I had a huge problem with it and I don't think it is a spoiler. Who the fuck gets pregnant 3 months into a monster/alien invasion? Dumb bitch. There are huge increases in birth rates after major disasters events. People feel sense of mortality, want to be loved, etc...

The new Thor—holy shit. I loved it. Like literally loved it. Out of all the Marvel movies and I lost touch with a ton of them over the years but this was the bees knees for me. When they first started coming out—the first Thor and Iron Man really drew me in but this movie made me what to get caught back up.

It almost seems like they went overboard with the humour at times but I honestly didn't care, it was fun and good.

I watched the Andre The Giant HBO doc the other night. It was a trip down memory lane and getting a lot of behind the scenes stuff that I never knew. If you were a fan of pro rasslin (Specifically the WWF) as a kid, definitely check it out. I thought it was great. Really loved the story about Hogan and WrestleMania 3, as I watched that match live with my Dad. He was absolutely blown away that Hogan won, and apparently, so was Hogan. Even showed the match plan that was written out by Hogan.
I had no idea that Andre was only 46 years old when he passed away, and a ton of other stuff that was revealed in this documentary that surprised me. Interesting stories from those in the business that knew him. Vince McMahon's part in the documentary was also interesting to me because Andre was one of those primarily responsible for Vince's rise to power. Also loved why Andre lived in NC. He probably would have liked Maine too for similar reasons.
When it was over I felt genuinely sorry for Andre. Had no idea how tough his life actually was, especially one crucial part that I never knew- which makes his early death that much more sad. You see these people who are larger than life stars and sometimes just figure they must have the world by the balls, but most of the time they do not.
If you've got an hour and a half to kill, you could waste it on far worse things than this doc.

Bill Simmons and Jason Hehir also co colaberated for the ESPN 30/30 on Michigan’s Fab Five. If you like it—check out the Bill Simmons podcast from last week. They sit down together and he they talk about swaying Vince into all of this because Vince loved Andre and was very reluctant to give up the reins on a doc of him.

Lol. Awesome doc. Andre was obviously the focal point, but pretty cool to see the other old school wrestlers from my era commenting. Even though the matches were staged, those guys were terrified of Andre. If he didn't liked you, dude will put a real hurting on you.

You Were Never Really Here - 8.5 of 10. Jaouquin Phoenix as a hard luck veteran with a real nasty case of PTSD, who makes ends meet doing brute work for high class clients whose kids run away/get kidnapped. Story is good and fucked up, editing and cinematography are excellent, and Phoenix is back to his all time best. Solid flick.
Rampage - 7 of 10. Dumb popcorn action flick, but it fully realizes this and doesn't try to be anything more. Lots of red meat for fans of the arcade or fans of giant monsters tearing up cities with solid CGI and an occasional one liner from the Rock.
A Quiet Place - 8 of 10. Pretty respectable attempt at being creative in the horror genre. Excellent creature creation and CGI, the novelty of hunting by sound, a blind monster and how people adapt to live in that world. The female lead is phenomenal and really makes the movie. The kids fucking suck and deserve to die, and are the weak point of the film. Fucking kids, man.

Yeah I saw it the other day and as someone who was a huge WWF fan at the exact time free he was a star I loved it. What was the "one crucial part you never knew"?

The fact that Andre chose to not have surgery that would have extended his life considerably. He was only 30 when he chose not to have that surgery, and as a result he only lived for 16 more years. If he had had the surgery, the rest of his organs would have stopped growing because the tumor would have been removed from his pituitary gland.

It's hard to believe he was only 46 when he passed. I am old enough to remember his match with Hogan and his time with Million Dollar Man.
Anyone remember the Wrestling Superstars arcade game where him and DiBiase were the "bosses"?

Ran into an acquaintance this weekdn who likes many of the same films and directors that I do. He suggested a film called brown bunny. Has Vincent gallo (a definite wierd guy who chooses often wierd scripts) who was in buffalo 66.
Anyone see this? Thoughts good or bad? Supposedly about a motorcycle racer who Has a long road trip to Cali to return to racing.

That's all I have though.

He said it sucked, Gallo is a commie and your friend's taste in films is embarrassing. He also said if you have the same taste as him then your dad must be a fag. Sorry I haven't seen it myself and can't help you.

I loved that game. Spent one entire vacation in SC as a kid playing that game. I found this emulator deal that hooks to your TV and has 2 arcade style controllers. In addition to Street Figther, Mortal Kombat, etc...it's got like 1000 games...but 2 of them are Superstars and Wrestlefest. Wrestlefest was the WWF game that had Legion Of Doom as the 'bosses'. I have to say that I am tempted. It's like $189 bucks delivered...

Wanted to like this movie. Bale tried. It just wasn't a good story.

I imagine the one you are looking at is for Super Nintendo and the graphics will be much better. I should have opted for that one.

Predator - 9.25 of 10.
The original really, really holds up to the test of time. Outside of a few hokey 80s sci fi conventions, this thing is phenomenal. Cinematography, character development, mise en scene, a shared experience with the characters, the teasing reveal of the predator, and about two dozen vintage one liners from Arnie, Jesse, and Co.

I'm pretty sure it's got all the capcom vs marvel games as well. I'm gonna have to look into it and see if Tekken is on there...

You guys are both off your fucking rockers.
I'm still Super SF champ of the last forum, since no one had ever stepped up and knocked me off.
You don't want none of my Balrog game. And I'm rusty. Haven't played in years. Doesn't matter. KO.

Shot Caller—Holy Shit is it good. It’s on Amazon Prime. Basically a wealthy banker goes to jail for killing his best friend/business partner when he ran a red light after having some drinks. Goes to jail for 7 year and becomes the leader of the skin heads in there.
