Metzler is reporting that Rhonda is refusing to do any fight week media, including the official press conference.
What a royal twat. I would love to see her pulled. Better yet, I would love to see her KO'd again. Such a mental midget

No way she gets pulled or even mention of it... The new owners are her people! Conor will definitely say something about it.
I hope she get humiliated but I see her winning, getting a shot at 145 then retiring

While I think it's rather weak, Im assuming she doesn't want to answer the mma press questions and start doubting herself.
Not a good sign imo. We will see...
I kind of think Nunes lays her out.

Agreed. Look how Conor handled his loss compared to Ronda. If she cant even face the media, then she sure isnt going to do well facing Nunes.

That's what Conor wanted though if he could have gotten his way... Less media obligations and more time to focus on the fight... As much as I want her to lose, I think this only helps her.

This is part of the deal she negociated when she agreed to come back. The ESPN interview that was posted recently talks about it, and how she told Conor to do the same. Very smart on her part. Trying to please everyone, do every interview and appearance, etc, is one of the things that cost her the Holm fight (that and a terrible coach). She's at least trying not to repeat ONE of those mistakes.

she definitely has all signs of being a bully. kicks everyones ass until a pretty girl thats being picked on kicks her ass in front of the school and no longer has that bully edge. now shes just walking around the hall a fat pimply loser. And now she needs to meet the latina girl that she was picking on afterschool and shes already doubting herself cause no ones scared of her anymore.
I predict shes running out of the octagon after she loses like Forrest Griffin...

She's getting her ass kicked so it won't matter after this fight.

Unfortunately press is part of the game. Maybe not all over the place but the press conferences at the very least.
I was not a fan of hers to begin with but the way she behaved after that loss was really telling. Instead of a behaving like a strong person who got bested, she hid. To me it showed a real lack of character which was so disappointing.

No need for it to be part of the game, ask a couple questions at an event sure, but when it cuts into 3/4 of your training time, it is too much.

I predict shes running out of the octagon after she loses like Forrest Griffin... I thought each fight also came with its own contract and terms, in addition to a general contract/agreement with the organization. I could very well be wrong about that, but couldn't she have negociated that for this particular fight?

She put in her contract that IF she comes back she wouldn't have to do the whole media thing. The UFC really wanted her back so they agreed to it. Because everyone else has to do the media stuff. Just ask Nick Diaz and Conor LOL

The UFC wanted her to come back pretty bad. I bet they offered her some Conor type money to do so.

Call it now and let it be known
I think she wins it.

I think she wins. She's in shape and motivated, avoiding distractions. The only negative I see is Edmond, which I admit is pretty negative. That said, I still think she takes it.

I think Nuñez will bully her and break her will. Wouldn't be suprised of a first round stoppage.

She's stronger than Nuñez, has more tools than Nuñez. If non-fight related shit was kept at a minimum for the last 2 months, then she's smarter and mentally stronger than Nuñez too. She takes it

I understand the media thing before the fight but come fight week, she'll be on Vegas and everybody else will be doing the conference and small stuff. Those things are not distractions. She's just a whiney bitch... I hope she gets her head punched in and quits the sport. Spread winner and a sore loser. Unfortunately, I think she wins. She's mad at Rogan so she probably won't do a post fight interview either.
Here's to Daywork's Christmas wish coming true! The end of Ronda in MMA!

Fuck it, I'm rolling with Ronda. If she is half of what she was when she made 3 title defenses that only lasted a few minutes total, she bars Nunes in the 1st.
She still needs to go to an elite camp.

Before that is getting you ready, in shape, your plan. Fight week is getting that muscle memory, your reactions, fine tuning.

Since the history of press conferences, who has missed them fight week? It's two things mainly, press conference and weigh ins? What's next, she'll want to miss the second non-official weigh in? It's a level playing field come fight week. Prior to that I understand the countless interviews and traveling. There really is no excuse for this, you just try to go against the grain to argue, I would to if I had all the time in the world...

For the most part nobody, Rhonda was the beginning of the massive media-forward approach by Zuffa. You've had fighters in the public eye in the before, but until her, Zuffa never put them physically in the media's spotlight like that. She didn't want to, she said it took away from training, they did it, she lost. I don't blame her for saying fuck you not this time.

How is Nune's TDD?

LMAO Ronda has changed her motto. It was DNB (Do nothing bitch), she became a DNB after the loss. So now she changed it to FTA (Fuck them all)
