Fedor Emelianenko
Chael Sonnen
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson
Frank Mir
Roy Nelson
Matt Mitrione
Muhammed 'King Mo' Lawal
and Light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader.
Mitrione's size could pay dividends against all of them. I'm leaning towards Mitrione as the favorite.

There really is no loser in this tournament. They can all walk away with their heads up because they are eligible for Social Security.

Bellator making huge moves and UFC can barely put a card together between fighters popping and injuries.

Always rooting for Fedor! Why didn't they include all HWs though? No Kongo, Lashley, Wren? I mean come on... Chael?

UFC can’t sell a card if it doesn’t have Conor or GSP on it. Bellator is kicking ass.

Tonight's card is better anything Bellator has done or will put on for the next year.

This card would've been great 5 or 10 years ago. Now not so much.
Are they going to try and do PPV's?

UFC = weak now. Bellator = ballin’. Dude, that UFC card last week was better than any Bellator event I've seen in over a year. Then again, I haven't seen Bellator lately. When is it even on?

Because EVERYBODY knows that "I suck but I'm scary looking" Langley and "Cup" Chiek Kongo are being saved from having to fight legit competition ever again!! I do wish bookies would give an over/under for eye pokes and nut shots for Kongos fights...... I suck at gambling, but that would be a no brainer!! Although I'm really hoping Meathead gets a shot at Kongo in Bellator!

Seriously though, what night is Bellator on?
Haven't seen it in a while, but very much doubt they have been putting on cards like last week's with 3 titles changing hands.

My cable company put Spike on a higher tiered package. The cable company can kiss my balls too, I'm not giving them another penny.

Matchups are set: mmajunkie.com/2017/11/bellator-heavyweight-grand-prix-opening-round-matchups-setIt's Rampage vs Sonnen and Fedor vs Mir with winners fighting on one side of the bracket and Mittrione vs Nelson and King Mo vs Bader on the other side. I've got Rampage over Sonnen and Mir over Fedor with Mir then beating Rampage and Nelson over Mittrione again in the rematch, and Bader over King Mo with Nelson then beating Bader and Mir beating Nelson in the finals. Not sure who I see winning the whole thing, probably either Mir or Mittrione. Actually, I'm kind of torn on who wins the rematch between Nelson and Mittrione.

You're lying if you say this isn't a sweet tournament. It's decent, but it's not amazing and the UFC could make a far better HW tournament with guys like Stipe, Ngannou, Overeem, Werdum, JDS, Browne, Barnett and Brock who are all better than most of the HWs in this tournament. It's just the fact that the UFC doesn't do 8 man tournaments. Bader and Mo aren't HWs anyway. Fedor should have signed with the UFC IMO.

The UFC blah blah blah. They could do this and they could do that. Haha, right. Well they don't do 8 man tournaments so that's the edge that Bellator has on them, but if you don't think the UFC HW division is better than Bellator's than I don't know what to say to you. The only reason any fighter in this tournament has any relevance, other than Fedor, is because of the UFC.

Just curious, when is the last time we saw a relevant HW fight in the UFC?

Just curious, when is the last time we saw a relevant HW fight in the UFC? What's your definition of relevant? Mine is a HW in top ten, so the last would be Werdum or Arlovski the other night. All of the top 10 HWs I think are in the UFC, so when is the last time a "relevant" HW fought in Bellator? Pretty much never and none of these guys is "relevant" in terms of being in the top 10 I don't think. Soon Ngannou will be fighting Overeem and both of those guys are in the top 5.

UFC can’t sell a card if it doesn’t have Conor or GSP on it. Bellator is kicking ass. Yeah, like that time they tried to make one of their “super cards” a ppv? What a fucking disaster that was. They couldn’t out sale a UFC PPV If MM was the headliner and Nunes was the undercard.
