^^^Looks like someone's in some dire need of some auditing. Now cut me a check for $800 and quit being an SP.

I recorded the series but haven't seen beyond the first episode so far. Definitely plan to finish it out, because what I've seen so far is a perfect example of a religion preying on (pun intended) tremendously weak minded people who "need something" and are willing to go through all this crazy bullshit just to be "gifted" "clarity". This shit fascinates me because I grew up going to church every Sunday, and haven't been to church beyond funerals and weddings since I was 18. First chance I was given to walk away from the whole thing, I took. So things like this Baphle me.

Is that the one with the annoying broad from TV? If so, my wifes watches it.
Watch "Going Clear". Its a doc on HBO that appears to touch on a lot of the same stuff, and from what I saw of the A&E show, its MUCH better.

When I was in college, I did a research paper for my French Society and Institutions class about various cults that existed in France and French-speaking countries. Scientology was one of the cults that just blew my mind. The more I read about it, the more ridiculous I thought it was.

Yea I have seen some episodes. Some crazy shit, but nothing too surprising. They were already on their way out as a major religion and this show very well may be the nail in the coffin.

My grandparents had a house in Clearwater from 2006 to 2015 and we'd go down twice a year to fuck off.
We had to drive right by their HQ building to get to the beach.
That place is CRAWLING with weird ass people..
Many of them were younger, mid 20s probably, all dressed the same going from building to building.
I mean, it looked like a bunch of mindless zombies.

Did the show touch into the Fox News connection to Scientology yet?
Murdoch and Ailes wanted to get rid of Greta Van Susteren but couldn't because her husband is one of the top brass in Scientology and had dirt on them. Him advising Palin was actually part of one of their internal projects for government infiltration.

I have seen a few episodes, it's pretty good. What's even more fascinating to me, is that for as fucked up as L. Ron was, Miscavige is like 50 times worse.
I still shudder to think I was every involved in that farce. At least they only got like 80 bucks outta me.

I am uncomfortable knowing that we are among a former lunatic. I need a safe place. Somebody, please...

I don't fault people for getting involved depending on the circumstances. Auditing is not a totally flawed concept and they intentionally keep you from knowing the whole story until you're deep into it and heavily invested. But once it's clear that this thing is a pay-to-play deal with authoritarian methodologies and Xenu, anyone who stays involved beyond that point is out of excuses. Sorry, Tom. You're a fucking nut job.

I base it on the rather frequent reports of him physically beating people. Dude has a Napolean complex. And what's worse, I've also read that he has ordered many of his aides to beat people as well. Hubbard was just a narcissist playing god. Miscavige is a narcissist who actually BELIEVES he's god (or something like that). For what it's worth, most ex-scientologists actually think Hubbard was worse, so they're opinion is probably more valuable than mine.
On the bright side for Miscavige is that his idiocy has lead to the drastic decrease of scientology worldwide.
