How does this guy go from being undefeated for almost 10 years to losing 5 of 7 fights?
Product of USADA?

It’s fairly similar to Aldo, if he continues to fight and lose. Same thing with Anderson, and chuck. You can only win so many times before newer, younger, hungrier fighters start catching on. I would say USADA as well, but I feel like even the guys beating the legends down are likely hurting from USADA as well.

Jose Aldo is still a very dangerous opponent who is still at the top of his division. Anderson and Chuck were approaching 40 and had taken a lot of damage when they started their decline. Barao has never been the same after his first loss to TJ. Not even close. He literally went from being an undefeated CHAMPION, to beating two cans in 4 years.

Renan Pegado. The ufc changed it to Baron for marketing lol.
Full victim of USADA. Not a doubt in my mind. If you guys recall, THE fight in that division was Cruz vs Pegado. Then TJ and Cody came along.

I think its a combo of USADA and the whoopings TJ put on him. Some guys don't recover from an ass whooping and think it changed him.

I don't think it was the ass whooping. He doesn't fold, he takes it like a champ. Even on Saturday night he wasn't going down without a fight.

Yes, but there’s a difference between not folding and taking a beating, and having an aggressive style. He’s still tough as shit, but maybe more timid to aggressively engage?

Normally I'd agree with that last part. But if you recall some of his fights, particularly against Faber, iirc, he seemed rather content to wait for his opponent. Up until Usada and the first tj fight, I thought he was going to be champ for a very long time. Cruz just couldn't get healthy unfortunately and Renan went through the rest of the division.

The same applies for most Brazilians.

The same applies for most Brazilians. No. There has never been a Brazilian champ, under 35 years old, who went from being undefeated to losing 5 of 7.
