Not talked about enough is Khabib's willingness to stand in front of Conor and exchange. Conor may have been a little gassed, but he was also unsure what Khabib was going to do and had to respect his hands after Khabib nearly dropped him. We saw a LOT out of Khabib and he answered a lot of questions about him being one dimensional. He isn't a great striker, but he is dangerous and skilled enough to make a guy like Conor unsure of what's coming. Khabib will rag doll Ferguson around and walk through Ferguson's power, but Ferguson does have an awesome gas tank and may be able to do something the second half of the fight. That makes it interesting. Khabib vs Woodley would probably be good because we would see what Khabib does if someone can stop his takedowns. I have to favor Woodley given his speed and unwillingness to grapple when he doesn't want to. But great fight. Khabib vs GSP would be another very interesting fight (not that anyone wants to see it but I would). I am going to give GSP the slight nod due to his jab, speed and grappling ability (he can defend Khabib's shot). Or, let them do a superfight with no belt on the line at 162 or something. If GSP and Khabib walk into the cage at close to the same weight, I'd say this is a coin flip. If they fight at 170 I would have to lean toward GSP. The layoff concerns me about GSP, but his wrestling is so good, and his standup is more varied and better than Khabib's. GSP has a six inch reach advantage over Khabib and he knows how to use his jab. Tough fight for Khabib. Stahp. You're encouraging Nate. Would be an awesome division though.

Some new info with video. Khabib's corner had multiple guys taking shots at Dilon Danis and Conor almost dropped that weakling muslim pussy with a left. All in all, I give the McGregor crew the nod in both shots landed, not being pussies and being willing to fight. The muslims are gang fighters terrified of any one on ones.

Didn't realize Conor deserved to get punched in the back of the head. He threw the first punch in Khabib's corner. Doesn't change that Khabib acted like a fag but Conor did throw the first punch in the cage.
I would like to see a Khabib vs GSP match. Of course I have GSP. I think he will be too big and strong for Khabib. It would be the first time Khabib faced a guy that won't be shaken by the threat of the TD. Let's be honest, that is why Conor was getting tagged. He was in constant fear of the TD and that opened him up. GSP has an infinite amount of confidence in his TD defense so he won't be afraid to throw.
I don't think GSP has ever faced a wrestler like Khabib though. Like Tyron said post fight, it isn't the first TD That gets you, it is his follow-up and chained attacks that will put you on your back. He also said Conor didn't make him pay for the TDs when he did stop them, GSP will. Khabib has never faced an opponent that is as skilled as GSP is on the feet, wrestling, grappling, strength, speed, and cardio that GSP brings to the table. It's one thing 5o beat up a loudmouth Irishman, it's another to take on the GOAT.

Khabib vs Tony would be a great fight. Toss up for me, but leaning more towards Tony. The cardio maybe to much for Khabib.
Khabib vs Tyron. Got to go with Tyron. Too much speed, power and wrestling.
Khabib vs GSP. Stop it, GSP easy
Conor loses to all above. Conor needs to keep fighting guys like Nate, Nick, Paul Daly, Justin something. Guys that will just stand there and kickbox him. But I would like him to fight Aldo again. Oh, A Pettis vs Conor would be very fun.

Sucks that the best left in the biz had failed 2x against 2 muslims in one event. Alhamdulillah!

Even in that melee, Conor had pinpoint accuracy in his striking. I seriously have never seen anything like it in mma. Yeah, he's a loudmouth dickhead, but jesus that guy has talent. And huge, huge props to him for fighting khabib. Big money but easier fight - Nate. HUGE money and no shame in losing to the 170lb GOAT - GSP. But instead he challenged himself against a guy who is all but tailor made to beat him. And he won a round. Impressive. Count me in for buying the rematch when it happens. [But I'm betting khabib again when it happens]

Kavanaugh's strategy is theoretically solid and Conor was able to execute a lot of it, but even in a perfect world where Conor is able to use minimal energy being taken down and put against the fence, the theory they can give away the first two rounds and HOPE Khabib gets tired and then Conor can come back with striking in the 3rd - 5th? Seems like an admission they don't have a great chance. I respect Conor for taking a fight that even under a perfect game plan, he has a good chance to lose. Many guys in MMA duck this very situation and choose to avoid the suffocating blanket, but Conor didn't. Wanting a rematch is odd unless Conor really feels he can do it again, NOT get caught by the overhand right, and somehow find an opening and land big shots? It's not like being an athlete means he can learn defensive wrestling many lifetime wrestlers have. Seems strange he could come out of that fight with any confidence but maybe Conor really is about "testing" himself against difficult opponents.

Outside the left straight/lunging uppercut blitz, Kavanaugh had to think of a realistic scenario for winning. Too little, too late for Conor to match wrestling so play a defensive game early on with Khabib yet you would see others trash Kavanaugh for this strategy. Dumbasses. The flaw in this strategy though is that Conor has subpar cardio.

And that level of boxing is way ahead in mma terms.

I agree Conor takes the toughest fights but he really had no choice, he was going to fight whoever had the title. No one turns down a title fight. You'll say Lewis but there's talk of him and DC fighting at 230. Horrible main event ad well.
It'll be interesting to see who Conor fights next. I'm my opinion, the winner of Nate/Dustin... Or he can defend that 145 belt he carries around lol

Imagine if Aldo winns, Conor would have another red panty night match-up aside from another Nate fight.

It sounds like Conor is dead set on Khabib, according to his coach. He basically said Conor isn’t even remotely interested in anything else.
I’d watch Conor against Tony, Dustin, Pettis, Diaz, Aldo or Khabib. I really have no interest in seeing him against Khabib again. Aldo, Tony, Pettis or Dustin make the most sense to me, with Tony or Aldo being my top picks. I actually think Dustin would win a rematch against Conor too.

Aldo? LOL. Guy has been KOd multiple times and is nowhere near a fight with Conor. Are you kidding?? Max humiliated him twice after Conor broke him like a little bitch. What in the world would the UFC do to promote that: Hey everyone, remember that scar face brazilian that doesn't speak english? You may have seen him get the shit beat out of him by Max Holloway after Conor knocked him out cold with one punch.
Be an easy win for Conor but never going to happen.

But Conor is 2-2 in his last two fights being submitted twice(you could also say he tapped like a little bitch but I won't, I'll Bobo say that) After Aldo's dominant run before Conor, why shouldn't he get a rematch? Cause he can't speak English? I know you don't like him but this is a global sport now. while I would rather see Conor fight with the winner of Nate/Dustin or Tony, a rematch with Aldo is not far fetched... Why is only Conor allowed to ask for the rematches in which he was stopped, Diaz 1 and Khabib?

Aldo does zero to promote a fight and doesn't have any credible reason to fight Conor, so of course it's not on the radar. And "why" is Conor allowed to do anything? Because he is a bigger deal to the UFC than every other fighter we are discussing put together X 10. That's the reality of this global sport and he is a far, far, far bigger star in every way. Aldo is the ideal match-up for Conor because it would be such an easy win: limited power, limited grappler, great striker that can't put Conor on his back. His chin is cracked and it's going to be another highlight reel KO. But, he doesn't have a belt nor any reason to ask for a rematch today. He would be a HUGE underdog with no story line other than for the 1% like you or Bobo holding out hope he can regain what he had many, many years ago. He's pretty much a zero and on par with a former champ like Barao in terms of 95% of viewers not caring about him, or a story about a return to greatness. IF (no chance) he moves up to 155 and wins the belt? Yeah, rematch for sure. Coming off 1 win against a journeyman after being totally outclassed twice by Max and humiliated by Conor? Do I really need to explain to you how far fetched it is to even consider? Trust me, I can't think of an easier fight for Conor and doubt you can either. WTF is Aldo going to do to Conor?? Hope he can land leg kicks and not get hit?? LOL.

Conor just wants to challenge for the belts but doesn't have the balls of defending them. It's like gambling without losing anything.

He DID offer him a rematch and Aldo declined AFTER he claimed "anywhere, anytime". We have talked about this before. Aldo had a chance to avenge his loss but declined when he was in no position to demand anything. Unfortunately, Aldo's strategy backfired after Max smoked him and his shot at another Conor payday is gone. If he really wanted to rematch Conor, he would have jumped at the chance instead of hiding behind a need to train. Man up or shuddup and Aldo chose to run his mouth AND dick tuck at the same time. Which is why I have zero respect for that whiny little cry-baby.

And I don't think you're going to need to much promotion for Conor fights. He didn't promote this one and Dana is saying two million. I think any fight from now on will hit that mark. Dana is going to want to of course promote more heavily next time... But that would only get more IMO.
Oh, Max vs Conor at LW would be a good rematch as well.
So I'd give Max the nod over Aldo too.

I don't think Aldo has much for Conor. I like Aldo, but he hasn't looked good since losing to Conor. I was happy he beat Stephens, but I really don't think he looked great and could have just as easily have been knocked out.
I'm not interested in the Diaz trilogy. At least not yet. That being said, I have that fight at evens. If it's a five rounder at 170, I would bet on Diaz if he was a decent underdog. Cardio is Conor's Achilles heel, and Diaz trumps him there. I had Conor winning the second fight, but it was close.
I hope Tony gets the next crack at Khabib. Not sure where that leaves Conor.

Also the LA Times is saying ten day suspension for both Conor and Khabib.

Hope he can land leg kicks and not get hit?? LOL. LOL it sounds like you are trying to sell the fight. Conor needs a win, and a win over a name. Most of the names being thrown out all have chances at beating Conor. It doesn't matter who fights Conor, the event will sell (Look at the Nate numbers and he's NO draw ). Who would you pick to fight Conor where Conor has a very good chance at winning? A Pettis, he's coming off a loss in a very exciting fight. He will stand and trade with him. Justin G, Justin always has fun exciting fights. BUT, he could land on Conor. I just think Conor really needs a win. If he loses the next fight, that will be 0 wins in 3 or maybe 4 years. People may lose interest.

Dana said over two million but we'll wait for another source... Also the LA Times is saying ten day suspension for both Conor and Khabib. Cool.
