Ain't nothing wrong with Pitch Black or The Chronicles of Riddick, man. Guardians of the Galaxy was good too. Boiler Room. Iron Giant. Saving Private Ryan. Find Me Guilty. Last Witch Hunter could have been amazing, dropped the ball on that.

Yeah, Boiler Room was solid.

The first FATF was alright. Of course I was like 20 or so when it came out, so maybe that's why I think that.
And I agree, Pitch Black was pretty cool too.

Sorry, but I can't give Vin Deisel much credit for Guardians of the Galaxy or Saving Private Ryan. One he's just voice acting the same line over and over and the other he doesn't even last more than a third of the movie and is like the 12th most significant character in it. Hell even The Boiler Room, which I didn't think much of, he was a bit part of little significance
You guys need to get off them diesel dick pills

Maybe I need to re-watch Boiler Room, but I didn't think Vin's part was of little significance.

In a year where we have movies like Star Wars episode 8, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Logan, John Wick 2, Thor: Ragnarock and even within a month (July) that has Spiderman: Homecoming, War for the Planet of the Apes and The Dark Tower.....THIS is the movie event of 2017, for me

No, even this one has Bane and the Scarecrow in it. And some kid from that boy band, One Direction. He has the power to make teenage girls pee their pants, by simply being in their general vicinity

Just running down the list of already announced 2017 releases. It doesn't have a lot of what will be the better non-blockbuster ones that come out next fall and winter, but among what's been announced, my most anticipated would have to be....
1: Dunkirk 2: Blade Runner 2049 3: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 4: War for the Planet of the Apes 5: Star Wars: Episode Eight 6: Kong: Skull Island 7: John Wick 2 8: Logan 9: The Promise 10: Alien Covenant (hey I actually LIKED Prometheus)
Yes, I left off most of the comic book movies. I think I am feeling some burn out with those. I also left out The Dark Tower. Not because I don't believe people who say it's one of Stephen King's best book series. I also like the cast they have for it. It's when I looked at the writer and director my expectations dropped significantly. That writer in particular. Akiva Goldsman. He's like a play doh fun factory of crap scripts.

I ain't heard that name in a long time. . .

^^^ ded.
Interested to see a big budget, star-studded "The Mummy" reboot coming out. Russell Crowe. Tom Cruise. Massive CGI budget. I'm beyond hyped for Ep. 8 and for Alien: Covenant, though it looks like the story is not a direct sequel to Prometheus, which is disappointing.
War for the Planet looks sick. Life looks sick. Having now seen an extended preview of Kong with John C Riley and some Will Ferel-esq slapstick, I'm considerably less interested than I was after that initial trailer.
I'd add Justice League to that list. I know you avoided comic flicks, but this will probably be the do-or-die moment for DC in the DC vs Marvel saga.

YES!!!!! At first I was like, I don't know if they should do a sequel to this so far removed from the original, but once I saw Denis Villenueve is directing it....SOLD

Gosling in the Blade Runner reboot makes me want to jump out of a goddamned window. How do I get away from this guy?
New Predator flick with some serious chops in production. The Predator.
New Pacific Rim flick will probably blow, but I'll watch it four times anyway.
"Meg" looks interesting. Kind of a "Jaws" thing, but Megalodon, and Jason Statham, so I'm game.
Will be keen to see the DC stand alone flicks like Flash, Aqua Man, Wonder Woman, and the build-up to Dark Seide.
On that note, the Avengers should be culminating in the Infinity Gauntlet arc sometime in the next year.
Multiple Star Wars flick including Ep. 8, Han Solo, etc.

Just found a new batch up upcomings . . . .
The Lost City of Z covers early exploration of the Amazon and looks killer.
Bitter Harvest covers the starvation of millions in the Ukraine by Stalin.
They're making a Trainspotting sequel with the original cast.
A Cure for Wellenss looks pretty weird, Gore Verbenski, we'll see what that's about.
Raw looks like some American Psycho stylized thriller type deal with a girl in med school going through some mental breakdown.

Looking forward to The Lost City of Z... The book was very interesting. Yes, I really enjoyed the book. It's been too many years since I read it, so I don't remember some of the details at this point. I hope the movie doesn't take too many liberties and stays true to the source.
