Nick Diaz is apparently planning on fighting in 2021 at WW.
A fight with Jorge makes sense but he likely won’t want to step on Nate’s toes.

They are already talking about the BMF rematch, Jorge would be a huge favorite, some already released the odds, probably setting up a fight with Nick down the line.

I've been a big Nick Diaz fan since forever, but... he'd get mauled by Jorge. Or anyone else in the top 10 at 170. He hasn't had a win since 2011. The last time he looked good in a fight was his fight with Condit, in 2012.
I will be absolutely shocked if he gets two more UFC wins in his career. I suspect the game has passed him by.
Really hope I'm wrong, though. Would love to see him shock the world and beat Conor or something crazy like that.

The rematch with Nate then the fight with Nick. For him not winning a fight since forever, he still carries a big name surprisingly... He has a good chin and great cardio so that should carry him through any fight... I hope he still does. Conor makes sence but I think Nate gets the trilogy first but at the rate, Nate, Conor and Nick fight, it'll be 2024 before all fights are set up and ready to go

I think Jorge struck lightning in a few fights and overachieved. I wouldn’t call him a journeyman like Colby, but if Jorge fights Edwards I would pick Edwards. I think Nick would beat Conor. Conor would hit him with everything in the first two rounds and then likely fade.

It'd be harder to make a list of top fighters at 155 and especially 170 that would not beat McNugget.

Diaz, Diaz, Jorge, Wonderboy, Ferguson, Gaethje, Khabib, Usman, Burns, Edwards, studs I'm not even thinking of, would all be favored to win.
Guys who wouldn't be favored: Diego Sanchez, Nick Nolte, Hermes Franca, Renato Verissimo, Matt Serra (would be favored at heavyweight)

It's crazy to me how people underestimate Conor. He beat Holloway, Porier, Aldo, Alvarez, Diaz, and he is the only UFC fighter to win a round against Khabib. Yes, his fame and persona are bigger than his talent and that's obnoxious. But he is talented. Very talented.
I think Khabib is the only fighter at 155 who is a clear favorite against Conor. Maybe Gaethe or Tony Ferguson would end up being slight favorites against him, depending on how long a layoff he has or something like that, but besides that I don't see anyone at 155 being a betting favorite against Conor.

I agree with you about Conor. After Khabib, I think Justin beats him but anyone else at 155 I’d probably pick Conor. The issue is Conor seems to want to fight at 170. Against 155’ers moving up in weight it is fine, but the actual 170 fighter, like Nick, are just too big for him.

Two of Conor's last three fights were at 155. The third of those he fought Cowboy at 170, but Cowboy is a 155'er. I think Conor is smart enough that if it's not a title fight, he'd rather fight 155 dudes at 170 so neither of them has to fuck with cutting weight. I mean, it really is stupid that two guys who both weigh 172 or so when they enter the cage had to spend 48 hours cutting weight so they can weigh 155 the day before just to then meet in the cage at 172.
Anyway, Conor is retired. I'm certain that will last. So this is all moot.

Woodley vs Colby is tonight. Pretty awesome fight for a Fight Night card.
I have Colby winning a pretty clear decision. Woodley has looked like garbage in his last few fights. I’d like to see him rebound with a win, but it ain’t gonna happen. I get the feeling he has been fighting for a paycheque his last few fights while he is still a name. I think he likely retires within the year.
So who ya got?

Adesanya v Costa. Who you got? Adesanya is -170; Costa at +150.
I like finding underdogs I think are undervalued and betting on them, which is one reason among many I'm so often wrong, but in this case I think I like the favorite. Costa got hurt more than once by Uriah Hall and I feel like Adesanya is a much better version of Uriah Hall.
Any other good bets to make?
As far as main card underdogs, I'm considering Jan as a pretty big dog (+240) and Sijara as a smaller underdog (+150)

I’m an Israel nut hugger and am picking him to devastate Costa. Not just beat him, but devastate him. I really do think he will pick Costa apart and get the finish. I’m picking Reyes to win but probably won’t bet on it as I don’t like the odds. And finally I am going with the Nightmare to win a decision he has no business winning. YES! YES! YES!

You got one right, John. Congrats.
That was a fun night of fights. Tukhugov really fucked himself in that third round of what was otherwise a really great fight. Royval got a great win in another exciting fight. Then Jan and Adesanya both whupped some ass in fights I enjoyed. I didn't pay for this PPV, as I usually only do that when I have the fellas over to watch but... covid, but I wouldn't have been mad at all if I had.

I got robbed with the Nightmare not getting the decision! Sanchez looked terrible. He’s an old 38. I know he probably wants to keep fighting, but it’s time to retire. The only thing he is able to prove now is that he can still take a beating. Israel looked amazing, but Jan really surprised me. I saw him more as a journeyman than a potential champion. He hits pretty damn hard though. Looking forward to his next fight.

There really is no one for Izzy... A super fight with Jones is the only fight I'm interested in. Jarred? Are you serious? Bobby Knuckles wins he probably gets the rematch... Till wanting a fight but still needs St string up a couple of wins... Of course Conor is always an option...
I was kidding about Conor

It's not like he just connected in the second round and got a somewhat lucky KO. He looked good that whole fight. I don't think he's going to be able to talk himself into a Jon Jones fight, though. Jon is bulking up. Israel really looks dominant. But Whitaker looked really dominant there for a while as well. If he looks good in his next fight in a month I'd happily tune in for that rematch. Other than Whitaker, there aren't any obvious fights for Izzy at this point. But I'm on board with his plan to stay at 185 and not chase super fights. He wants to build a legacy and in that division, you gotta keep defending to do that. Especially with Jones moving to HW, there's not really the draw of a huge fight by moving up a weight class. There are no giant names at 205 with Jones at HW and Cormier retired.

I don’t know if you know this, but an ex-poster named Toehold used to train with Glover. It would be crazy if Glover fights for another title. I thought he was finished years ago. I didn’t think Whittaker looked good against Till even though he won. I’m gonna need to see Whittaker dominate Cannonier in order to get excited for a rematch. I don’t see it happening.

We got the Korean Zombie vs. Ortega tonight.
I’m betting the farm on the Korean Zombie. I’ve always thought Ortega was overrated, but to be fair to him he has the ability to finish a fight at anytime.
Anyways, who ya got?

Man, Ortega looked fucking lethal tonight. He just dominated Zombie on the feet with ease. He looked really slick.
I’m definitely not overlooking Ortega anymore and hope he beats Volkanovski.

Ortega was a man possessed tonight. Unbelievable, he is a different man than he was against Max a few years ago. I think he beats both Alex and Max if he is able to remain as motivated as he was against Zombie who I thought would win.
Gonna be an exiting division going forward!

This guy finished Guida, Frankie Edgar, and Cub Swanson. He has one off night against a guy who was, at the time, clearly the best 145 lber in the world and you think he's overrated. Jesus Christ. Korean Zombie says he doesn't remember the last three rounds. Yikes. That elbow at the end of round two did some serious damage.

C’mon, the Ortega who beat the washed up fighters you mention is not the same fighter we saw Saturday night. His stand up has improved immensely. You might not have noticed though, it takes the trained eye of an expert such as myself to notice these intricacies. And Zombie is one tough dude.
