For 2020, it ranks fifth out of ten. So, four better than it, five below it. It was behind:
UFC 251 - 3 title fights UFC 246 - Conor v. Cowboy UFC 253 - 2 title fights UFC 249 - 2 title fights.
And 253 and 249 only had 25k more than UFC 254. Plus, all four of those were the normal time, not mid afternoon competing against college football. In fact, other than 253, weren't the rest of those PPVs that happened when basically no other sports were available to watch?

I can get behind that. In other MMA news, Mousassi beat Lima last night for the Bellator MW title. Anyone watch it? Me either.

Not sure who I am taking in Hall vs. Anderson. I think it will be a fun fight though. I’ll make my guaranteed to be wrong prediction before the fight happens so everyone can place their bets.

All logic points to Hall winning tonight. I can’t remember the last time Anderson even fought. That considered along with his age should give Hall the edge (although Hall is difficult to predict).
Screw logic. Anderson with a samurai finish tonight!
Throw it all on Anderson folks!

But I'd feel a lot better if he just went ahead and retired. They should rebook Uriah against Yoel before Yoel turns 50. That would be interesting. Bryce Mitchell was impressive. Fili is a really good fighter and Bryce had moments where he dominated. I saw someone suggest Bryce fight Ryan Hall next. That would be nuts. Nobody ranked wants to fight Ryan Hall.

I thought Anderson looked decent the first couple rounds, but I also felt Hall was holding back a bit during those rounds. Once he opened up, it was only a matter of time until a glancing blow KO’ed Anderson. I hope Anderson retires, but I have a feeling he still wants to fight, not in the UFC though. I have no idea if he is thinking Bellator (hope not), or maybe Asia? Who knows? Thug Nasty (terrible name) looked very good against Fili. I think the UFC want to make him a name, so I’m not sure if fighting Hall is a good idea. It had to be a step up from Fili, so it likely will be a decent fighter.

We got Glover vs. Santos tonight. I was gonna take Glover by grinding Santos down, but I’ve decided that the better fighter is going to win so Santos takes this one.
I wouldn’t tell you to throw your life savings on Santos, but don’t be afraid to take a significant portion of them out and put it on Santos.

Hopefully you didn’t put all your life savings on this one! Glover is one tough dude. Not the most talented fighter but you can never count him out. Toehold must be extremely happy today.

Just watched that fight. Jon Jones struggled terribly against Santos, but Glover basically finished him twice in one fight? I think JBJ just isn't the same fighter that crushed everyone early in his career.
That Raoni Barcelos v. Khalid Taha fight was a ton of fun.

However, it could also be that Santos isn’t the same fighter. He had a pretty nasty injury and this was his first fight in quite some time. Or....Toehold could chime in and tell ya how great Glover is and that he used to train with him.

I thought the surgery could take some toll on Santos but Santos landed some good shots and had an opportunity to put Glover away a couple of times... Great fight by Glover definitely deserves consideration for a title fight.

Paul Felder steps in last minute to fight RDA tomorrow night. Felder is only a slight underdog, despite it being a five-round fight and him having something like 5 days notice. He claims he was training for a triathlon so he's in good shape (isn't that the same story Diaz told before McGregor 1?).
Who you got?
I like Paul a lot and this takes guts but I've gotta go RDA.

This is a real tough fight for me to choose a winner. How is RDA going to find the weight cut from moving back down to 155 from 170? Obviously, Felder taking this fight on 5 days notice has to have an effect as well, especially with it being a 5 rounder. Smart money is obviously on former champ RDA, but when have I ever been known to follow the safe choice? I’m going to go with Felder shocking the world in a tight decision!

Pretty fun fight that went the way most of us (not me) expected. RDA was just a little bit better everywhere and Felder’s best chance was to land some spinning shit.
By the way, how did one judge score it 48-47 Felder? Crazy.

We have a PPV this weekend gents!
Anyone excited for the card? Didn’t think so.
It would be a decent free card but I can’t imagine too many people shelling out for Figuerido and Valentina headlining the card.
As for my picks, I think it’s pretty safe to pick the champs to both win. Parlay that into a goldmine everyone!

Im watching a bootleg. Entertaining card.
My favorite moment so far was a video package/segment about Marc Rattner; they are inducting him into the HOF.
They spoke about how instrumental he was in getting mma sanctioned in states like NY. Man, that brought back so many memories.
Remember how we used to get so excited here because they sanctioned the sport in NJ or "x" state.... And then we went nuts when they finally sanctioned in NY. That first card at MSG, we talked about it for weeks. We felt like "MMA has finally arrived/crossed over!"
Today people take that for granted. Some of my friends that watch a PPV here and there had no clue MMA was banned in places like NY not that long ago.
We here in the forum went through it man. We lived that moment. True OG's/hardcore fans. Fuck the n00bs. Lol.

Didn't watch. Had little interest. Like Schevchenko a lot, but she was like a 16-1 fav in that fight. That's brutal. Not sure how they find any legit challengers at 125 for her. Does she just keep moving up to 135 occasionally to try her hand at Nunes over and over?
I guess I need to start paying attention to Figuerido.

Figuerido vs Moreno Dec 12 that was a fast turnaround and should be a better title fight than last nights.
I was really looking forward to the Royval fight. Sucks he got injured..

Damn main event for tomorrow canceled... I always look forward to a Black Beast fight...
Is Smith getting a feeding or is his time already up? Odds pretty close...
Thag January card is going to be something! Hope at least the three main fights can keep it together and not get any cancelations.

She’s definitely tough, but even some of her wins were close fights from memory.

Nice call on Dos Santos!
Did anyone see the Gordon vs. Mudaerji? I thought the finish was a little suspect. Gordon took two mediocre shots and then seemed to dive to the canvas. I can’t see it being a work, but it looked strange.
Anyone notice it?

I’m surprised nothing has been made of Gordon’s strange loss. I haven’t heard any outlet mention it. I guess it being on the prelims on a very mediocre card didn’t help, but it could have been a talking point.

Damn, the fight I was most looking forward to is off. Edwards has Covid and his fight with Chimaev is done.
This really sucks.
And for all those wanting to know, I was picking Edwards to get the win!
