No it’s not. I just followed your link How is it not? It’s another horseshit “racial disparity” study wherein numbers are crunched until they find a disparity they can impute racism into. You can bet that it was reverse engineered from that conclusion So prosecutors were more likely to plea bargain with white first time felons than black first time felons? So what? First time white felons are likely to be committing different felonies than blacks.

Umm I was able to download it and view it in the browser both. ...and yet you have no thoughts on it, worthwhile or otherwise. I think it raises a very solid conclusion, and the next step will be expanding the research to all 50 states to make sure it isn't geoculturally limited. At the very least it shows there is an obvious racial bias in Wisconsin.

Angelo's new fantasy career is Social Justice Warrior. Unsurprisingly, he's a failure at this too. This forum and lack of reading comprehension and love of jumping to conclusions.... Hell I'm the one that constantly points out that race usually has nothing to do with the treatment by the system but rather wealth/power. Trends among felony plea bargaining backs that up too (at least it used to). That also raises an interesting question about the conclusion of this study, since the conclusion is sound. Why do things change so much at the misdemeanor level, and since it is odd that that would be the case, is it in fact a result of geocultural factors making it an aberration in the country. I'd love to hear your reasoning on why a peer-reviewed scientific article makes me a SJW though.

Oh, anyone placing odds on who the grand jury indicted? I still think Manafort is the leading contender, though the timing wouldn't make either Podesta a surprise either.

It’s typical SJW behavior to use an appeal to authority and pretentiousness (“derffduffduff peer reviewed snarf snarf”)as stand in for a philosophical argument. Also that article smacks of SJW and serves no other purpose

Regardless of what a scientific study "smacks of", science is science when done in a properly controlled manner and is fact. Now if you want to reject reality and substitute your own, so be it, but that is getting into some serious quantum theories and in this reality, this is fact.

Social sciences are called soft sciences for a reason. Yes, and if he read the study he'd see that that much of it focused on hard data rather than sociological theories, subjective "data", and conjecture. The actual hard data, the numbers from the actual court records of the state of Wisconsin show there is an obvious racial bias. He used Wisconsin because it was one of the few states that allows access to all the records and also extended information on the defendants, prosecutors, and defenders and more importantly, doesn't have mandatory maximum and minimums for most crimes when plea bargaining. Then accounting for prosecutor/defender experience, defendant wealth, criminal history, and making sure they were comparing the same crime in similar circumstances, etc.... About 20% higher incarceration rate for blacks, 74% more likely for white person's charges to be reduced/dropped (25% when no criminal history for either), longer sentences for blacks (though the way they calculated the longer sentences isn't sound), and more. The numbers really show there is something up with race, at least in Wisconsin. However it is entirely possible that many of the prosecutors and defenders feel that the it comes down to a jury being more likely to convict a black person so they don't have to give away as much in a plea bargain. Or it could be actual racial bias among their court system, especially if it mostly run by a homogeneous group.

After everything that's come out with the left's connections to Russia, I have an idea.
I think a good rule of thumb from now on would be anytime the left accuses anyone of doing something, an immediate investigation should be launched into the left, because they are probably doing what they are accusing the other person of doing.
From antifa being fascists and claiming to be against fascism all the way to Hillary paying Fusion DHS to dig up dirt on Trump or just straight invent bulshit and then accuse Trump of doing what she just did, all the way up to the uranium one scandal.
As some guy on Tucker Carlson said the other night, everyone is colluding with Russia, except for Trump.
Seems to me like the left has a serious case of self-loathing going on. They do all of this terrible shit but then accuse the other side of doing the exact shit that they are doing. To me it represents a tremendous disrespect for the intellect of the average American.

Every cheap “they’ll never fall for this crap” ploy they ever tried ended up succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. The problem is, they got full of themselves. They forgot that the entirety of their success came from having complete control of media, not from themselves being great geniuses*. If there had been an Internet in 1995, Bill Clinton would have died in jail over the Chinese military connections

Your peer reviewed scientific paper is junk science. It points towards racism as accounting for differences in the way blacks are treated by prosecutors in a very unscientific way (the only science at play is the science of deception). All we know is that black felons are less likely to get a plea offer than white felons. This proceeds from the false assumption that each felony is the same exact crime in the same circumstance. But of course, they reverse engineered the study from its conclusion which is that blacks are treated differently and that has nothing to do with their behavior and everything to do with white racism.

I didn't read the study, but it sounds like a more accurate study would use socioeconomic means rather than race.
Black people get caught up in, and fucked by, our criminal justice system because of a lack of money. It's not because they are black. Go sit in on your local court docket. It starts as a drone of "your honor, my client....here's the amount of money we agreed on to make this go away". Then when that period of the docket is over, take a look around. What you have left is poor people. Not black people.
If you don't have money to play the capitalistic justice game that's been slowly normalized over the past 50 years, you're beat. You're going to get fucked over and it's that simple. You can be as white as the dragon lady from game of thrones and if your pockets aren't full, you may as well be Rodney King in a courtroom.

You can be as white as the dragon lady from game of thrones and if your pockets aren't full, you may as well be Rodney King in a courtroom. It accounted for socioeconomic differences as much as it could since it is already known that is the lead indicator of crime in the first place. The study was comparing the same crimes being plea bargained, among similar socioeconomic status which is one of the main reasons the study needed 7 years worth of data so they could match socioeconomic status to remove it as a factor best they could. Now granted they aren't going to being able to control for it completely for as much data as was available, there are going to be a few things that just isn't known, and nobody is exactly alike, but doing the best they can and getting differences in percentages as big as they did... It raises serious questions. And fine, if not race nor' socioeconomic status, what explains the differences here? I'm completely open to theories on this, and the only reason I find this study interesting is the fact it used hard data as opposed to manipulated and theoretical data like most of these racism studies do.

This is fantastic.
Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell arrested in Arizona on gun charge
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell has been arrested after a female food delivery person alleged he pointed a gun at her.
Maxwell was the only player in Major League Baseball this year to take a knee during the national anthem to protest racial injustice.
Scottsdale police said officers went to Maxwell's home Saturday night after getting a call about a person with a gun. Maxwell was booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.
Police said Maxwell was held in custody pending an initial appearance.
"We were disappointed to learn of the allegations," the A's said via statement on Sunday. "We take this situation and ongoing investigation seriously. We are gathering information from the proper authorities and do not have further comment at this time."
TMZ Sports first reported the arrest.
Maxwell, 26, hit .237 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs in 76 games this season. He was projected to be Oakland's starting catcher next year.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Does Angelo's silly-ass "racial disparity" study explain whether or not juvenile offenses were factored into their examination of this alleged unfairness?
I'd be willing to bet not. Because prosecutors have access to any criminal offenses as a juvenile that may have been committed by an accused felon.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and just SPECULATE that the average black criminal facing felony charges probably has a significantly WORSE juvenile record than a white felon facing the same charge. Hence, they face harsher treatment, because THEIR BEHAVIOR, CONSIDERED IN TOTAL, warrants it.
And any of you dweebs that want to whine that I'm a racist for suggesting this, get a f*cking grip on reality, read the last seven words of my sig, and shut up. I enthusiastically invite you to prove me wrong.

Actually you bring up a good point, that is something that wasn't accounted for in the study, and something that in the future when re-doing the study they should attempt to get permission to get. However your speculation that juvenile offenses affected the rates as much as it did is extremely thin, though it is a possibility.
