There was some amazing CGI in a movie I saw not too long ago. But it was more sci-fi and I don't really have much to say about it.
No Garden of Words?
No Prince of Egypt?

So many anime I haven't seen since most of it isn't my kinda thing, so I have no idea what I think of the list, but seems very good.
I think on a personal list though I'd have Aladdin and Fantasia. Prince of Egypt even if you don't like it was a game changer.

I'm an anime fan and it looks like pretty solid list. But no Lion King? It was one of the 1st 2d animation that incorporated cgi in a big way.

Fuck. I agree with Angelo. I'd probably toss Fantasia on that list. Aladdin as well, but that's just personal taste.
Is a scanner darkly considered an animated flick?

Fantasia is an awesome film nostalgically, but when's the last time you really sat down and watched it? Mickey interacting with the orchestra is awful and constant and goes on way, way, way too long. The individual scenes are tremendous, but the film as a whole suffers from the poor editing and style choices skipping back and forth from the conductor's shadow to the animation.
Lots of classic Disney animation is very good, top 30, top 40 stuff, I just can't bump any of these for Lion King or Aladdin or Prince of Egypt, which is the best of the three. The Pixar stuff is better, more adult, more complex and some of their best work has made the list. Trolls is really good, so is Moana. Those would both be suuuuuuper close to a top 25 spot. The other classic animation that I struggled with is Heavy Metal, which has a similar format at Fantasia, a series of stories with incorporation of musical themes, but skips out on the agonizing, tedious narration and also has a much more graphic, adult theme. Heavy Metal would be 26 maybe.

I think re-edited and presented purely as interpretive animation set to classical music in five acts with no narrative interludes it's a really solid film. But as-is, it's a chore to watch.

Good topic.
I have seen only 1, 3, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 22, and 24 on this list. All deserve inclusion.
As mentioned above, heavy metal (when kept in the context of its date of release) could be included as well.
No attack on titan though ? Having not seen that many anime, I'd put it up there. But I don't have enough of a sample size to weigh it agaisnt some of those that You have listed.
One kinda hidden gem that I really liked was an Israeli animated film called waltz with bashir. About an Israeli infantry 19 year old and the ptsd effects of his time in the early 80s Lebanese conflict.
Beavis and butthead do America was good. I'd agree not top25. But it's a top 50? For me anyway.
And not truly animated , but team America world police deserves at least some special mention. It remains a source of some of my hardest longest laughing spells ever. "Listen up, actor.... if u screw this up..... I'm gonna rip your balls off... and stuff 'em up yer ass!!!! So that every time you shit... you're gonna get shit all over your balls!....".

Was there an attack on titan ova/movie? Or are you talking about the series? Because art and animation wise, i find the series lacking.

It was the series I referenced. I liked the series a lot. Thread OP actually mentioned it a year or so ago; that's what got me on to it. I really liked it; and like I said , I don't do too much anime.
I especially liked the political back story. How the society decided who should take shelter and residence in what circle of the city. Enjoyed seeing the moral questions about what good is a secure inner city if the entire city/ state is endangered.
I found the little aspects of quasi population control with large segments of population going to certain death on expeditions and the mixed benefit of those moves. Enjoyed the notions about the dismissal of what a real threat can represent after many years of relative lack of threat.
All of that ; combined with the deeper hidden questions of "what is a monster ". And "what is human" was quite interesting.

tried to get into anime about 20 years ago. didn't last. i did see and like ghost in the shell though. so really i can only comment on the non-anime stuff. i love that you have incredibles on there. imo, the most underrated pixar movie and for the life of me i never understood why they didn't do a sequel. i know they are making one now many years later, but i look at the other ones they've done sequels of (specifically cars and nemo) and those weren't nearly the movie that incredibles was. imo i do think toy story was the best pixar movie.
of the pixar stuff that i've seen, my top 5 would be:
1) Toy Story 2) Incredibles 3) Monsters Inc. 4) Up 5) Finding Nemo
struggled to go to 5. not a huge fan of nemo. haven't seen wall-e and not a huge cars fan.

Pixar made a great film in the Incredibles, problem was it's hard for a merchandise tie-in. Look at Cars. They're obviously made to sell toys and they kept making sequels and offshoot(planes). Movie is just a 90 min commercial for kids to annoy their parents to buy them stuff.
