I think you underestimate his grappling but we probably won't see it against Mir. Chael easily held Rampage down whenever he wanted but wait and see how that works against Fedor - he will reverse position on Chael easily. Sounds like you understand perfectly that Fay has nothing for Mir in the grappling department except 3 taps, and that Fay knows it. If Mir is in anywhere near the shape he was when he got pounded out by Brock (big if), Fay won’t be able to tap fast enough to avoid injury. Still my gut says that Mir has basically agreed to not train and put Fay over. Like there’s some deal wherein if he gets bounced from the tourney, he’ll be “freed up” for broadcasting duties which happen to pay near as much as he would have made to win the whole thing

Seriously - Why isnt Bobby Lashley in this tournament? He's on an 8 fight winning streak! Hasnt lost a fight in 6 years! I believe that I read he had scheduling issues due to wrasslin but that he was likely to be tapped if a replacement was needed.

Saw an interview with him today on YouTube. He couldn't quit sweating, yet he wasn't doing anything but talking. It wasn't from the camera lights either. Look at his shirt in the pic I posted. Sweaty...

Holly shit what a fatty! He is by far the fattest he's ever been. Chael said today that Mir is easily about 280lbs right now. Oink-Oink! The mighty sure have fallen. Two of the best heavyweights ever looking old, slow and more out of shape than they previously were. No way this goes past the first round, mir would do his best dada 5000 cosplay and end up at the hospital.

Do you think Lesnar broke Mir in some ways? I feel like he was never the same after their 2nd fight. Mir was never the same after the accident.

Do you think Lesnar broke Mir in some ways? I feel like he was never the same after their 2nd fight. Mir was never the same after the accident. That's stupid. Virtually all of Mir's good wins came after the accident. Pre accident Mir was fighting Wes freaking Sims (and getting his face stomped in) to earn his shot at the belt. He definitely took some time to recover and looked crappy in his first few fights back after the accident, but the wins against Lesnar, and Big Nog (x2), CroCop, Roy Nelson, and Bigfoot all came post-accident. As to the original question, no I don't think Lesnar broke Mir. Mir went 4-1 over his next five fights after the Lesnar loss, all against big names, losing only to Carwin.

What about Heath Herring - did Lesanr break him?

Look at his shirt in the pic I posted. Sweaty... High Metabolism I think you mean "slow metabolism". A high metabolism would probably be a fast one which is a good thing for losing weight.

Mir certainly looked incredible. I was impressed with the shape he was able to get in.
