On the Pence/Trump "not talking" thing, here was an article that agreed it was kind of odd to say the least that they disagreed on what to do in Syria and haven't spoken about it lately since they also claim to be "closer than ever" and talk every day:
A Trump campaign spokesman, brushing aside reports of friction between the Republican nominee and his running mate, said that Donald Trump and Mike Pence talk “every single day” and are the “most united ticket in history.”
The assertions by Trump spokesman Jason Miller came in the post-debate spin room in response to questions about Trump’s response during the debate when he said that he disagrees with comments Pence made about Syria and that they haven’t spoken about the issue.
“Mr. Trump, let me repeat the question: If you were president, what would you do about the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo?” asked moderator Martha Raddatz. “I want to remind you what your running mate said,” she continued, referencing Pence’s comments about Syria in the vice presidential debate one week earlier.
“He said, ‘Provocations by Russia need to be met with American strength,’” Raddatz reminded Trump. “And that if Russia continues to be involved in airstrikes along with the Syrian government forces of Assad, the United States of America should be prepared to use military force to strike the military targets of the Assad regime.”
“He and I haven’t spoken, and I disagree,” said Trump. “I disagree.”
Trump’s comment prompted Raddatz to shoot back: “You disagree with your running mate?” Trump ignored that question.
Miller said that Pence was referring to enforcing “safe zones” in Syria — presumably to allow humanitarian assistance — but did not elaborate. But Trump’s open disagreement with his own running mate on a central foreign policy issue was immediately seized on by Clinton campaign surrogates, and it prompted speculation of a new rift between Trump and Pence. “Its shocking,” Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill said about Trump’s admission that he and Pence had not discussed what to do about Syria.

Trump was disheveled, harried, anxious, rattled, and as smooth as concertina wire. He had several slow underhanded pitches thrown his way, and he didn't even notice them

He's old enough to worship Kyle Maynard as a legitimate MMA athlete and high school wrestling "star", despite no evidence whatsoever that this man (who has no lower legs or forearms) ever won the 36 high school wrestling "matches" he claims.
During our "discussions" over this, Toehold went looking for the videos that, he claimed, supported Maynard's wild claim. He couldn't find anything more than a grainy, ancient video depicting Maynard doing his leg-hug (his signature move, apparently) on an actual wresting mat, shot from about a hundred feet away....he ALSO believed that these HS "victories" -- IF they existed -- were won without special rules!
Toehold, thy name is GULLIBLE.
You remember Maynard: he wanted to be licensed as an MMA fighter (in AL or MS as I recall) seven years or so ago....based upon a bizarre staged "fight" tape, where Maynard does NOTHING more than hold onto the real fighter's leg!
Maynard is actually a real-life inspiration to many handicapped folks -- apparently climbing Kilamanjaro, which IS documented -- but I was one of many criticizing the Feel-Good Nonsense fight tape as the sorry exhibition that it actually was. Along the way, I ridiculed Toehold for his naivete as he tried to "lecture" me. He reacted like a typical liberal sheep, placing me on Ignore.
Naturally, I was shattered by this.
Toehold, obviously, hasn't gotten any better at discerning fact from fiction. It's a pity; we can only hope he doesn't vote.

When Hillary brought up Russia being an adversary, he could have knocked it out of the park by bringing up the fact that the state department ok'd the sale of our Uranium to Russia.

I had the same feeling when they started talking about immigration.
Trump should have IMMEDIATELY mentioned Hillary's remark (to Goldman Sachs) about her private dream of "open borders". Now THERE is a good example of a crazy, liberal dream....as well as one of her many contradictions.
But he managed to skewer her on her refugee plans anyway.
With Hillary Clinton, there are SO many lies, and so much disgusting/illegal behavior that sometimes her critics have to pick and choose.

I get the feeling Trump loses by a landslide. Why did he not take a page oUT of Pence's book and stay calm, dismiss her claims, and brutalize her when the timing was right? Instead (from what I heard) he got all coked up and hit some meth before walking around screaming like a tweaker.
He can't win with just his loyal supporters. He needs undecided voters and this doesn't win them. Pence was commended by both sides for the way he acted and Kaine was laughed at as the tweaker. Trump is going to get skewered in this election.

With all due respect, you'd have gotten a VERY different opinion if you'd have. You can believe your own eyes -- and not much else -- it matters like these.
Trump's performance was much improved from the first debate, and he never screamed at anyone.

Maybe. Well, probably but I couldn't put myself through that again. I don't care enough because I will never vote Clinton and a debate won't sway me towards Trump. I teeter towards him sometimes though.

Trump's face was doing its best impression of Don Corleone up there last night. I found it funny how they always tried to make them look the same height when they weren't standing next to each other. Anderson Cooper, for the most part, wasn't too bad. But that blonde chick helping him moderate was showing her bias all over the place, you could literally hear her reactions through her mic. Terrible.

A good drinking game would haven been, you drink every time....
Clinton says: "I'm very proud of that" and "Across the isle"
Trump says: "DisASTer" and "Everyone knows it"
And in regards to the disaster thing. This was the first time I sat and watched a debate this year start to finish, and I always thought people making fun of Trump were exagerating for comedic effect, when they would do that weird finger point and say "it's a disaster" over and over and over...............NOPE, haha. He's like a fucking wind up doll with that shit
And one place he kept messing up was when he went after Clinton on the emails, he kept throwing in other things on top of it. And with an experienced reptile like Hillary, you can NOT do that. Because all you're doing is giving her an opening to slide off the email thing and spend all her time addressing whatever else you said. And she took that opening and ran with it, every time

"Did you watch the debate?" "No. But I think....." "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!" "But the CNN-HuffingtonPost-FoxNews-Drudge poll says..." "Do you think that when you didn't read a book, that the teacher wants to read your book report on a book you didn't read?" "No. But this is all anyone is talking about." "That is true. You can help remedy that problem by not talking about something you didn't bother to watch."

Trump is incapable of calm focus - it's not his style. He is a person that repeats himself like he is selling you something and it comes across as scatterbrain. The format does him no favors as it's always a set-up, Hillary has the questions ahead of time, the moderators will try and nail Trump while never going after Hillary, but he has to know it going in. I thought he had a lot of good one liners and comebacks, and if you can ignore the repetition he had a lot better responses than she did. She evades questions differently than he does, but she looks like an evil joker about to explode and i think the world can see it.
I still don't know. For years I was convinced it was going to be Hillary in a landslide but there are never any legit polls that have her winning anything. We could see a lot of apathy even if she convinces the world Trump is the devil.
I am positive she had that Trump 2005 tape for a long time and they strategically used it two days before that debate. Not sure what she will use for the 3rd debate, but it will be something. BUT, the 3rd debate is going to get into those emails, her 5 staffers pleading the 5th, pay for play and Benghazi. She got the pass twice, but not in her 3rd. I suspect the 3rd debate will be an overwhelming, convincing, Trump destruction of Hillary simply because she will be unable to lie as easily and I expect Chris Wallace to at least force her to answer.
I will say this, if it was Cruz vs Hillary in a debate he would absolutely demolish her regardless of the slanted presentation that favors Hillary. He would force out her lies and schemes and it's too bad we don't have someone capable of doing that.

What shocked me the most, though it probably won't be picked up by the media is the tax the wealth question. Trump wants to close loopholes that even he uses, and only tax cut businesses and the middle/low class. Hillary for all intents and purposes admitted to want to keep the loopholes in place for her donors. I was pretty sure I heard her say she wanted to stop the tax loophole, but maybe that was the gun show loophole which I know for a fact she said she wanted to stop. The "gun show loophole". Serious LOL because I am confident you don't even know what it means and it's one of the most misunderstood liberal arguments made.

What I saw in the debate was the difference between a businessman and a lawyer. The lawyer can speak better, but when they are done you realize they said nothing. (No offense James).
I thought it was great that Trump was hammering on her, and all she could do was say, "That's not true." and then laugh like a crazy person.

There is another issue with asking Trump about his plans for Syria and his thoughts on Aleppo, ASSAD, etc. Hillary has been privy to national security information and been part of the decision making process for years. She's had a security clearance and seen all the evidence, the planning, etc. Trump is an outsider looking in so how the fuck can we hold him to the same standard? I would say his point that 200+ generals and admirals support HIM is a huge point in how badly she is a failure, and the Obama administration is a failure. The insiders that lead our troops want nothing to do with Hillary and that's a huge and easy point Trump can make when people want to question his diplomacy or lack of experience. No one trusts her today and they didn't trust her decisions while she was in office. I would hammer that over and over.

So interesting how many of us saw that debate.
First off, that 2005 tape was the most strategic part of this entire election thus far. Someone knows what they are doing.
I thought he didn't look so hot up there. He simply does not have that polished politicians way of speaking. While I personally find it refreshing, I believe many tools out there will be rubbed the wrong way over it. And I believe we have far too many tools in this country unfortunately. I don't things are looking too good for Trump right now.
And while I personally got a kick out of him telling Hillary she would be going to jail and literally laughed out loud, I don't think it did him any favors. Imo, it was just a threat that is idle unless he can actually get the presidency.

The history books have already been written. I borrowed Biff's almanac, Hilary wins.
Now what i'm not so sure of, is why we lose sight of the fact that this whole process is a farce.

I will be hopeful she loses or dies but I don't have sig bet level faith. I was calling a Hillary landslide since Obama got elected in 2008.

Yeah I think most people are coming to the realization that we are going to have President Hillary Clinton for the next 4 years, or however long she can stay upright, anyway. I think she'll take it comfortably (by electoral college standards, anyway). Popular vote may end up fairly close, though.

Thanks but I never participate in these. If I knew you personally I'd bet $20 or so just for fun, otherwise I only bet on NFL football.
As for the sea hag's prospects for success, they are sadly better than Trump's. Which is an awful fact to face.

Serious LOL because I am confident you don't even know what it means and it's one of the most misunderstood liberal arguments made. First of all, I am not even sure I am for "closing the gun show loophole" at all and I tend to be MUCH more right-leaning in my stance on guns. Keep in mind I believe even assault rifles should be sold to those who can pass backround checks and that they should be able to carry them openly like in Texas, so I do NOT support Hilary or most Dems' stance on guns. But tell me IF I am right here: that the gun show loophole is people at gun shows being willing to sell guns to people without doing background checks?? Am I right?? I THINK I am at least partially right. IF I'm right, I'd be for closing up that loophole as I believe in background checks being done to purchase guns so felons don't buy them but I believe that IF you pass a background check you should be able to buy any gun you want, even assault rifles, and carry them openly OR concealed (if you can conceal a gun that big). I DON'T understand why anyone would be against background checks: who wants someone who is a murderer buying a gun?? Sure, he can probably get it on the street, but at least if we see someone has committed assault or been imprisoned for a violent crime in the past or is on the no fly list we can deny them in your average gun shop. I think Hilary is WRONG on here stance there, probably the only thing I'd side with Trump on. People will get guns regardless and the gun laws IMO only keep them out of the hands of law abiding citizens (I don't think background checks do most of the time, but not being able to buy certain kinds of guns and other laws probably do). I am for comprehensive background checks and people having been convicted of violent crimes in the past or those on the no-fly list not being allowed to buy guns but everyone else being able to buy any gun they want and carry it however they want. (So OC...are you taking back your "serious LOL" now??) LOL

The no-gun zone thing is a grey area for me though: I mean if a business doesn't want those with guns entering that should probably be their right, but then you should just be ejected or else someone that works there should hold your gun for you till you leave, you shouldn't be arrested or anything.
You can choose not to enter if you want your gun BUT...I guess if there was a serious no gun zone there'd be metal detectors and guards patting you down and all that, making it safer anyway.
It would be up to you to try to sneak a gun if you want, but I don't believe that no gun zones keep people safer...it's more of a right of a business to make the decision if they want to tell you you can't enter with a gun, just like certain places don't allow smoking.
So I don't think that no gun zones work AT ALL, but whether or not it should be the right of a business to simply deny you entry while you have your gun on you is a different matter.
I think overall that it's been shown that areas where concealed carry is allowed are safer, and at some point I plan on probably buying a decent gun myself.
I've fired a few before, including an AR-15 which was a lot of fun, and some kind of hand gun (forget what kind) but other than that I know jack shit about guns.
I was told though by my friend who let me use his guns (he's a hunter and like some of you guys...real out doorsman) that I was a decent shot for my first time...I was shooting at those flying orange plate-like disks and some cans.
I couldn't hit the flying disks, but i was able to hit most of the cans on my first or second shot.
