If all they cared about was business logic, they would have never watched it from the get go... How many years were they in the red? The UFC is not going to go out of business if Conor doesn't get his immediate rematch... His next fight will still do big numbers. Khabib is the the champ, the king, undisputed, undefeated Muslim scum! That's what bothers them! From a business perspective, you have to let this shit cool off before you start promoting the drama you just looked down upon. And still!!!! BULLSHIT! You really think they make a buisness decision by saying "well we wont go out of business if we dont do it..." This new UFC business model makes decisions based on "How can we make the most amount of money?" Most amount of money = Conor vs Khabib, then Conor vs anyone. That business model doesnt work if it's Khabib vs anyone but Conor. but there are 12 PPV a year and Conor can't fight on all of them

Again I need to provide a history lessen to bobo the hater. Eddie Alvarez humiliated RDA by 1st round KO - smashed the the juicing brazilian. The same RDA that pulled out of his change to fight Conor. After RDA tucked tail and got destroyed by Eddie, EDDIE became the champ. Eddie the Champ called out Conor and got his wish, and got destroyed. WTF was unwarranted?
The earning discussion IS important for very basic conversations about MMA. Mighty Mouse was arguably the greatest champion in UFC history but that doesn't mean he is the most deserving or most important fighter on the roster. Conor going to fight a boxing match against the greatest boxer of the last few decades helped EVERY fighter on the UFC roster - even the juicing, fight avoiding, brazilians. It HELPED Khabib.
Conor fighting Mayweather in boxing wasn't a "challenge"? LOL. Haters gonna hate. Brazilians gonna cheat.

They are looking for flash in the pans/WWE storylines. They're not cultivating the rosters and instead obsessed with multi-belt champs who never deserved their title shots in the 1st place. This is bad for the sport in the long run.

Khabib doesn't have to fight Conor and the UFC is obligated or offer Khabib and every other fighter fights.
We should make a wager on whether Conor's next fight is against Khabib! I bet it's not!

I'm so glad people grasping at earnings as an argument are getting some percentage from it..? If all they cared about was business logic, they would have never watched it from the get go... I BET on Khabib to beat Conor and I want to see Khabib vs Tony. I like Khabib and always have - he wore that Sambo shirt into Brazil that said "my daughter does bjj". Fantastic and anyone mocking the whining brazilians is someone I like. I don't like cheaters, guys that pull out of fights, guys that duck fights and guys that make excuses after the lose (every brazilian). Khabib's linked to some serious muslim scum though. Read about it. I don't care about him being a rug kneeling religious fanatic at all, dude can fight. His manager and associates? Serious scum.

I don't disagree with you about the shady people surrounding Khabib, Conor also has some shady connections. I don't care for shit like that. What I do not care for is immediate rematches. There is a business model saying as well, let it marinate. The rematch won't sell any less if it's a fight or two removed, as you'll see with the Diaz trilogy. As a fan of the sport how could you not want to see Tony Khabib. Tony is on a very very impressive run.

Khabib will never be on a 3 fight losing streak. He won't be cut and the only way he exits the UFC is by his own decision.

It's prize fighting. Like every sport, fighters/athletes have to make as much money as they can while they can. The UFC/any sports league milks them as long as they can and then tosses them aside.
Just ask Tito and Chuck.
I don't blame Khabib for wanting more money to fight Conor, because he is now in the most powerful position he will ever be in (just like Nate was). I do think Khabib wants the money fight with Conor, regardless of what he or his manager is saying. It's just leverage.
I hope Khabib fights Tony first. The UFC can make a huge money fight with whoever wins between Tony and Khabib with Conor, so hopefully Khabib/Tony happens.
I'm just not sure if Conor takes a tune up fight or waits for the winner.

Nate was suppose to be the easy fight. But you are right, it doesn't matter how good someone is. If they don't sell they aren't relevant in the UFCE ( E is for entertainment LOL) So you agree its a bitch move to call someone out, say you will fight them anywhere anytime even in the parking lot for free? You know where I'm going with this, right? haha Cyborg would have whooped her! You were always right about that. Thats all I needed to hear. Thank you Sir lol

I don't think Conor has to have a tune up fight in order to get the To u/Khabib winner. If he waits, he still gets it I think. I agree that it is in his best interest to take a fight and get the rust off and build his confidence. I also agree that there are no guarantees he beats either Nate or Dustin (most sensible fights). The easiest fight for Conor, and I know you won't like this, is probably Aldo at 155.

I found this thread about "financial fans" on sherdog, and this is hilarious. And probably true. When a PPV event starts, all they can think of is how many PPV it will sell and how much money Dana will make! They even stopped watching Fight Nights! Well they DVR the event but only watch the commercials... and proud owners of a Tyson Griffin's badonkadonk Fathead on their wall. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
