Actually pretty excited to see this fight. As much as I hate seeing these older guys go out the hard way, it’s always awesome to see a legend back in the ring.

What else we got as far as old school matches that Bellator can book?
Anything with Fedor? Rampage? Arona?

I wouldn't mind seeing Rampage vs Crocop Did you see Rampage's last fight? He's very slow and out of shape. I haven't watched Crocop's last fight, hell I'm not even sure when his last fight was. But I would bet on Crocop.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rampage vs Crocop Rampage was phoning it in the UFC towards the end. Now he doesn’t even try to hide it. He doesn’t train or take care of himself and is just trying to get paid. I think as disciplined as Cro Cop is, he would hurt Rampage badly at this point in their careers.

But I would bet on Crocop. Oh yeah. I was in attendance for it. Page keeps talking trash about not wanting to fight wrestlers. Well, here is his chance. He obviously isn''t going to get to 205 again, so let's see him fight some of the HW's. Thinking back, I don't know if there is a time in both of their careers where I would have ever bet on Page over CroCop.

I just read that CroCop is still under USADA suspension. Of course the Japanese don't care... And Bellator well, they don't either.

I dont think he's still suspended: "On November 25, Cro Cop was suspended for two years by USADA retroactive to November 9, 2015. On July 20, 2016 UFC announced that it has terminated the remaining bouts of Cro Cop's contract" According to that, his suspension ended back in November.

Fedor is fighting Mir sometime this year in the Bellator tourney. That fight would have been titty bombers about a decade ago.

He was suspended on the 25th but the suspension started on the 9th because that's when he confessed to USADA that he took HGH. So that's the start of the suspension. He then went on to fight like 5 times since in Japan. Since the UFC has a couple tract with USADA and they terminated CroCop's contract, I wonder if that matters. I don't really care, just something that popped up on Google this morning, Cokers comments regarding the suspension. Doubt he ever steps foot in the US yo fight so it's a moot point.

So how does a suspension with USADA work outside of the UFC? Do other promotions/athletic commissions have to uphold their rulings even though USADA is exclusive to the UFC?

I think any commission will uphold any suspension... And since the state they tested pisitive will also likely suspend him, most states won't grant a license.

Fight is in London. I'll look up the article that I read it in... I reread my post and said any commission.. But I should have said any state commission, US. Overseas commissions couldn't care less. Why his fight is in London and previous fights have been in Japan . Should have been more clear.

Gotcha.
Do you think Bellator gets any heat from SAC because of this?

Gotcha. Do you think Bellator gets any heat from SAC because of this? No. Bellator has a history of avoiding them by holding events on Indian (native american) territory. What kind of heat would a SAC apply anyway?

I don't know what they could do it's an interesting topic IMO. Wish The Doc would post more he's the one tied to an AC.
Don't they have to start off by reserving the date of the event with the commission?
