actually in line for more than Cavil in future movies.

I just read some news article that I found funny. I found it funny because how much California hates Trump (or so it seems), they hate the idea of Trump building a wall to keep Mexicans out. Well ... San Jose Built a taller and stronger fence to keep the homeless out.
