Man, where they hell does Cody go from here? He's still a good fighter. He just has to climb the ladder again. He can do it.

Judging by the comments in this post, glad I didn't waste my time watching this card.

I bet MM wishes he's have taken that TJ fight now I honestly don’t know if we will ever see him fight TJ. Dude genuinely doesn’t want this fight under any circumstances.

I didn't get to watch any fights last night. Just caught the MM/Cejudo fight while having breakfast. I have no idea what Rogan and Co. were talking about, MM pretty clearly won the first 3 rounds and should have won the fight.
I appreciated MM old school BJJ bottom game in the 2nd with the boxing the ears, covering the mouth, and throat attacks.
I thought Cejudo won the 4th pretty clearly. It was the most beat up MM has gotten in a round in a long time, so that was something.
Last round was the most fun brawling round I can remember in a MM fight. Could have gone either way, but shouldn't have mattered ultimately.
I bet this will put over MM more with fans.

If Cejudo goes up. TJ will box his ears off and is too evasive to get taken down. TJ by KO.
I thoughts Mighty Mouse won. Cejudo did get a few takedowns but he did very little with them other than not allowing MM to scramble UP, but he did almost zero damage and didn't even try to throw strikes. Getting a few takedowns secures too many wins in MMA. Solid card.

Didnt Cejudo end round 2 on top and controlled DJ for the last 90 seconds or so? That's pretty decisive in a round that was a toss up. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong?
How many fights does DJ have left on his contract? I thought he was going to retire last night for some reason.

Cejudo won.
Prelims were pretty good.
Both main events were excellent. Nice card. Probably should have went live.

Cejudo and MM was a toss up. Great fight and real class demonstrated by MM. Looking forward to the rematch.
I can't stand TJ or Cody, but the fight played out as I suspected. Cody might have a little more power than TJ, but TJ is better in every other area. I hate to say it, but he might be the P4P champ at the moment.

He was on top doing nothing but absorbing bottom blows in a round DJ was winning pretty handily before that. It's the age old problem with MMA judging, holding someone down for a minute somehow counts more than 3+ minutes of lighting someone up on the feet. TD followed by ground and pound or attempted submissions or even position changes is one thing, but literally holding on for dear life shouldn't mean much if anything.

I, too, thought MM won and that's coming from someone who has been waiting for him to lose.
I think what happened is Cejudo is the first guy to really do well with MM and he was gifted rounds from the judges that were slightly close due to his take-downs.
That said, at least it's shaken the division up some and brought some much needed life. It was a great fight and I am looking forward to the rematch.

As a jits guy, you're preaching to the choir, but that's the system. Part of that is on DJ too. That's pretty telling of how people saw the fight. Most gave round 2 to Cejudo.

Is that the Marvin Destin scoring system?

MM was on his bicycle and Cejudo was getting the better of the exchanges I felt. I didn't think it was a robbery at all. Cejudo may not have done much from the top, but it's not like he was just holding untl the ref stood them up.
I thought it was pretty clear MM lost that fight. Because he certainly didn't win it lol.

Vale, keep the trolling out of mma dog. Have a little respect for the sanctity of the mma section.

The fight was real close I thought. Neither really did enough to win. Cejudo had a few take downs but really didn't do much with them. He did land a couple shots. DJ had alot of leg kicks and landed a few shots, and had a few TD defenses (but thats not scored)
Neither fighter was ever close to being finished or hurt for that matter. I wasn't expecting Cejudo getting the win. But I thought the fight was close enough to not bitch about either getting the win. A draw would've been fine too

A draw would've been fine too I saw the result before the fight, but I would have scored draw probably if I hadn't. The best/most damaging attacks of the fight were DJs body kicks. It's kind of amazing to see how many long time mma fans watched that fight and thought Cejudo did anything at all worthy of getting a W. The 4th round "knockdown" was a decent punch, but DJ was on one leg trying to kick and just fell. It's also weird how we've just come to accept that nobody can judge a fight with any accuracy. Watching live just isn't a good barometer. Judges should be watching with the broadcast angles.
