Crazy fun Stanford vs UCLA game. Can't believe Stanford was down 4 and willing to punt 4th and 1 twice within 6 minutes left from about the 50! That's some bold belief in your defense but it worked. And then on the very last play of the game after Stanford goes up by 3, UCLA's QB gets stripped and Stanford runs it 40 yards in to cover the spread. I was the only one left paying attention and waiting to see if that scored actually counted. Lots of seriously dejected Bruins fans but both teams have surprisingly legit defenses which is rare for Pac-12 football.
Saw that Louisville QB had another 7 TDs. I watched McCaffrey live for the first time and UCLAs defense bottled him up for the most part. Clear Heisman leader now in Louisville.
I am stoked Ole Miss ran over Georgia.
BIG, BIG games next weekend with a few top 10 vs top 10 games.

Agree. This was the best week since week one.
Week FIVE looks really solid, too.
A soft Stanford vs a surprising Washington where you've got to imagine a lot of folks favoring Wash.
Notre Dame has completely fallen apart. I believe they are now 1-5 in their past 6 games. Yeesh. They'll take on Syracuse next week.
Texas comes to OKST in a game that's anybody's guess. I'll go TX by 10.
An interesting Tenn team matches up with the perennially over rated Georgia and I'd love to see another L for the dogs just to get them off the radar for the remainder of 2016.
Wisconsin @ Michigan is the game of the week for sure. Top 10 battle there.
OU @ TCU will be interesting for me. The Big 12 is a mess and I think all these upper-half conf games are toss ups at this point.
Lousiville @ Clemson is not the game of the week . . . it's perhaps the game of the year. Set your fucking DVRs now.

It pays to be a blue blood.
OU was pre season #3, LSU was pre season #5, Notre Dame was pre season #10 . . . let that sink in for a second.

Good weekend of games. I've been skeptical of Tennessee . Actually nice to see them get good qb play and play aggressive on d and o lines and put a (I think...) solid win against (I think...) a decent Florida team.
Nice to not see my team lose. Too bad they were merely idle. Haha
Didn't see bayor osu
Wiscy played really well and forced some msu turnovers. Damn good season they are putting together.
Shit... I was only half joking when I referred to auburn Lsu as the job search .com bowl. Lsu has really fjucked up. They should have fired les after their bowl game. As it stands... They ruined last season with swirling rumors and failing to get jimbo... And now they've ruined this season as well.
Tom Herman is gonna get PAID!!!! He could have a bidding war between Lsu and usc for his services. Houston connection.... Young... Plays Ohio state like smash spread run based offense ... Gets platinum grills....seems like a perfect fit for Lsu.
BVG get canned as nd dc. Ndhas talent ... But there seems to be scheme issues. Also seems odd to me that even with high draft picks like two, jalen smith, Lewis nix, and Sheldon day..... Nd never seems to put big game changing hits on people. ND is one of only three bcs teams who only have one sack this season. Another team on that list is Nevada.... Who nd has their lone sack against. Something just ain't right.

Okay I sat in the rain (the whole fucking game) for the USC vs Utah Utes game on the 23rd and holy shit was it good! granted there was some turn over problems again for the UTES but we were down 10 in the 4th quarter, but to score 3 TD on the final 3 drives of the game was awesome to see! Defense stepped up to stop when needed, several 4th and 1's converted to extend drives and best of all no dumb INTs from our QB Williams. Utes ranked #18 in the nation after starting the season un-ranked got to win the games we are supposed to and also get lucky a few times against some tough opponents and we can poss even make it to the playoffs ( crosses fingers) or at least go to a good bowl game Our QB is solid (if he keeps his INTs down) RBs are stepping up, WRs are solid, Special teams are always good especially punters, Defense is our strong suit with our only weakness being lack of experience on the LBs I am excited for my team this year we play @ Cal on paper we should win, but we all know games arent on paper

I want to like McCaffrey but two weeks in a row he LOOKS like a white running back. Kudos to Washington's defense but I am not sure this dude can create space like we have seen with other elite backs. Or maybe Washington keyed on him and just shut him down.

Those are a few of my bets. The ones I like the most. I still need to do a 3 team parlay. I'm thinking Miami, Tenn then either Florida or Duke.

Guess we can quit talking about McCaffery. Stanford got spanked, hard, and defenses are keying on him and shutting things down.
Incredible upsets all over the place. All of these are ranked teams lost or losing to lower ranked or unranked opponents.
Obviously Stanford was annihilated by Washington.
Utah getting lit up by Cal.
Kentucky tied with Bama in the 2nd quarter.
Tenn survives by 3 against a very mediocre Georgia.
North Carolina beats FSU.
Baylor survives by 3 against a terrible Iowa St.
Texas gets spanked by OKST by 18.
OU up by 6 with 2 min to go over TCU . . . TCU has the ball and is driving. A touchdown wins. Interesting game with some huge momentum swings so far.

Louisville looking a tad predictable early. Clemson really rising to the challenge and showing a strong home field advantage with crowd noise and intensity.

I need a big 2nd half in this Clemson vs Louisville game. I need the over 64 points

That's one of the better games I've seen in quite some time. Two incredibly talented teams, great balance, intensity, execution, play-making, very evenly matched, a lot on the line, all coming down to the final possession. You can't beat that. I'm not sure anybody goes into Clemson and wins a game this year. Will be interesting to see what the rankings monkeys do with Louisville who is clearly a hyper-elite team that lost a nail biter on the road to a top 5 team. Would assume Louisville and Clemson just switch spots.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but isn't there something that can be done to shorten these fucking games? The NFL, even in prime time, can manage to end a game within 3.5 hours. Why are all of these fucking college games going 4+ hours? I think it's time to revisit the whole "stopping the clock to move the chains thing" since college reviews every other goddamn play. I stopped watching baseball as a kid because the games were too long. Well, that and baseball is a fucking bore. But still, college needs to do something about these games, they are ridiculously long.

Kind of a down week.
OU vs. Tex is always fun.
Tenn @ A&M is pretty massive. Both teams kind of infamous for 2nd half play. A&M for falling off after a great opening half. And Tenn for making dramatic comebacks after a lackluster 1st half. Interesting match-up. Taking A&M here.
I think Bama @ Arkansas will be more interesting than people think, but ultimately Ark wears down and fades late.
Having a hard time believing Miami is a top 10 team. Wish I hated FSU less so I could root for them in FSU @ Miami.

Kansas nearly beat TCU. Unreal hangover from another disappointing loss vs. OU this year for TCU.
Texas vs. OU was a fun game. Seemed both teams were nearly identical. No run game. Lots of penalties. Hit deep balls with regularity. Mixon muffed a punt that Texas recovered and ran in which got called back due to a fair catch signal prior to the muff (cannot advance), otherwise this thing is anybody's game. OU wins by 5, largely on the play of Westbrook, an emerging star at receiver. 85 total points scored, a series record.
Houston losing to Navy.
OKST losing to Iowa St.
North Caroling losing to V Tech.
#8 A&M is smacking Tenn around with a QB who couldn't keep his job at OU.
Typical Saturday these days . . . yeesh.

Yeah, Bama is good. Ohio St would have a chance.
Next couple game can be fun. Bama is playing Tennessee next week then Texas A&M. While I think Bama will win, Aggies could make it interesting.

Bama's team size/speed is just insurmountable. I think Ohio St, Louisville, Clemson, and maybe one or two other squads have a chance, but they will need to be lights-out, in the zone, game of the year mode. Bama still wins all those games 7 times out of 10 just by running through arm tackles, smothering the lines of scrimmage, and wearing people down in the 2nd halves.

Another soft weekend coming up, but there are some real gems:
I think KState @ OU will be more interesting than most expect Would love to say the same for Bama @ Tenn, but it's a top 10 match-up non-the-less Love Ole Miss @ Arkansas and expect a close one there Stanford @ Notre Dame just for the shock factor to see who was the more over-rated blue blood this year Ohio St @ Wiscy is the game of the week, no question about it

Should be a good weekend it's a bit bittersweet to see how fast this amazing regular season is going by. Nfl ratings are down like 16 percent. Not so for college ratings.
Interesting to try to assess which home underdog actually HS the better chance of getting the upset over the two major elite teams this season .... bama and tosu. I think Tennessee actually has the better chance of pulling the upset than wiscy does. Tenn can score on bama . I would not think wiscy O would be able to score consistently on tosu.
It's an interesting year. Tosu bama and Clemson clearly look to be elite .... a decent gap above everyone else. Then.... from 4-7 you have several teams in the running.... Michigan. Washington. Louisville. Txam.

There was some good games yesterday.
Clemson.. Should've lost twice but ended up winning LOL. NC State kicker sucks, NC state should've won that game Ohio st. Wisconsin played them very well in the 1st half. I didn't get to see much of the 2nd half.
Bama. I thought Tenn could give them some problems. Atleast make it interesting. NOPE. Bama is a beast.
Betting. Horrid day for me. I really thought the Oklahoma vs K State would go over 58, Texas Tech wasn't as good as I thought, Houston didn't cover.

Clemson winning is nearly unbelievable. They were gifted a win. Hangover from the Louisiana win I guess.
Ohis St vs Wiscy was phenomenal, play-off level football. Kind of thought Wiscy had the better game. Ohio St made a couple big plays when it mattered and got the W in a great, competitive match between two heavy hitters.
Houston is absolutely imploding. Neck-and-neck with Tulsa literally to the final seconds of the game on the 1 yd line about to force OT.
Arkansas vs Ole Miss was fun. Arkansas looked really stout in the 2nd half.
Bama is so good it's not even fun anymore. Jesus.

Have said it before and will repeat again... Saban is the best coach in the history of cfb. Ever. Now. Not if he wins 2 more. Now. The best. it's not just the amassing of talent.... it's what he does with that talent. He gets the he guys to buy in and be perfectionist. U wanna see a team who signs endless 4 and 5 stars without setting up the framework to let great team leaders hold other teammates accountable?? Just look at USC, tennessee, Texas, or LSU.
I've said repeatedly that clemson had made that step to join the other two elite programs. (Tosu and bama). Not so sure about that. Something just seems off about clemson this year. Their super talented d line got their asses kicked saturday.
It's looking like the acc is the deepest and best conference this season.
General dreedle and colonel catchcart and the rest of the bumbling idiots are meeting in the big12 meetings today. Will they expand ? Who knows. I kinda think they will not expand and the only change they will introduce is the addition of the champ game next season ... with details about how the two teams playing in that game will be decided .
It won't matter. The power 4 is coming. It's a certainty.

I agree 100% about Saban. As has been pointed out before, what he's doing blows away some of the greats of yesteryear. Whereas Bear Bryant and the like really only had to compete against a handful of school for the top recruits, that is not the case anymore. Also, there is A LOT more competition now. It's a fucking shark tank. And yet his teams are routinely better than everyone else. This might be his best team yet, and that's insane.
