Conor and max already fought Cormier gonna be the one to beat Ngannou. Calling it now. They're both completely different fighters now.

Man, what an amazing card and I still haven't watched most of the prelims. To be honest, I still don't really fully remember Aldo and Max's first fight but Holloway is really fucking good and I'd like to see him fight Connor but that's never going to happen. There's no way Connor decides to drop to 145lbs for that. I fucking hate agreeing with you. Conor starts fading after the second round.. Max picks up the pace. This new version of Max is a terrible match up for Conor. While I agree..... Lets not forget that Conor schooled Max in the first fight, KO'd Aldo with his first shot, and dropped Eddie 3 or 4 times before finishing Conor may not have the best cardio but his shots, power, and accuracy are far superior to these guys

Anything can happen, but if it goes past the second round my money is on Max.

I just don't think it will be worth it to Connor to fight him in the first place and I doubt he'll ever defend his featherweight title again.

It's hard to remember everything at this point.

One thing to consider, despite the weight class, Connor is way bigger than Max. I know max is a 'lanky' body type, but he's still the smaller dude when it comes down to it.
Doesn't matter though, we'll never see that fight. Who does "Blessed" actually fight next?

Conor won't be making 145 again so let's forget about max vs conor. Conor starched 145, made it his bitch and moved on.
Max is susceptible to takedowns. If Frankie was in there last night it would have likely been a different fight. With one leg, Conor was able to take down and control max, using pretty much size and strength alone.
I'm pretty sure Aldos knees are done. His head movement was clean but you can tell his legs don't have the power they used to. Could be his hips too.

I'd be rooting for Ngannou though cause it would be more interesting. So then would you take Jones over Ngannou?? I'd LOVE to see Ngannou knock him the fuck out.

I think Cormier is low eniugu and skilled enough to get the big guy down and hold him there until a sub or a timer hits.
No, I wouldn't take Jones over mgannou but it would be interesting. I would really like to see how Jones approaches a bigger guy in general. Last time it didn't work out too well for him.

LOL at DC beating Francis. DC can’t beat Jones. Francis has to cut weight to make 265. GTFO with that dumb shit.

Sterling , fortunately, turned out to be fine. Youth was served tonight. Ortega is an energetic young man. Fun to be around, even before his bout. As usual, the women's bout was nails. Only one dud fight out of 13, very good card.

Good night of fights that I just finished, PVR went down as I was watching late last night (after it was recorded).

Only one dud fight out of 13, very good card. It really was. I've been loving all the free cards this year. They seem to have outshined some of the actual ppv events. Cool that you got to be there for that one!

UFC building good momentum from last two pay-per-views and the free events this year. I'm glad they are starting to make sense of these divisions.

UFC building good momentum from last two pay-per-views and the free events this year. I'm glad they are starting to make sense of these divisions. They are? HW - Making some sense, but lacking talent. LHW - DC is a paper champ fighting a guy hardly anyone has heard of. This division is weaker than the women's divisions. MW - Old WW champ come back and beats the MW champ, completely based on PPV sales alone, then quits. Then, you have this interim champ sitting on the side. WTF? And no one wants to fight Yoel. WW - Woodley only wants money fights.. So I guess we don't see any title defenses. LW - Real champ refuses to fight. UFC allows this. I like Tony, but he's not the real champ. "Makes sense." Not. FW - This class is making some sense. BW - Champ going to fight the flyweight champ. Holds up two classes. Does not make sense. Whatever. Anyway, nice try.

yes, we are always seated by a door, and we alternate fights. At a stoppage, we go in first. That is controlled well in MMA. boxing/kickboxing, not always so smooth.

Are we just using this as the common fight thread now (except for PPVs)?
I guess so.
I'm interested to see RDA vs Lawler and totally forgot it was happening.
I actually like all these weight class-switch up fights as they really shake things up.

I think Perry is going to starch Ponzi. It's really about who hits who first, but Perry has that fire in him. If Ponzi doesn't avoid the early storm I think he's fucked. The new blood in this division is great. Till is reportedly ringside.
Glover, time to see if he's over the hill at this point as most of us suspect, or if he still has a lil something left.
RDA has a chance with the TD into the sub. He should be faster then Lawler. If he can avoid the bomb, he's got something.
Cannonier, looking forward to seeing him fight as well.

All divisions looking good. But, let's talk about that Bellator HW tourney that Bader is about to win.

I don't know much about Perry but from what I do know he seems like a HUGE dick, kind of like Colby Covington.
They aren't the same weight class are they?
Who would you guys want to win if they fought?
Double KO?

I'm rooting for him tonight and I'm rooting for him all the way to the belt There's a lot of good new blood in that division. Colby, Perry, Santiago, till, usuman.... the division finally has some good prospects.
