If someone had a gun to my head and said bet or i'll shoot i'd go with Kahib but i do expect every possibility of the upset and Connor knocking him out on the way in, watching Connor land like he did on Alvarez, Dustin, Aldo, Brimage (he lands 3 shots while he's on the way down) and how he ground it out against Mendes makes me believe he's all wrong for Kahib, Connor has a TDD of something like 70% so Kahib will work for those TD's and thats where I feel Connor comes live...
But the ring rust and inactivity and question marks over hunger, living the lifestyle he did after the Mayweather fight and the stunts he's pulled coupled with Karma and just cashing in before he retires swings it for me to bet on kahib!
Pumped for it either way!

I'm going with Khabib.

Prior to 10/2/18, I would have been 95% Khabib. Yesterday I watched Dan Hardy breaking down McNugget's stand up and strategy. So recency bias has me thinking he has a real chance or even should be favored. I have to think about it a little more. Eddie Alvarez is fun, but he's brawler-fun. I think Khabib is disciplined fun, I don't think he'll rush in, nor do I think he'll just stand around and let McNugget measure the range for 3 minutes and then start drilling him. If I watch the two Diaz fights I'll probably be back to thinking Khabib drills him. I don't usually care what they look like but I do want to see them standing around each other. McNuggs looked huge vs Eddie Alvarez, did not look huge vs Diaz. I don't think Khabib will be a much smaller man, but lets see them naked, I mean in fight gear. If McNugget appears much larger, I will tick his chances up a bit.
Regardless of what happens, I hope we get some combinations of these two with Diaz, GSP, Pourier and Ferguson over the next 18 months. 18-24 months of negotiating and fighters feuding with UFC and waiting would suck.. again.

OK, OK, Pettis too if he looks good in a victory (or even defeat) over Ferguson and stays healthy.

Oh I think Conor has a real chance. Khabib just has more ways to win ( I think ). Conor has the power to KO Khabib but can he land it before Khabib can wrap him up? Can Khabib make it to the 2nd round. Which is better, Khabib's chin or Conor's TTD ?
Ground game = Khabib Stand up = Conor Cardio = Khabib Game plan = Khabib (I don't think Conor ever has a backup plan)
I really do like Conor as a fighter, Hell I'm even going to pay for this card. I just don't think Conor has the hunger anymore. He knows he can lose and people will still buy his cards. I also find Khabib boring.

I'm rooting for a Khabib domination... Were he's talking to Conor while he's ground and pounding him. THAT would be hilarious.
Would not be surprised if Conor can clip him... His accuracy is impressive. He made Eddie look like a chump! I just can't stand his act.
I also expect Pettis to be victorious... Pretty good dog. Tony is coming off an injury and I think Pettis has momentum and his mojo back.
Turned out to be a good card hope no fight gets pulled.

I got a gut feeling that Conor KO's him in the first or second.

If we get Khabib on top, slapping and talking to him, can we also have him drag McG over to his whiskey logo and mash his face into it for a bit? If Khabib can take McG’s power like Diaz, even get knocked down and around but stay coherent, that will be a problem for McG.

Nate is the only person who gave Conor trouble on the ground and that's because Nate was 40lbs heavier. You Khabob believers are the same ones who thought Darren Till would beat Woodley. STOP DRINKING THE KOOL-AID!

Nah - Khabob's best shot is to miss weight so he doesnt have to fight at all. Only way he can save his record from a loss.

I am not counting Mcgregor out, but I'd bet on most of the fight looking like the first round of the Mendes fight.

Oh and we are still good on our bet, right? see my sig. You have Conor and I have khabib. For $50. We spoke about it awhile ago, I put it in my sig so I wouldn't forget.

Agreed. Once people reach the level of success that Conor is at, they lose the hunger that got them there.

I've got Khabib. The Iaquinta fight has me hesitant, as Khabib didn't look at all dominant in that fight, but otherwise Khabib has been ragdolling guys.
Against his prior three opponents (all studs), Dos Anjos, Michael Johnson, and Edson Barboza, Khabib has won all nine rounds with almost half of those being 10-8 rounds. So, while he looked mortal against Iaquinta, I'm not going to let that stop me from picking Khabib.
I like Conor. I like Khabib. But I'm going with Khabib.
