I don’t know what the definition of small is but I have a safe full. I’m mainly into hunting rifles these days but I still have some AK’s and an AR from when I was into mag dumping. yeah, I remember you having a AK in your old avatar. A couple AR platforms, a few 1911's just a mixture of stuff. Off the top of my head I'd say about 20 in total. My favorite to shoot are my lever actions (30-30 and 45-70). I'm suppose to go to a gun show July 7. Maybe I'll get something new You have any high end 1911’s? I’ve always been die hard Glock but I always liked Dan Wesson 1911’s. $2,000 is steep for a heavy handgun that doesn’t hold many bullets.

I think I paid $1200 for it But I guess I paid about the same for the Kimber.

That's a beautiful pistol, Daywork.
On the topic, it looks like this guy had quite the personal vandetta for the newspaper. Years long running. He made a few tweets about them saying something about Trump, but it doesn't seem to be a major piece of the pie. I'm sure you guys will hear all about how it was though, and somehow turn this into some dirty liberal's fault.

It's actually a pretty ugly gun... Texans are sukers for Lone Star crap/Texas Edition stuff.. No one sells the Potatoe State Edition Sub Machine Gun, The New Hampshire Truck Edition... I would have lied and posted a $2000 gun picture off the Intabewz before I post something like that! Embarrassing actually...

They wrote a story about him how he was stalking people on facebook or something like that.

Sounds like your basic mental case deciding to kill people and then turn into a pussy and hide under the desk when anyone challenges him.
2 thing I am noticing...
Very few calls for gun control by the typical morons The liberal media is calling the shotgun a “long gun”, which I guess is their way of trying to tie it to a assault weapon. Never heard a shotgun called they by anyone who knows anything about guns.
Million dollar question... what law could be passed to stop this type of attack? As surely the activists will want to say gun control tightening is the answer.

Only way to make sure these people are okay is to give them a woman and force the woman to coalesce with laws! There is no other answer to solve the problem of loser white guy violence! JP and reddit already figured it out!

Many, many of todays youth sit in the house all day/night, play video games and surf the web. I have two nephews like this. One is 14 the other is 10. They literally dont know how to play outside. When I was their age I was outside constantly. I wasnt allowed to stay indoors if the weather was nice. I blame the parents for this trend. My youngest nephew, the 10 y/o, scares me actually. His whole life is isolation. He doesnt play, has no friends in or out of school, and he clings to his mother, if he's not gaming, like a tick on a hound dog. Even his teachers have told his parents that his lack of social skills isnt normal.......

I told her that I'm not doing the helicopter parent thing and I plan on letting him have plenty of autonomy. It's the "if it bleeds it leads" media narrative. It's led to a few generations now of not letting their kid leave their sight. I have friends who have 5-6+ year old kids and it amazes me that they don't let them go up the street to play or down to the creek or anything. That's what leads to the "pussy generations" and soft kids who turn into soft adults who can't handle life.

I agree with a lot of your post about the pussification of kids today, but 5 is an extremely vulnerable age to let go wondering off down the street. That’s an Amber Alert waiting to happen.

I had a conversation with my wife last night about being in the third grade and seeing Nightmare on Elm Street at a friend's birthday party. And then after the party was over me and my best friend Kyle had to ride our bikes in the dark 5 miles to get back to our neighborhood. It was one of the most thrilling bicycle rides in my life, because I was scared shittless that Freddy was going to jump out of every shadow.
And we used to do dumb kids stuff, like try to split the yellow line in the middle of the road for as long as we can.
There is absolutely zero chance that I would let my kids do that at that age in this world. And I think part of it is because the media has done such a good job of scaring parents.

Your view will change when you have kids, but that is way too young to allow them to be on their own without supervision. It's not always them that does the bad things, it's older kids and adults. I have a 7 year old and he is just getting to the age where I can trust him to know what's right and wrong, safely cross a non-busy street, and not talk to anyone weird... but I would never let him go out of sight without a parent in the vicinity. I don't think not letting kids play unparented creates pussies. I think it's allowing kids to stay inside too much, not forcing them to socialize and now allowing them to get hurt or dinged up playing that makes them pussies. I think letting your kids go off unsupervised is playing with fire at that age, especially if you have a girl. I am guessing a lot of these school shooters were very unsupervised growing up, otherwise the parents would have seen the warning signs.

I am a very firm believer in video games being one of the largest reasons for youth violence in this country Jack Thompson believed that too, as did Hillary. They both spent a lot of money (and time on Thompson's part) trying to prove that and every study actually showed video games decreased youth violence. Thompson went so far to fake a study showing they caused violence so he could win a court case, and lost his license to practice law as a result. Hillary while she was in the Senate was pushing the NY legislator to age-restrict games and one of the reasons it failed was because of all the studies showing an inverse relationship.

I generally agree with what has been said so far but at at a certain age kids need to be allowed to explore and go on adventures and I personally think 10 is a fine age as long as there are some boundaries. I mean as long as my parents new where I was going it wasnt an issue. I could ride my bike to Kevins or Troys or Carls houses to play and all three were 5-7 blocks away.I had friends and basic social skills at that age as well. My nephew doesnt, hes constantly on his mothers coattail. The kids gonna be a serial killer.....lol.

Yeah, fair enough kindergarten might be a little young, I'm not there yet. But my point still stands. You can't keep your kid under your thumb and coddled, and expect not to have serious issues down the line.

Go look at the fiasco that caused Jack Thompson because he was so adamant that they did and kept proving himself wrong at every turn

However just from a logical standpoint.... Kids sit in a dark room, staring at a screen, killing people in return for achievement/advancement, no repercussions for said violence, gain confidence from racking up kills, and feel empowerment from killing and causing the most violence. Just forget about some study where you don't know how it was outlined and for a minute think about how this could affect a kid who's parents/peers/girls ignore him and his brain is still developing.

Kyle I definitely see your point. However Ive been killing live animals since I was around 7, I'm sure you have too. I got praised for a good kill. I felt empowered. I had guns in the gun rack in the high school parking lot. Yet never once did I even think of storming my school and unloading on kids and teachers. I think its just bad parenting........

I have seen these games and no rational person thinking logically would conclude that it’s healthy for youth to play them

I would go as far to say that a military game could possibly be a “catalyst” for an emotionally troubled kid. As far as video games turning normal kids into killers is obviously absurd.
