I am NOT trying to get into a discussion about this again and I'm NOT going to get into an argument. I'm just going to post this video and comments about what Ngannou said about Trump's statements cause it caught my attention, and then I'll see what you guys think about it. I personally like Ngannou as I think he'll pump some much needed life into the UFC HW division, and I hope he beats Stipe tomorrow. Again, I am NOT going to get in a debate, I'm just dropping this off cause it interested me since Ngannou is from an African country: www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/francis-ngannou/video-francis-ngannou-calls-donald-trump-shame-america-passionate-speech/

I’m offended that his bitch ass would even comment on Trump. After all, that motherfucker is living and training in the US.
I hope Stipe sleeps his bitch ass.

But I'm just wondering, did you take the time to watch the video and read his comments? I think you should. At least if you know what he said and why he said it you can have a more informed opinion, even though I do understand why you feel how you feel.

" I’m an immigrant. I was, I am, and I will be an immigrant. This year, next year, 10 years after, I will still be an immigrant. So, I know that particular situation. I know how difficult it is. I know why those people leave their country. They don’t leave their country because they want to leave their country. They don’t leave their country because they love another country better than their country. They leave their country because they don’t have a choice. Because they are looking to opportunity, looking for change."
“All those people that [Donald Trump] was talking about is people like us. It’s kind of difficult to accept a thing like that. To hear a thing like that. For myself, the goal for me was to lift [up] my country and see someone who just wants to break that dream, that hope that people are following.:"

The OH10 native with a deportation over hand right! What does OH10 stand for? I forgot that Stipe is also an immigrant as he's Croatian but he has no accent so I don't know if he was born here or not. I remember when he first came to the UFC we were wondering if he'd be the next Crocop, but I'd say he's better than Crocop ever was. That would probably have been good though: prime Crocop vs Prime Stipe in the Pride ring.

I honestly hope Stipe puts his dick in the dirt, because I don't like politics mixed with my mma. This is my escape from everything and if you mix politics into it I may just walk away from watching it.
The guy left his country because it sucked. I don't blame him or find fault in anyone trying to get out and into a better life. But let's call a spade a spade. I've been to Africa...most of it...is indeed a shithole. There is insane beauty there, best fishing I've ever seen and some seriously underrated cuisine. But...where there is people, a good portion of its a shithole. That's why people don't stay there and try to leave.
And fuck you Jamie, for mixing your little brain politics in our mma thread. Suck a dick.

I wouldn't want to be on Ngannou's shit list...lets lock him and Trump in the cage together LOL.
But he actually seems like a fairly nice dude.
Came from a super humble uprbringing and yet he's a straight killer.

He kept those comments at the top of his page to keep the shit stirred. Imo, just keep politics out of mma. We didn't make threads about Volkmann wanting to fight Obama iirc. But because little brains like to equate "Trump=Bad", we get this kind of garbage.

They probably were mostly about Ariel so he had to pull then down. I've noticed Ariel likes to stir the shit but play the victim role when he gets called out on it.
I quit watching his show awhile back because of just this. If you are gonna stir the pot, own up to it.

You are being a real asshole now, but I don't care because you don't have any idea what you are talking about. You have no clue where I live and no clue about my life and yes, I afford where I live. You know about 0.1% of what my life is about. And I'm a druggie? You use probably as many drugs as I do and you sell a shitload of weed! Are your customers "druggie losers"? LOL Regardless, I don't find this the least bit offensive cause you have no clue what I do or don't do. I simply posted these comments without trying to get into an argument, and to show real people from those countries are bothered by those comments to prove that they were insensitive (which they ARE) then you insulted me. Have a nice day

Yeah, I hope Stipe fucks him up now. What a loser. Seriously why though? I mean I don't care if you disagree, but he feels upset because he came from a country that faced hardship and Trump's comments made him feel like he and people from his country aren't wanted here...and I can't imagine why his comments would make immigrants from those countries feel any other way. How do you think you'd feel if you were from those countries? How could you POSSIBLY feel differently if you were from those countries, escaped hardship to come here, and heard Trump saying that he thought those people shouldn't be here because their country is a shithole? He could even be talking about Francis's own family that he doesn't want them here. Get past the debate over whether or not these countries are "Shitholes", in fact, assume they ARE, and these people are doing their best to get out and come here for a better life, and the president says they aren't wanted because of where they come from. If his comments are to believed, he literally said he doesn't want people from those countries coming here. I cannot logically understand why people feel otherwise and think they wouldn't be offended if they came from those countries. I like Ngannou and hope he wins.

Trump's wife isn't from one those countries so her situation is entirely different. For all intents and purposes Trump may as well have been telling Francis he shouldn't even be here, and to go the fuck home. How would you NOT feel insulted if you came from one of those countries escaping hardship and were told you were not wanted here because you came from a "shithole" (lets even agree that it is one...)?

He basically admits it without even knowing it.

Everyone is focusing on that part and I don't get it cause that's not why people like this are offended. They are offended because the suggestion is that they are less wanted here than people from countries like Norway (IF in fact Trump DID say what many say he did...and I think he did...he compared them) because the country is shitty. Even if we agree that it is shitty...and Ngannou does in fact seem to be agreeing he came from a rough place...why is it NOT offensive to say he and others from those countries should be less welcome here because of it??? Come on dude, you are intelligent and you seem to care about people people being in the medical profession right? So if you are from one of those countries, and you come here to escape hardship, wouldn't you find it offensive that the president said "hey, we don't want you here because you came from a bad place, we only want people from good places like Norway"?? How would you NOT find it offensive?? The implication, very clearly, is that being from a shitty place makes YOU a shitty person who we should not welcome here. What happened to "give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses" ? America has generally been thought of as the land of opportunity that welcomes people who have come from hard ship and impoverished countries. Wouldn't it very much seem that Trump does NOT stand by that statement? Don't his comments make it sound like he's NOT interested in supporting the idea that America can be a safe haven for people coming from "shitholes", that he doesn't want them to come here, and that he probably also wants them to go home?

There is nothing in the constitution that says you have a right to come to America. Apparently the democrats are only serving the non residents these days instead of the fools who put them in office. They may not have a constitutional "right", but it is certainly not forbidden either, and it's certainly one of the main ideas that makes America considered "the land of opportunity" for immigrants, and has since the very beginning. Don't you consider it a positive attribute of America that we can be a place that can help those who are trying to escape "shithole" countries with bad conditions? That we can be that "beacon of hope" for them? I would assume you do. Again, consider if it would NOT be INCREDIBLY offensive to someone coming from one of these countries to be told they are not wanted here by the president because they came from shitty places? Would you, or would you not, be offended if you were trying to escape a bad situation from another country, and were told that even if you DO go through the proper channels, you are not wanted here??

First off, if it’s not a constitutional right then the elected president has a lot of discretion.
Secondly, I voted for Trump because he wasn’t a fake ass career politician who changes colors like a chameleon. Trump is a shrewd business man so he will speak his mind even when it’s not the wisest move. I’d rather have someone who says what he thinks and not just what you want to hear. I’ll gladly accept it as long as the economy keeps growing.

Lets get past whether the place is a shit hole or not? Why? Is it a shithole? If yes, then Trump didn't say anything that wasn't true. He was just stating a fact. Why is that so hard to deal with?
I was speaking with a employee about Trumps comments the other day. My employee was saying it was racist. So I said, ok you are going to rent your house out. One family is section 8 and one family makes $100k a year. Who are you going to rent it to? He said in about a second he would take the people making $100k a year. I then asked him why is was ok for him to want to take the rich people but its not ok for our President to want to take the rich people (Norwegians).
Trump didn't say he wouldn't take them, did he? He just said he would rather take the rich people from Norway.
Oh and Africa calling Trump a racist.. WTF is that, wasn't it in 2011 when the South African President was singing "kill the boar's" translation Kill the white farmers..
I'm rooting for Stipe.

Unemployment at a 17 year low > hurt feelings at an all time high Well I actually think that unemployment being at a low has to do with changes Obama made while in office. But regardless, you can agree with 99% of things a guy like Trump says and disagree with this one thing can't you? Why do people think they can't own up to the fact that this was a fucked up thing for Trump to say and STILL support him? You can do that can't you? And it's not just "hurt feelings" if he acts on it and tries to cut off aid to these countries. People's lives could really be messed up cause of it. There's still no reason you can't love Trump in most ways and not agree that this was wrong for him to say, and it's not that it wasn't "the wisest move" for him to say it, it's simply not a value that America is supposed to have, that we are not compassionate about those coming from difficult circumstances in other countries. We are supposed to be better than that.
