Oops. I forgot that "Those statues of Confederate Generals and Slaveholders are -- Horrors! -- RACIST", because some dumbass BLM *Politically and Economically Disadvantaged, Oppressed, at-Risk, Inner-City Yoof* said so.
* Yep. You guessed it. It's a euphemism for Nigger.

More anti-constitution activists lining up to cheer on the trampling of our freedoms under the federal government. Shocker here. Citizens of the United States who are practicing their 1st amendment are not enemies of the United States. 'rioting and looting' has been very very localized and sparse...you don't need feds to enforce misdemeanors. You can try to white wash it and make it seem like you're not defending government overreach, but you are.
Shouldn't be shocking that the guy who hates America and freedom would want to keep statues up of actual defectors/enemies of the state.

You're the one that's just straight making up bullshit and then being mad at the pretend bullshit you envisioned. Constitution is being enforced. Defacing federal property is a felony and not accepted as peaceful protesting. You still have every right you had pre-covid/pre-protesting/pre-rioting. But you think you don't because....feds are arresting suspected felons? I do appreciate your willingness to boldly proclaim such ideologically iron clad beliefs that you don't follow yourself though. That along with your insistence that you're a constitutionalist who obviously has never read the Constitution makes you such easy cannon fodder. You can't actually be this dumb. You have to be pretending just to try and keep conversation going. I either appreciate the effort or I'm tremendously embarrassed for you.

You're bluffing about knowing what you are talking about when it comes to the constitution. There is nothing in the constitution granting the federal government any power to police crime. And since that's the case, the 10th amendment clearly grants that power solely to the states.
You can keep trying to talk your way into these being crimes of terrorism, but they aren't. If I go spray paint the federal courthouse in KC, I'm going to Missouri district court to face charges.
It's the safest time to be alive in human history and you're so scared of your own shadow that you want more policing and less freedom.

"As amended on September 13, 1994, if the damage exceeds $100, the defendant is subject to a fine of up to $250,000, ten years imprisonment, or both." (Felony penalties.) www.justice.gov/archives/jm/criminal-resource-manual-1666-destruction-government-property-18-usc-1361Federal charges = federal court. Federal warrants = federal agents do the arresting. Felony to terrorism is a jump you made. You've never read The Constitution, so quit trying to tell us what is or isn't in it. No one cares that they're doing their jobs except you. And if BLM broke into your trailer park, you'd be wishing the feds would come save you.

You aren't getting arrested by the fbi or the marshals if you have that charge on a "normal" day. I might be wrong and it is federal charges, but the arresting state officers are definitely going to identify themselves, they are definitely going to mirandize the suspect, and aren't going to engage in chemical warfare on the hundreds of witnesses who are doing nothing illegal.
You're jumping through hoops to defend something that is indefensible to any generation of Americans prior to the current one.

You may be arrested by local if they catch you doing it. But you'll be remanded to the feds for processing.
You keep harping on elements of this situation that aren't true. And I know that it is because you've been lead by the media. How do I know this? Because Tim pool made a video yesterday about those exact issues that you're yapping about. And he shut them down completely.
I'd like to thank you for doubling my uses for Tim Pool. Because before I just used him to regurgitate news at me in a curated fashion. But lately he's been making videos that shut down every point you make. It's too bad that you think you're too cool to watch somebody who would straighten your stupid ass out in a matter of days.

Here we go again with the "watch this guy to get your news, because he'll tell you how ALL the other news except his is fake" YouTube shit again.
The reason I'm not interested in the flavor of the week 'media debunker' is the same as it's always been. I don't watch TV news. Ever. At all. Haven't in more than a decade. I don't watch YouTube news, never have. It's irrelevant to me to hear someone telling me their interpretation of something I didn't see in the first place.
I understand the general public's fascination with someone else feeding them their opinions and that being their identity. I'm glad you guys are so prideful of your chosen identities and are hell bent on spreading the word. Call me pessimistic, but I've never had good luck with people prosthelytizing to me.

Oh. So you were being disinenguous when you said you watch live streams of major events as they occur? Shocking indeed.
Congrats on finally admitting that you aren't properly informed though. Unwitting steps in the right direction are better than none at all.

Hey. I have an idea. Why don't you prove me wrong Andrew? Because you seem to keep on implying that you have these sources that you rely on. But you never seem to tell us what they are. For those of us who want to stop having to rely on YouTube and flavors of the week to tell us what's going on in the world, how exactly do you go about doing that? What is this magical site that allows you to live stream major events as they happen? I bet its www.imaginarynewssite.com

The thing about Tim's Jew Tube videos is he is reading different news articles digging for the facts, the second video, the first article he pulls is a CNN article. He just tries to dig for the truth.
He considers himself a social liberal and even supported Bernie in 2016... I know the way Tony comes across makes you not want to watch it or give it the time of day... But he really does seem like he wants to get to the truth of it all.

Dude, I don't doubt the guy's credentials. I'm sure he's great. But I don't need someone else to do that for me. That's my whole point. Social media + Reuters is all you need to get every angle there is to current events. There's libraries of videos of things like the Portland protests unfolding in real time from small journalists and random people alike and not just chopped up to make a point someone set out to make. Every video with some dude talking at you and playing clips is an opinion piece. Maybe they are 'getting to the facts' in their mind, but they are doing it with an opinion already made up. I started a philosophical debate about the merits of federal agents doing 'crowd control' in US cities on American citizens and it morphed into 'Tim Pool good vs Tim Pool bad' in people's minds. What I was talking about can't be argued with someone else's opinion. Either you are for or against it.

Well in some cases cities have asked Trump for help. I think some politicians in certain cities are letting it get out of hand and not letting their police force intervine to hurt Trump's chances at winning. The police themselves are also asking for help. That's what I've gotten out of the situation

But in Portland the mayor and governor have both explicitly asked them to leave and I know KC mayor has said the same. It's all political theater, but that's what protests are supposed to be. Federal agents actively suppressing protests aren't just political theater, even though it's being treated that way to white wash it. The argument seems to be 'they are arresting people with federal warrants'. There is hours of video footage of federal police doing crowd control, firing munitions into crowds, etc. That's not the marshals making an arrest.

So I take it you have a negative opinion of Lincoln 1)when attempting to effect an arrest on people within a crowd that are acting to thwart your efforts, crowd control methods are utterly necessary 2) there are also hours of video footage of your noble protestors committing all manner of crime, federal and state. 3) when 4 people distract security while their buddy steals, all 5 are guilty of shoplifting. Each of the “peaceful” protestors are performing the same function for the arsonists 4) that you describe them as “protests” demonstrates what a sucker you are.

What are some of your solutions then? Curfew that is actually enforced by local authorities at a time when the good protesters can go home to bed? Federal operations limited to federal property or by request of local authorities? Federal operation can or cannot extend beyond the property only for direct threats on Federal property? Just guessing at some common ground points here. Could be off the mark on that though.

Just guessing at some common ground points here. Could be off the mark on that though. The first and foremost is the limitations of federal ops. Zero use of federal officers on city streets. The whole barricading inside of fences around the courthouse seems ridiculous to me, but it apparently makes the rest of the population happy so whatever. The whole obsession with property being more valuable than freedoms and rights is baffling to me. But I America was headlong for serfdom prior to my life and will be further down the road by the time I die. The vast majority of all property in the US isn't owned by any citizens, it's owned by banks and leased to citizens until they can't pay for it anymore and then it's stolen back. The obsession with private property being the most valuable thing in America is at odds with its founding principles, in my opinion. But even accepting the 'private property is god' dogma, it's not the feds place to protect it. It's local authorities. It should start there and work its way up, just like the constitution outlines.

Is that a no on local authorities enforcing a curfew prior to 3am chaos? I guess I didn't see that part. I haven't really had gripes about local law enforcement. Firing gas at american citizens is fucked up no matter who does it, but at least it's not explicitly forbidden by the founding document of the nation.

Reuters is a legit source. But social media? C'mon. That's a bigger source of misinformation than any far leaning news source.
Social media is where find the real insanity. From the hilarious adrenochrome bullshit to Bill Gates sterilizing the population of Africa.
But to avoid hypocrisy I will concede that I'm FB friends with Tim Pool. As TOIAP tapioca said, he digs for truth. I find his consolidation and condensing of the news helpful given the pace of the news cycle.
And he's more reliable than my FB friends with KKK souvenirs in their barns.
I find it more informative than video snippets that leave way too much to speculation.
It also helped me recognize the difference between the political operatives throwing fire bombs at midnight and the indoctrinated teenagers marching at noon.
Different approaches need to be taken with the separate groups and Timmah has made it clear to me that they are.

Reuters is a legit source. But social media? C'mon. That's a bigger source of misinformation than any far leaning news source. replac “misinformation” with “information” and your statement is equally true. Social media has it all, and it is up to the user to make sense of it. Social media is the only thing that unraveled many hoaxes that, if not for social media, we may all still buy. Social media is where I was introduced to great minds like Jordan Peterson, Victor Davis Hanson, Tony Caiazzo, and a bevy of others. I very much anguish the loss of user comments on Yahoo news. As I said, I was surprised it took them so long, because the comments section totally and completely foiled their every attempted lie. A recent example (that seems long ago now) sticks out on Ahmad Arbery. I learned all the details that took a month to float to the surface instantly. Day one. Before even the “fringe” (read: honest, like Molyneux) news sites Had it. First news article I clicked on -Not in the article, which was all lies, but in the comments. And it’s like that for every news story. Ahmad is a good example because everyone knows the story, but the point is that user comments was a large part of my news consumption, and it was a very good way to stay informed, unless you’re stupid. Yes, the dumbest of the dumb get to comment, but so do the smartest. Social media rocks.

Garth is right for a change. Smart use of social media takes conscientious use to not be hoodwinked by stupid shit. I quit Facebook because it's for the olds, but even on there you can find good information.
If you're just mindlessly scrolling, or worse yet actively seeking out 'information' to support an opinion, you're probably going to end up a victim of some dumb shit fake story that goes around every week or two. But if you are experienced with it and use it to seek out differing viewpoints, it's the best tool available for getting information in as close to real time as possible.
I didn't address this earlier about the KKK point Garth made. I have zero doubt that there were chapters who acted nobly for the time. But you're clearly being disingenuous, because there's a big difference between society deciding your group sucks and forming activist groups to protest you into oblivion and the federal government sending in paramilitary police forces to stamp them out by force.
Don't be dumb, make valid points to disagree with me.

Ok. So you get your "news" from social media (the origin point of echo chambers) but you quit FB because you still think you're young.
You bash YouTube.
So that leaves Instagram? Snapchat? TikTok?
Or...and this would explain why so many people accuse you of leftist behavior...Twitter. The Left Wing Dominated Echo Chamber is your "news" source.
It certainly makes the source of the incongruent nature of your claimed political position and position on the riots more obvious though.
Social media is not a valid news source.
