Yes. The race is called King of the River. I won 2 of 3 classes at their last race in September 2017. it looks like jugheads crown from the archie comics you should have had a big fat burger in the other hand. They have Dune fest on the Oregon coast where i grew up and the first ten years or so that shit was like redneck fucking burning man it was insane the town where it happens is like population 3000 but there were like 20k showing up for the fest. they have since gotten alot more strict and made it much more about the racing and toned down on the partying but i haven't been since they tightened up. Yep, I know all about Dunefest. My motor builder is in Sweet Home, OR. They are definitely a lot more strict out there than here. The crown is basically just a trophy piece. If you ever watch Street Outlaws, it’s the same crown. One of the guys that puts on KOTR works for Midwest Street Cars, so that’s where the crown idea came from.

Oh right on i think i know exactly where you are talking if its a shop. I got a buddy that builds sand rails and i went with him to a shop in sweet home (which is just like a half hour from my house) a couple summers ago to pick up some parts for a motor he was building. Probably the same place as sweet Home is pretty small, But i can't remember what the place was called.

It’s right off Santiam HWY before you get into Sweet Home.

Yeah its a pretty typical Oregon small town, shitty little place but there are some beautiful wilderness areas around it, they also have the Oregon Jamboree which like dune fest draws more then 5x the population of the town.

My hobbies include eating, jerking off, and...uhhh, well I guess that’s it You don't do the canoe/Everglades thing anymore? Oh OK I dont really count travel and stuff as a hobby. I see a hobby like a craft. I've sort of given myself over to work the last couple years so I can retire someday, and have not done any survivorman camping recently, opting instead for mountains and glamping with the old lady, blowing all my money and driving long road trips. I have continued to amass gear, however, and am well equipped to make a real go of it in adverse conditions like never before. Like, potentially spend a week in the worst, hottest parts of the year. Also I am very newly, and very happily single again after almost 5 years in the pussy gulag, so stay tuned. The prospect is exciting. I have a small generator and air conditioner, but they both weigh a lot and take up space. I would have to take my john boat across flamingo bay instead of canoeing the mangrove tunnels, which means I could only go if the wind is coming from the south. That means I would have to be at the ready, and then "jump off" when conditions are right. Also it means I would have to be prepared to stay an extra days stranded in the shit (in "emergency" I can always canoe out a different way, then walk 7 miles to my truck) waiting for the winds to be right. If the wind is wrong, the water is too shallow and it is 100% impossible to pass that way. But... if I were to catch the right conditions, it will take me only about an hour to drive the boat to the campsite, and then after a grueling two hours I will be set up in absolute comfort. I'll spend most of the day in my air conditioned tent reading and laying around, deploying my canoe (towed in behind the john boat) for 2-3 photo missions a day, 2-3 hours each. Oh man, I think I'm getting a hard on
