I think Nate is over estimating how badly people want to see a third fight. No way he gets 20 Million.

LMAO. He might as well stay retired, no way does he get that much.
I just googled it. His coach is the one that said it. He thinks Nate should get 20 to 30 mil easy.

LOL yeah, I wouldn't be shocked if he asked for that much. Then complain that he's not making any money.
So his manager wants him to get paid more then Canelo and GGG. I was just reading that Canelo will make 15 to 25 mil (depending on PPV numbers) and GGG will make 10 to 15.

While that amount is silly, it is the biggest fight the UFC can possibly put on right now by a long shot

The UFC is hurting. They shouldn't fuck around with one of their biggest PPV sellers.

I read his trainer said 30 million usd. Negotiating tactics obviously. They would negotiate to 8-10 million.

Nate will settle for $2 million. No fucking way. That was his disclosed pay for the rematch not counting his ppv share. Conor is bigger now and has a questionable victory against nate. The build-up will be epic.

Is Nate that much of a draw on his own? Yes he had good numbers when he fought Conor twice. But what if he isn't fighting Conor?

Nate shouldn't get the match because turned down the interim title against Tony. At least not yet. That was his sure way at Conor for title unification. Conor said he wants Khabib Russia. Wouldn't surprise me if they let him do that while having an interim title. Just wants to sit around and only fight Conor? What other fighter has fought the exact same fighter three times in a row?

I'm tired as shit of the Diaz brothers asking for mega bucks for MMA fights.
Has anyone EVER gotten paid 20 million for an MMA fight?
I don't think so right?
What's the most any UFC fighter ever got paid, in total including win bonus, finish bonus, etc, for a fight?
And if no fighter was ever given that much than Diaz should shut the fuck up.
Seriously, he's very exciting, he's a top guy, I love watching him fight, but he's not the champ or even #2 in his division, he never was, he's not a P4P, I don't know what makes him think he's entitled to that.
He also seems so much more interested in money than title fights which confuses me.
Money comes with holding the title, so just earn yourself a title shot first.
He still fights at 170lbs right?
So work your way towards a fight with Woodley, or drop to 155lbs and try for a rematch with Conor there, or to fight Khabib, Ferguson, etc.

Toehold is probably bothered for good reason. Last time Nate wanted 10 million, didn't he? Now because Conor is more valuable, Nate wants more? Conor beat Eddie and boxed Floyd, he is earning his pay, Nate just wants to benifit from Conor's work. Nate wants a bigger paycheck, he should be fighting.

I think Nate just knows there's not a bigger fight for Conor in the UFC.
I am not even sure GSP vs Conor would be as big as Conor vs Nate III.
I do agree with you guys about the fact that Nate is trying to ride Conors success.
If I am Conor, I want the Nate fight cause it pays the most and it's easier than Khabib, Lee, or Ferguson. Or maybe he wants the Paulie fight?
..and let's be real here. Conor will get what Conor wants moving forward.

I get that he's riding Conor's success, and asking way too much, but why the fuck should anyone here be bothered by what Nate demands? He knows he ain't getting 20 mil, but is only trying to maximize his gain..

I get that he's riding Conor's success, and asking way too much, but why the fuck should anyone here be bothered by what Nate demands? He knows he ain't getting 20 mil, but is only trying to maximize his gain.. I guess probably cause he always acts like such an asshole lol. The Diaz brothers have always been gigantic assholes IMO. That's also one of the reasons that people like them, because they are exciting and talk shit but back it up, but honestly, I still don't care for the shit talk, and not just not from them but from anyone. I'm really only very rarely more interested in a fight because of shit talk between fighters. I realize maybe even the majority of fight fans will tune in more if there's bad blood, but I just don't care. Nate's fun to watch cause he's exciting and he finishes fights, but the more times he talks shit and gives people the finger the more I want to see him lose. And the other real reason is because I think he and his brother both have a sense of entitlement. Both of them have always had this idea that sort of came out of nowhere that they are not just top fighters amongst other top fighters, but that somehow they are deserving of more being given to them than everyone else, regardless of ranking and regardless of anything else. Does anyone here NOT think Nate is 100% convinced that he's so amazing in every way that he deserves to be the highest paid MMA fighter of all time? OF COURSE he does and there's no reason for it. Both Diaz brothers have always thought that everything they touched should turn to gold and it's annoying. Most fighters don't act that way...MOST at least...

I see the annoyance of the entitlement, but at the end of the day the Diaz bros have earned a LOT more money for themselves by their talking and antics. Not nearly at the same level as Conor, but same concept. People can look at Conor as entitled as well, but at the end of the day, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and they are doing things right.

Not nearly at the same level as Conor, but same concept. People can look at Conor as entitled as well, but at the end of the day, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and they are doing things right. Ok, I can understand that point, but the difference to me is that I feel like with people like Conor and Sonnen who have pulled this off and gotten more money and fights by shit talking that with them it is very "tongue in cheek". You can see with Conor that he's far from 100% serious about a lot of the shit that he talks and that he kind of does it "with love", even though he totally means to piss people off and then kick their asses, you can still imagine him probably laughing about it with his opponent after the fight over a beer or two and the same goes for Chael (except not with Wanderlei I don't think, but most of his other opponents probably). I do NOT think it's that way with the Diaz brothers. Yes, they shit talk to make money but they also fucking hate EVERYONE lol, like literally they probably hate 99.9% of the world who aren't their best friends and training partners. Ever see that old photo of them as kids when they are really young and already have pissed off expressions? That's what I don't get with them. I mean I'm guessing they had a tough upbringing and that Stockton is a rough place but lots of fighters come from rough places and don't act that way. The Diaz brothers don't only talk shit to make money, they talk shit because they fucking hate you with a passion, and because they 110% believe they are better than you and deserve more opportunities than you do simply because they are so fucking great, and if you have anything to say about it then you've got a middle finger and a flurry of punches coming your way lol. It's possible to do what they do and make money, but both of the Diaz brothers are just hateful and thats in their personalities. They will accomplish as much as they want, and when they are old men they will still be grumpy as fuck, smoking blunts on their porches at 80 years old and yelling at the neighbors to come fight them hahhaha. In part it is amusing, but in reality, I can't stand people like that. But then again, they don't care you hate them, in fact, they WANT you to hate them, so yeah, there's some charm in just straight up not giving a fuck what anyone thinks. It's the part where they GENUINELY think they deserve MORE than everyone else that gets me. I don't think Conor thinks he deserves more, but he knows he can make it happen with his talk and by backing it up, and then he'll get what he wants. The Diaz brothers came out of their mom's womb thinking they were owed 20 million dollars to fight without ever throwing a single punch LOL. That's the difference I see.

LOL I had an employee tell me once that the squeakly wheel gets the grease once. I told him the squeakly wheel also gets replaced. LMAO. I use that saying too. Or open mouths get fed. It pretty much means if you want something speak up. Doesn't mean you're getting what you asked for but no one can read your mind.

Did you guys watch the UFC card last night? Yea, me either. Did you even know there was one? Yea, me either. NGAF anymore. UFC doesn't even give a fuck. Nate knows this. Nate knows his fight is worth more. Fights that make sense have been replaced with fights that make cents.

Yes, I lost money on that fight.
Rogan was talking about the Nate vs Conor 3 fight. He says the 3rd fight will bring in 1.5 mil view. Conor vs anyone brings in over 1 mil. So it would make sense for the UFC to have Conor fight almost anyone else for a couple hundred thousand less views and pay the person Conor fights millions less. The UFC would make more money for Conor to fight anyone else.

The main card was at 3pm eastern time. It was in Holland and on fight pass. Wasn't meant to be this huge card. The fights were pretty good. Had Struve but once the eye pokes started I rooted for Volkov. Reneau vs Bernardo was also a good fight.
Nate is scared to fight someone else on a PPV and find out he's not on the level he think he is. As far as draw.

He must really dislike the Diaz Brothers Yeah, well we all know no one is really a pure BJJ fighter anymore, but I dislike bullies more than I like BJJ guys. I can't stand it when anyone tries to intentionally piss people off, and I've never liked the Diaz brothers and have always rooted against them. They are exciting as hell though, so the sport is better off with them, but you'd think Diaz was a former or current champ from the way he talks.

They are exciting as hell though, so the sport is better off with them, but you'd think Diaz was a former or current champ from the way he talks. I have always had a sinister thing for heels and shit talkers. From fake wrestling as a kid, to some of the boxing shit talkers, to the disliked mma fighters like Hughes during his GSP rivalry days, Sonnen, Tito, the Diaz Brothers, etc. Its a lot of fun to see people losing their shit by taking their shit talking to heart. 'Till this day, I think that I have never acknowledged respecting GSP. It was just a lot more fun to see guys like Jasper get really offended....like honor offended when a fighter or myself talked shit about GSP. So with that in mind, the Diaz Brothers have always been favorites of mine. Purely on their heel/shit talking persona. But I have to admit, its no fun if all they do is shit talk but can't back it up. Sonnen is a great example.
