You probably won't need the sleep aids without caffeine.

Falling asleep isn't a problem, it's staying asleep that is.
Anyway, it's been over 24 hours now.

Man, so I am 43 and I just don't have the energy like I used to. I exercise at least 3-4 times a week and I eat pretty clean but I still feel so damn lazy. I have been drinking coffee for over 20 years, taking these damn sleep aids every single day for probably 4 years or so, and I have been drinking beer or wine every evening for probably 15 years or so. Usually just a few drinks a night, but still. I need a change. I have an eight year old son and I lack the energy I need to keep up. Same thing with the wife. I rarely ever want to do anything except chill at the house and have a drink, play a little music, etc. I'd like to quit it all forever but I am just looking at a few weeks for the time being. Not trying to get all crazy and shit. Ha.

Good luck man. Those are all very good reasons, especially with your boy.
Reward yourself with a 6-pack on weekends every once in a while so you don't go crazy!

Yeah, I love beer
I could give a shit about the other stuff but the beer is something I would like to be able to have once in a while.

Eh, having a few on work days and getting a good buzz on Fri or sat. I see nothing wrong with that. If you stop drinking caffeine around 1 or 2 pm. The booze should help you rest. . However getting shit faced does not promote restful sleep at all.

I'm really enjoying my sober time, it has revitalized my music hobby. Evenings especially, when the family is watching some dumb movie/show, I go learn some new songs. If I was drunk i'd be watching with them or passed out.

Yeah, I thought about my testosterone. Diabetes also runs in my family. I have avoided it so far by keeping fit, weight down, and eating right but not sure if my fatigue is blood/sugar related.
Hopefully I will feel better getting this crap purged out of me
****I would love a fucking cup of coffee right now. Shit.

That TRT is amazing. You are in the age that you can get a legit, controlled dose from a doctor. It will give you energy and will make you want to f#ck like a rabbit.

It will give you energy and will make you want to f#ck like a rabbit. +1 TRT, bi-weekly B12, and HCG will have you feeling like a champion. I just started about 2-3 months ago and it's worked out well. Even when I don't get time to lift, I don't end up looking/feeling like a tub of shit. My wife isn't mad at how much dong I throw at her either. Win/Win for both of us.

21 days. You should be getting some benefit though. In my experience, I start to feel "gains" after 3 days of not doing something.

You try taking anything for your liver? Milk Thistle, Liv 5.1, or even that LiverAid stuff at Walmart. Never know. It could move along the regenerative properties.

My liver enzymes were high (not crazy high) last time I went to have blood work which was about 6 months ago. I was kind of shocked because I didn't think I drank THAT much.
I was just drinking too often (every night) with no breaks.
I never thought a few drinks a night and maybe double that on Fri and Sat was THAT BAD
I chilled out some after that blood work scare but here recently I was back to drinking every night again.

Falling asleep isn't a problem, it's staying asleep that is. Anyway, it's been over 24 hours now. (....blank stare....) Well no wonder you can't stay asleep after having a few drinks in the evening... Alcohol will make you sleepy, but once the sugar load hits - it'll wake your ass up. PLUS you skip REM sleep if you drink before bed (you go right into deep sleep), so your body thinks it's had enough sleep after a few hours and you'll wake up. Skip the booze in the evenings or, if you must have a beer, at least try not to drink anything 3-4 hours before you go to bed. Once your body acclimates you'll feel way better. All that said, I figure it's probably more to do with your age than anything. Not to be insulting, but you're 43 man! You can't do the same shit to your body that you did at 23... hell, even 33. Trust me though, I feel your pain. I'm 35 in a few weeks, and I feel that number in myself all the time. I can't even look at a coffee after 5pm or I'll be up all night (I used to drink a large coffee, or more, at 8pm but still sleep like a baby by midnight). If I go out for a night with friends, I pay for it dearly. This summer I spent A LOT of time camping and going to cottages (with copious amounts of alcohol involved) and I can't even count the number of times I woke up dry heaving and then dragged myself through the next day or two. LA and faqer could confirm that I used to drink like a champ, but those days are long gone now... I dread my 40's if my body has already changed this much. This getting older shit sucks.

As you get older, your body gets less efficient. Specifically for lack of energy and focus, look into taking a regimen of CDP-Choline, Piracetam, and Pyritinol.
