I guess you can call me a Trump supporter. I wanted him to win over Hilary but I didn't vote. But I would've treated that woman you were teaching with respect. I treat everyone with respect until they prove they don't deserve respect. But that's just me trying to be a decent person. Yeah, well I have lots of friends who are Trump supporters and repubs. Most of the people I do BJJ with are Trump supporters and we get along great because we just don't talk about politics, but I think most would have treated her with respect also. I hope that is how most Trump supporters are.

Francis admits he comes from a shithole. Doesn't want to leave but has to for opportunity. If it wasn't a shithole why would he need to leave? He wouldn't. He basically admits it without even knowing it. Lets get past the whether or not it's a shithole part. Everyone is focusing on that part and I don't get it cause that's not why people like this are offended. They are offended because the suggestion is that they are less wanted here than people from countries like Norway (IF in fact Trump DID say what many say he did...and I think he did...he compared them) because the country is shitty. Even if we agree that it is shitty...and Ngannou does in fact seem to be agreeing he came from a rough place...why is it NOT offensive to say he and others from those countries should be less welcome here because of it??? Come on dude, you are intelligent and you seem to care about people people being in the medical profession right? So if you are from one of those countries, and you come here to escape hardship, wouldn't you find it offensive that the president said "hey, we don't want you here because you came from a bad place, we only want people from good places like Norway"?? How would you NOT find it offensive?? The implication, very clearly, is that being from a shitty place makes YOU a shitty person who we should not welcome here. What happened to "give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses" ? America has generally been thought of as the land of opportunity that welcomes people who have come from hard ship and impoverished countries. Wouldn't it very much seem that Trump does NOT stand by that statement? Don't his comments make it sound like he's NOT interested in supporting the idea that America can be a safe haven for people coming from "shitholes", that he doesn't want them to come here, and that he probably also wants them to go home? Well, considering nearly every foreigner says Americans are shithead and assholes... I truly don't give two shits.

I mean it goes two ways, if we treat them shitty they feel shitty and treat us shitty. Since I work with foreigners and help teach them English I know for sure they don't feel that I personally and those who teach them are assholes, and I'd prefer to keep it that way, with us doing and saying things that don't make them feel hated.

I already said we don't "owe" anyone shit, but I think we have a responsibility to present ourselves as a country that is the "beacon of hope"people often say it is, and if everyone thought the way you do then people like the Hatian women I taught the other day would feel disrespected and unwanted in our country and that's fucked up. I think we should represent this which is written on the statue of liberty: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door." Trump didn't represent that with his comments, and I don't think it's right to make people like Ngannou feel unwanted. Also, Ngannou is about the farthest thing from a "sissy boy" I could possibly imagine haha. Not sure what else you meant by that last part, but obviously there's some badasses who feel this way too. Now I don't think there's much more to say about this.

So then you must think that Ngannou's politics are fucked too obviously right because that is who we are talking about?? I know we won't agree, but I can't possibly imagine what you think is "fucked" about generally trying to judge people based individually on their merits as human beings and not the countries which they come from and giving people a chance to immigrate here regardless of whether or not they come from "shitholes" if they are not shitty people. It's basically just common decency extended to immigrants and it almost seems like a given to me that it certainly wasn't Trump's finest moment or representative of what America is supposed to be about at its best. Otherwise I guess we should scratch out what is written on the statue of liberty. Whatever.

The entire first post is bullshit. Both the interveiw and the part about toehold saying he, the most easily trolled man on the internet, was not going to be trolled into debating.

Trump never admitted he said it - we have all talked about it like it's a given he DID. So a) we don't know if he said it and he claims he did NOT; b) even if it was said many agree it's true and being overblown. The guy HAS admitted he said grab them by the pussy and is probably the most transparent politician we have ever seen. We do know he is often misquoted and the media has made shit up about him so I think that's important, Toehold.
I hope Stipe smokes him because I like Stipe. And like Vale mentioned earlier - just stfu and fight. I don't care about fighters opinions on politics and also thought Volkmann looked like a tool talking about Obama. It's out of place.

And yeah, I can understand not wanting to hear fighters talk about politics and Ariel was obviously trying to get attention for himself by asking it which kind of WAS bullshit cause why ask a fighter about politics? But given that he did ask him his opinion, I think it makes sense that Ngannou was honest about what he thought. Whatever, I was just showing that if it actually is true what he said, that that's how a fighter who is from one of those countries feels about it. It is what it is.

There was someone in the meeting who under oath denied that Trump said it. So you have Trump and another politician who swears under oath that is wasn't said. I agree if Trump said it, he shouldn't have. If anything he knows that he is constantly under the microscope so he should be more careful with his words. I just have grown tired of every news headline covering something Trump may or may not have said or how he was incorrect when he stated X which is inconsequential but the media acts like he is an idiot for it. It is tiresome and I am about sick of the stupid shit. Dude has pretty much squashed ISIS, illegal Immigration is down like 40+%, consumer confidence is high, and his tax cuts have brought more jobs and raises but despite all this, Trump may have said something mean about 3rd work countries... I just want objective reporting without the constant smear jobs.

I would ask you to examine your selective outrage at Trump's unproven comment with the reality of what our immigration system allows today, yesterday and tomorrow. No matter what laws are passed, we will remain THE sought out country immigrants desire to come to live and visit, and will ALWAYS lead the world in both yearly immigration and yearly visitors. We are definitely going to see some political measures occur to address the elephant in the room - million of ILLEGAL immigrants that factually broke laws to come here. Even if we did somehow deport all 25 million of them, we would STILL have more legal immigration than everyone else. We will not, but it needs to be pointed out so you can examine reality. We remain the most generous and welcoming country in the world to immigrants with or without a "wall" and no matter what the outcome of the dreamers.

Why anyone would give a fuck about what the president says about countries whose people come here for a better life is beyond me.
Those people are leaving because their countries are shit holes.
Why on earth does that offend people? It honestly amazes me.

Canada wouldn't take you if you weren't educated and had a skill. They take less people then we do, But we are the racists LOL It is amazing the amount of people that don't realize that the US is actually the easiest to immigrate to, with some of, if not the most lax requirements. Canada is very hard to immigrate to, Australia is a nightmare (and if you are illegal your family gets fucked over instead of just you), etc...

Exactly. So what is everyone fucking crying about? We’re actually nicer than those other countries. I think in most cases we are. Sweden seems to be giving alot to the immigrants. Sweden (and most of those Scandinavian countries) while they are on the easier side to immigrate to in regards to starting the process, their requirements to make it thru the process are extremely stringent. I think they have wealth limits for a period of time, language/history learning requirements, extra taxes, you are prevented from having certain type of business licenses, etc... Sweden's issue is basically gang related. IMO it isn't so much an immigrant issue that aren't assimilating as it is the country has been getting more restrictive and sticking their nose into people's personal activities to the point they start lashing out. Just look at the Raggare there, and the government taking away their vehicles now. They are getting fed up with not being able to do what they want when it doesn't hurt anyone else. You see the same thing with drugs here.

This is a waste of time.
No matter how many times we go in circles I'll disagree with you guys (and I've shown I have very good reasons to disagree as well as do people like Ngannou) and you'll disagree with me.
To my mind, if people like Ngannou feel this way, and many others do, it's enough reason Trump shouldn't have said it, and I do believe he said it and that people are willing to lie underoath for him as more people have already said that he did say it I believe than those who denied it.
I could continue to debate for pages more why I feel he should not have said this and come up with what I believe are intelligent responses, but it wouldn't matter.
At least you all know that people like Ngannou feel this way and not just me.
Lets all stop now.

Trump can say whatever the fuck he wants, that is what is great about America, we can say what the fuck we want. It is also why Ngannou can say what he wants, and why everyone here can be exposed to both of them and make up their own mind on the comments. Both Trump and Ngannou saying what they did are perfect examples of why the Conservative approach to a country works and is good.
