I saw legitimate calls, not nut job BLM goons, but mayors, respected leaders, calling to demolish the faces on Rushmore, take down Columbus statues . . . in Columbus. The UK outlawed slavery in 1883. Africans still have slavery. Arabs held more slaves than anyone in history, and that's only because the Asians didn't keep records of their slave numbers. Slavery is as old as time and as multi-cultural as a fucking Bernie Sanders rally. Get over yourself. I'm with Penn, take every statue down. Why the fuck do we need them?

And I would agree with Sean Penn if he can tell me what the Civil War was actually fought about. I would bet that his answer would put slavery at the top of the list of reasons that the Civil War was fought. And as usual, he'd be wrong.
the greatest role that man ever played was that of Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Not sure why anyone thinks they should listen to anything he says with regards to politics.
One good thing about all of this retarded hoopla occurring within our society is that it has lead me to go back and brush up on my history. More people who are outraged should do the same thing.

You know what 2 answers everyone said?.......... slavery and racism. I wish voting ability was subject to a test of mental competency

Wasn't the civil war fought over states rights due to the feds trying to push out slavery?
And if not, than why was slavery abolished immediately after the war?

Sweet. But wasn't the war basically fought over slavery than? That's pretty much what the threat of sucession was over, no?

So if the civil war was about sucession...and states rights...but the underlying issue that was pushing them out was slavery. How is this war not about slavery again?
I feel some of you are revising this shit.
The underlying cause here was slavery. Period.

"I do but quote from one of those speeches when I declare that "I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so." Lincoln's First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1861. Slavery is wrong but to say that it triggered the civil war would be dishonest. The union won, they can write history as if they went in there to white knight for slaves.

Ill only ask this... If the civil war was fought over a moral dilemma of human slavery, then why did the winning team(who was supposedly against slavery) enact racial segregation laws after they won the war to "end slavery" That would seem counter productive, if indeed "ending slavery" was your main reason for fighting a war...

Lincoln had to politic his way through that shit, don't forget.
Another thing people forget about Lincoln and our govt is that we were attempting to send the slaves down to central america, under the guise that the coal down there could support a viable new economy. It couldn't, we knew that, but a couple ships were sent regardless.
Slavery is the underlying cause of that war. We can call it due to sucession, tariffs, etc...but it's slavery.

Lol.
But seriously though. You do harp on the democrats = evil quite a bit. Republicans are faulty as fuck in thier own ways.
But I get it. You've got your narrative. Gonna stick to it.
Bottom line is the underlying cause of the war was slavery. It's pretry apparent. But for some reason some whites don't like to cop up to that one. It's our flaw.

Did your grandparents go to the 'klanbake' back in the day? Mine didn't, because my grandparents were republicans. 1924 Democratic national convention.. it was hot out that day, and the democrats forgot their sunscreen so they wore bed sheets to keep from getting sunburned.

Well that explains a lot. It's been engrained in your dome from day 1. Republican = Good. Dem = Bad. Personally, I cant get behind either.
I prefer to pick and choose my views based on the topic. But that's just me.
I don't and never had cared much for the team think.

Wasn't the civil war fought over states rights due to the feds trying to push out slavery? And if not, than why was slavery abolished immediately after the war? You know the answer even if you don't. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ It's hilarious/sad that somehow we've got this idea that all these white men from the North went to war with Southern white men because they had a moral objection to Southern white men owning African black men. That wasn't why they were pissed. Even the tards at HuffPo are admitting that moral objection to slavery was not the reason for it. The south had a huge economic advantage due to their large slave labor pool, compared to the factories in the north that had to pay their workers. They can yap that slavery was central to the war, and state's were fighting for their right to secede. But that's bullshit. The north wanted the south to pay higher taxes due to their slave labor, and the south was like "yeah, fuck that." The Civil War was fought over money. If it were fought over slavery, the Emancipation Proclamation would have been written and spoken PRIOR to the war, not 1 and 1/2 years after it started. Slavery was abolished so the rich white guys in the north could easier compete with the rich white guys from the south. Don't tell the black people. Although they don't seem to give a single fuck that in their version of why the war was fought, hundreds of thousands of WHITE GUYS came to their aid. I guess they were evil too.

And let's take a look at LBJ...
He's famous for "flipping" the two parties...he turned the racist kkk democrat party into the republican party.
He established equality among men, and also flipped the two partie's ideologies when he invented welfare...his famous presidential quote being, "I'll have the niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years after I give them welfare."
Right after LBJ said that, the democrats and republicans traded sides and the democrats gave their bedsheet sunmasks to the republicans...
