Barboza said he signed to fight Khabib on NYE.

Tony is the most logical fight, probably the most compelling too. Nate trilogy is great too but I'd like to see both coming off an MMA win first.
Khbib is a nightmare matchup for Conor but hasnt proven able to stay healthy for such a buildup that a fight with Conor deserves.
Until Conor defends a few times, I have zero desire to see him in the boxing world again. Yeah, you did great, but zero MMA defenses? Lots of fighters held the title, but the greats are defined by how they defend it, so I wanna see that.
Tony is my vote.

I want him to fight Tony C, so Connor can get subbed and Tony become famous

OP did a terrible job clarifying the question. "Who should he fight" and "Who do you want to see him fight next" are TWO TOTALLY different questions.
Who should he fight next? - Paulie Who do I want to see him fight next? - Tony, GSP, Nate, Khabib - in that order.

I would like him to fight Tony next. Also think that is who he should be fighting next.
I would probably bet on Tony winning. Just seems the more they hype Connor up, the more I think he'll lose.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Chris Weidman getting knocked out again.

Honestly, if I was him, I'd retire.
Too much to lose, too little to gain.
Doesn't need money, no easy fights out there, and the only fight that would bring good money would be Paulie.

Honestly, if I was him, I'd retire. Too much to lose, too little to gain. I agree, and he can now parlay his fame into acting gigs that pay more than fighting, have zero health risks except STDs from all the female co stars, and the best part is that he will win every fight by KO, steroids are perfectly allowed, no weight cutting, and even though each KO he scores against stuntmen is fake, it will still increase his streeet cred because people are stupid. Unless his acting ability is poorer than 99% of humans, it’s a slam dunk. I guarantee his acting is at least as good as JCVD out of the gate

He doesn't need money? Same could be said for tons of athletes that risk a lot more bodily injury than Conor (most NFL players, for example).
He has 10+ million sitting on the table to fight Tony (or anyone) Probably 20-25 million for another fight with Nate 20+ million for a fight with GSP
He's not walking away from paydays. I think we see him fight a few more times and hopefully the next one is against Tony.

He would be insane to even think of retiring or going into acting. He's just getting started when it comes down to it.
I don't expect him to walk away anytime soon. I expect to see him fighting for at least the next 5 years.
Its easy to say retire after a 10 mil payday or whatever. Especially when that kind of money is a life changer for any of us. But he has a chance to create something far bigger and better for himself.
