Some of my favorite threads were for TV shows, so we need a new one.
I understand GoT deserves its own thread.
I just watched an INCREDIBLE dramady on Netflix called Last Tango in Halifax. It's a British series, there are 3 six episode seasons and it has some of the best acting I've ever seen. I don't know if it'd be the cup of tea for a lot of the guys here unless you really dig all things British, but it was awesome.
I fell into it because I was watching the British crime drama Happy Valley, and fell in love with its lead actress, Sarah Lancashire, who also plays a lead role in Last Tango in Halifax.
Anyone have any good binge recommendations right now?

Stranger Things if you want a nostalgic 80s kinda show. Farscape if you want the best Sci-Fi show ever done. (though 1st season until the end is... eh) Surface is great, but only goes one season and leaves you screaming for WTF is gonna happen now.

I tried to watch Narcos a few days ago and couldn't get into it at all. I just don't think I was in the mood for it. I had a really difficult day as far as work and nothing was going well. Figured I'd try a show to get my mind clear but I just couldn't follow it. Oberyn was looking cool as hell though.

I watched the 2 part special "The Case Of: Jonbenet Ramsey". The case is dissected by a group of experts (FBI, medical, forensic), and they come to a pretty *insert adjective* (stunning, expected, awkward, depressing, etc) conclusion. It didn't shock me, it was what exactly what I've always said, but it's cool to see the group come to their conclusions and their reasoning.

Queen of the South any good? I don't watch it, but strictly basing it on series previews and commercials I've seen, I REALLY doubt it USA does have one coming soon, called Eyewitness, that I'm interested in. Seems to be one of those one case, continuous storylines, like The Killing

It didn't shock me, it was what exactly what I've always said, but it's cool to see the group come to their conclusions and their reasoning. What was their conclusion? So, spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it: Burke did it. They did a number of debunking tests. Explained the foreign DNA (even tested brand new underwear and found DNA on them that could only have been transferred in manufacturing), debunked the window entrance theory, dismissed the sexual assault theory, showed that the marks on her body were postmortem and NOT from a taser, explained the actual cause of death... Behavioural analysts reviewed the interviews, letter, etc. They even spoke to the original detective who resigned after being politically stalled by the DA. They covered almost every angle of the case. It's super intense. By the end, they put together a very plausible theory of how it happened and the coverup that followed by the parents. Then today I caught the Dr. Phil interviews with Burke, and he's a total creeper. I've always thought it was him, not intentional murder, but that he hit her during an argument. Even ignoring the case investigation, this interview confirmed every belief I have. His affect was utterly disturbing - laughing and smiling while talking about it all. I don't care how socially awkward someone is, by 29 a person should know better than to be laughing when he says he didn't kill his 6 year old sister.

So he would only have been 9 at the time. That makes sense that the parents would cover that up, not wanting one of their remaining children to be punished. I didn't know enough about the family to have an opinion either way but it sounds very plausible. The fact that the parents staged the crime scene though makes me sick. How could someone do that?

I know it's gotta be pretty basic because I find myself understanding a good portion of it.

Thinking of checking out Orphan Black Anyone seen it? Thoughts? The wife and I have watched all 4 seasons so far and really like it. The 5th season, starting next year, will be the last. You can binge watch the first 4 and be ready for the final season. Tatiana Maslany does an incredible job!

Recording the first episode of Falling Water tonight. Something about people invading and taking control of your dreams.
Current crop:
Mr. Robot Ray Donovan Halt and Catch Fire FTWD Ballers & Vice Principals (VP really cracked me up, many times.) Masters Of Sex Power Survivor's Remorse Blacklist The Wednesday Night stuff on ABC (to placate the wife who still hasn't figured out that Grey's Anatomy was deleted from the recording que several years ago.) The Strain You're The Worst
Westworld on HBO looks interesting, but the previews are confusing as hell.
I have not pulled the trigger on setting up Netflix, but Stranger Things might get me to do so. I do have Amazon Prime though, and they have one show that was IMO, absolutely fantastic. Called The Man In The High Castle. Complete mind bender. Basically, it's the story of life in 1960's USA if Germany and Japan won WWII. Except some people are aware that there are alternate timelines of reality, and some of our reality (Where the Allies won) is mysteriously filmed and leaked in their reality. And their reality is pretty fucked up. Country is split in half. Germany controls the eastern states, Japan controls the west, and the midwest is a "neutral zone" where pretty much anything goes and no law rules. Binged it over the course of a few nights. I highly enjoyed it (pun intended) and am looking very forward to the release of season 2.

I'm dying waiting for 3rd season of Bosch. What's the deal with that show? I saw the thumbnail for it, and The Man In Black automatically grabbed my attention. It was a toss between that and Man In The High Castle, and I opted for High Castle. Then the networks stopped being on vacation and I didn't get back into Prime. Worth adding to the Watch List?

It is based off Michael Connelly books about an LAPD detective. Great casting, serialized, just very well done. Even Cup loved it..
