Both Chappelle's new specials and Louis CK's 2017 special, on Netflix are all excellent Favorite part of Louis'..... "Hey, what year is it? "It's the year three" "....yeah but I'm twenty eight" Open your dick when you pee. It looks like you're pissing out of the corner of a pillow. . . . and . . . this movie ends with me being gay.

Chapelle certainly said some aggressively un-PC things, mocking trans people, calling out criminal culture in black neighborhoods, observing how bad Hitlary was.
Louis CK also said anti-abortion people literally believe you're killing babies, so of course they protest and scream . . . they think you're killing babies.
Agree with your overall point.
Joe Rogan is a conservative comedian for sure, though certainly not a darling of pop culture.
Mark Wahlberg, Chris Pratt, Vince Vaughn, Cling Eastwood.
Kind of telling when out of hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands of possible samples, you can name 3-4 if you really think about it for a while.

saw part of martin lawrence's "Doin Time" stand up special the other night. horribly un-funny. i could only watch about 15-20 minutes of it. MAYBE one mild chuckle during that time. i like some of his stuff. i thought his tv show was pretty funny. i liked national security and the bad boys movies. i saw one of his previous stand ups and it was ok. the guy just has zero funny material. his delivery is good. he has great energy on stage, but the material just isn't there.

From the Louis CK 2017 special, "Racial stereotypes are hurtful.....but the voices are funny.....And I don't know how to reconcile those two things"

My Wife and I went and saw Bert Kreischer in Nashville this weekend. Very funny. He has a special on one of the cable networks not HBO. Does the "I am the Machine" bit. His live show was very funny. Scott Stapp from Creed was in the audience and Bert sang "With arms wide open" to open the show.

Norm MacDonald's Netflix stand up special just came out. Watched some of it already and holy shit, it's fucking awesome so far Starts up so weird. Like the show had already started beforehand and he's now talking about eating a porkchop and how different it is eating at home and dining out. None of this should be funny, but he just has this gift of injecting humor in to anything and everything he talks about. Once he got into the next segment about Lincoln's use of "score" and Washington chopping down the cherry tree, I was in full hysterics.....then I had to peel myself away to go to work Fuck I love this guy so much. If HBO ever does another Talking Funny, I want the four people to be Norm, Louis CK, Bill Burr and Dave Chappelle. Could be the best conversation ever had by anyone anywhere

I really enjoy standup. Watch almost everything Netflix releases. This is probably one of the top 3 specials I have EVER seen.

You won't be disappointed. He's always been one of my favorites. Over the last few years though Norton maybe the only American standup comic who's shows I've really liked, rest seem to be getting relying too much on political humour and not handling it well.. Bunch of ones overseas I still liking though. Jimmy Carr, Dylan Moran, Steve Hughes, probably some more if I thought about it.

Shame of Joe for defending her. He has two different videos of defending her. Watched a couple of Tosh's standup. They were good. Side note. I knew Jim Norton as a kid. He wasn't a good friend or anything like that. He was a neighbor to my friend and my friend was friends with Jim. We hung out as his house a few times. I wouldn't say he was funny as a kid, but he was on the strange side LOL. So the "monster rain" stories are all true I presume?

Went to see Brendan Schäub do his stand up deal. Didn't know what to expect but it was local and on an off weekend. Was pleasantly surprised. Now, he's a got some ways to go, but he is a lot better than I had expected.
He tells this great life story that partially centers around his fight with Browne. He's worked this story for an audience and he has done it well. Dude had me in tears laughing.
He gave Browne his props. Made a comment like, "this dude just Merked me...and I'm pretty sure he's fucking my ex girlfriend"
I wasn't a fan of the guy really but he won me over a bit last night. Took questions from the crowd, really seemed like he enjpyed himself up there. I dug it.

Netflix has the 25 year anniversary of Def Comedy jam. Not really a comedy special, sort of like a tribute show. But EVERYONE showed up and made a cameo. Pretty funny and nostalgic. A can't miss if you were a fan of that show.

Interesting. I've been wondering what one of his sets would be like. I'm not too big a fan of him on JRE. Lots of huffing and puffing.

If you don't like him on JRE, you wont like his set. Its really the same thing. A few stories from his childhood. Long diatribe about trans gender issues. I wont go see him again. But.....he could have also just been mailing it in. He actually looked like shit. Came up on stage in shitty jeans, shitty sweatshirt and old ass white shoes. It was almost like he just showed up 5 mins prior. After the show, he was gone. Walked off stage, and never came back out for anything.

Anyone here watch the "Green Room with Paul Provenza" when it was on? Amazing round table with stand-up comedians. You can get all the episodes on YouTube now if you haven't, about 25 minutes each, 12 episodes total.
