I mean he has a point to a degree. I think he has to defend a few times, prove he can draw first.
The game is changing. Sadly.

I see no reason for title defenses.
The UFC doesn't either.

I have a feeling after seeing Cruz at the post fight presser that he is going to be out for awhile.
Give Cody TJ, put them on a halfway decent card and let's see how it does.
After that then talk about Aldo or DJ or whomever else.

for whatever reason, Cody doesn't seem interested in TJ

No one else gives a fuck about TJ either. Agreed. Will still be a good fight though. And if it gives Cody a title defense under his belt, even better for him in the future.

TJ should get next shot, it's embarrassing that he wasn't given a rematch with the running man, imo he should have never lost his belt in the 1st place. Cody is going to knock him out though!

I will definitely be pulling for Cody in a fight with TJ
I am not sure he beats TJ though. TJ might have more tools.
I won't bet against Cody again though.
On a side note, I bet Conor is champing at the bit for a fight with Cody. He knows there's hype now and it's a much more money (and easier) fight than Khabib.

JFC. Cody and Conor at what weight?
This is ridiculous and will never happen.
Conor isn't ever going back to 145 so forget that.
Dude walks around at 180+ easy.

Not that he was a draw, but what happened to Renan Pegado? No more 135 after some incident?
Always wanted to see him vs Cruz.

He moved to 145 after his second lost to TJ. Went 1-1 there so far.

cody is LEGIT and beats TJ the same way he beat cruz. cody's boxing is some of the best in mma today. one thing that is usually lacking in mma strikers is head movement. look at cody's head movement. you can tell he started out as a boxer (what'd he have like 20 amateur fights?). i have a feeling cody will be on top of whatever division he's in for a long time.

I don't know if he beats TJ. TJ may not have as good of hands but he's comes in off odd angles and has decent takedowns. I also think he has a better chin then Dom and won't get shellshocked when that power touches him.
I'm interested in seeing this and I'm also interested in seeing Pegado come back to 135.

TJ could present some problems

I completely disagree. If Dom didnt present any challenges - Cody will finish TJ in the first 2 rounds.

I still see TJ better than Cruz even though he lost the decision. He chased him the first few rounds and that's what cost him the fight.
Cody had a great game plan to NOT chase Cruz.
...but I do hope Cody finishes TJ within a round or two cause I can't stand that annoying little bitch.

I'm interested in seeing this and I'm also interested in seeing Pegado come back to 135. recently, TJ only uses his takedowns when he's winning and his opponent is forced to come forward more aggressively than they would otherwise. i don't see cody being in that forward desperation mode. TJ and cruz have similar styles. they stay at distance and go in and out with odd, unconventional strikes/angles. if TJ tries to shoot a double leg from those distances against Cody, they end up stuffed. i thought cody would get frustrated with cruz's in and out style and he did not. he had a game plan and executed it to perfection. his game plan wouldn't change much, if at all, fighting TJ and i think will yield the same result.

The round that Cruz got hit with the headbutt and I think a knee? Look at him when he goes back to his corner and is hitting some water. Hes shaking.
Watch the post fight pressor. If he didn't fuck up his knees during that fight...I dunno.
He won't ever likely admit it but I don't think Cody fought the best Cruz we've seen. I'd prefer to see Cosy with that title but I'm not counting out TJ based on the fight with Dom.

Cody is willing to save everyone their $60. Said he's going to release the video footage of him knocking out TJ in sparring. Cody going full heel. Lol!
And before you get your panties twisted, TJ is notorious for going 100% against beginners in TAM.

TJ stated that footage simply doesn't exist. So he denied that it wasn't on film, but not that it didn't happen?

TJ stated that footage simply doesn't exist. So he denied that it wasn't on film, but not that it didn't happen? Says it doesn't exist because it's never happened. Says Dodson is the only one that ever came close to ko'ING him, ever. I can't recall where, but I do know he said this after the Lineker fight. Some podcast or some shit. I don't think it was Helwani, someone else.
