Holly shit what a fatty! He is by far the fattest he's ever been. Chael said today that Mir is easily about 280lbs right now. Oink-Oink!

Bellator, where old legends go when they don’t want to take their careers seriously anymore but still want the paycheck.

The way that Mir has looked in his last 5 or 6 fights, I don't see why Fedor can't win this. Ever since the near death experience with Carwin, coupled with USADA and age, Mir is a not the fighter that he had finally matured into any longer.

Do you think Lesnar broke Mir in some ways? I feel like he was never the same after their 2nd fight.

Mir crushes Fedor.

Mir doesn't use his wrestling well even though he is bigger and stronger than Fedor. And Mir takes a LOT of punishment in his guard. I think Fedor can win scrambles on the ground with Mir and has the better one punch finishing power. We will see but I can't see Fat Frank coming into this in great shape and can't see him hoping he wins a chin check contest with Fedor.

That’d be hilarious if obese Mir won the whole thing. He was 2-6 in his last 8 UFC fights while getting KO’d 3 times. Bum fights revisited.
Legitimately talented young heavyweights are scarce to begin with anymore and they damn sure don’t want to spend their careers crushing cans on an Indian reservation in the minors. That leaves Coker begging for scraps for his HW class, hoping Dana cuts another used up HW with a respected name.

I don't know if Mir will even make weight. That will be a bigger battle than facing Fay-Fay (copyright Garth).

Why is this fight not until the freaking end of April? Will Trump still be president when this stupid tournament ends? Will anyone advance a round due to their opponent's retirement / heart attack / diabeetus?

Will anyone advance a round due to their opponent's retirement / heart attack / diabeetus? You think that's bad? Chael fights the winner of Fedor/Mir... on Monday he said that fight wont happen until late fall 2018. So yeah... this HW Grand Prix will probably end sometime in 2022.

Maybe Loco can enlighten us with this 5 Year Bellator HW Tournament Master plan.....?
The first brilliant thing they did was add LHWs and MWs to the to tournament!

I know you’re not going to come at me with an argument that weight class jumping is wrong.
Cuz UFC....

I know you’re not going to come at me with an argument that weight class jumping is wrong. Cuz UFC.... Nothing wrong with weight class jumping, unless your hero organization is still protecting its “stars” CupCheik and Lashley, and having Middleweights fight in a HW tourney. I would have rather seen the Big Pigmy in the tourney, but Chael it is...

Seriously - Why isnt Bobby Lashley in this tournament? He's on an 8 fight winning streak! Hasnt lost a fight in 6 years!

Fedor KO round 2. Then Fedor will KO Chael and get to the finals. He’ll sub Chael, not KO. Sadly, I think Mir is washed up enough that Fedor will KO him, although there really should be no way Fedor beats him. If it goes to the ground, Mir submits Fedor, probably after battering him badly. But my feeling is that Mir is washed up AND (quite understandably) taking Fedor lightly, and Fedor (assuming he doesn’t mysteriously get “injured”) is certainly preparing like an underdog. Mir will be plodding and slow, like Brett whatsisname, and his fatness might indicate that he’s not preparing whatever because he has already agreed to lose Mir has 4x the experience as Fedor does in both fighting in a cage and in facing fighters with more than 5 fights experience. Mir has 4 times the number of impressive wins as Fedor, and unlike Fedor, Mir has subbed actual modern MMA fighters, whereas Fedor’s only submission wins are against Hammer house fighters and cooks fighting on their night off, literally for rent money. Prediction; Fedor by flash KO, round one. If he subs Mir you can bet your house, car, and kids that it was a fucking work. Fedor sucks at submissions compared to Mir

Mir takes a ton of damage off his back but I agree Fedor won't sub him unless it's a rear naked choke from Mir turteling. A KO is far more likely.
You're probably right about subbing Chael rather than KO and he could sub Chael pretty easily with a choke or any kind of arm lock.

You're probably right about subbing Chael rather than KO and he could sub Chael pretty easily with a choke or any kind of arm lock. I would be absolutely in shock if Fedor gets in any top position on the ground to do any damage whatever, unless he puts Mir on Queer Street via strikes first, or Mir is seeing stars already from exhaustion. IMO if Fedor rocks Mir and then tries to finish via sub, he gets quickly reversed and subbed himself, or pounded out. Fay had absolutely nothing for Mir grappling. Too much power. Fedor needs to dance, stick, move, and either land the haymaker or wait for Mir to collapse from exhaustion

I think you underestimate his grappling but we probably won't see it against Mir. Chael easily held Rampage down whenever he wanted but wait and see how that works against Fedor - he will reverse position on Chael easily.

Saw an interview with him today on YouTube. He couldn't quit sweating, yet he wasn't doing anything but talking. It wasn't from the camera lights either.
