I think they're going to let Ronda do the same thing Conor did... If she beats Amanda, a rematch with Holly at 145 is the ideal meatch...
It's another division for Ronda pretty much.
Stick it to Cyborg...

Who are the other big girls out there that could potentially fight at 145?

That's great. The #3 contender is someone Ronda and Amanda both destroyed within 15 seconds. Nice talent pool.

For one, those fights took place 5 years ago and at 145,Ronda has beaten may at 135 in similar time frame. Which lead many to say the same about the 135 division competition Ronda was facing. It took about a year or two for competition to really start accumulating... Lets not act like everyone was familiar with the top 10 135 women division when it first came about. This division is being set up for a super fight between Ronda and Holly down the road, to give Ronda a chance at two belts. If Cyborg is around great, if she's not even better.

I don't know what's more ridiculous, cyborg turning down the fight claiming she needed 12 weeks to cut weight when she has in the past on multiple occasions taken fights on 2 months notice or less. Or that the UFC just matches up a top 5 135 pounder on a 2 loss streak against and unknown top 15 135 pounder and they try to sell it as a title fight and potential ppv main event??
Cyborg is a fighter, her job is to fight, literally every past UFC champ has taken at least 1 fight on less than 2 months notice. And holly vs Germaine would be an undercard fight on most pics if fought in their weight class, instead both are fighting up a class and it's called a title fight. The UFC needed her for a February ppv, she should have accepted the fight no questions asked.
Nobody will see the winner as a legitimate champ.

This division is being set up for a super fight between Ronda and Holly down the road, to give Ronda a chance at two belts. If Cyborg is around great, if she's not even better. We all became familiar with them very quickly because they were competitive fights and some dropped down to 135 which was more natural. 145 has been around for as long as 135, so where is the talent? We have seen nothing out of Invicta so i can't buy that we need a few more years for the talent to start accumulating. We have watched the talent pool grow at 115 and 135, so the jury is out for me on whether 145 is possible. Maybe they can make a TUF season and get some olympic wrestler chicks involved, but I don't have much faith. The division was set-up for Cyborg, not Holly. That's why she was offered the 3 fights at the weight. Now they will go to Holly, and others, because Cyborg wants no part of legitimate opponents and won't fight unless it's the perfect situation for her. I agree it's ideal so one woman can capture two belts and potentially be promoted, but I don't know that it can stick around. If 2 years from now the top 145 talent are all ex 135ers that can fight at both weights, than why keep the division?

Shit, there's 50 bitches right there. Plus now that the division exists some other girls will get fat thinking they won't have to cut weight. Plus you got Holm and Cyborg already in it...........this new division doesn't bother me at all. Looking forward to it.

I we'll find it growing fast. It'll probably be regulated to undercards and facebook prelims until they get a good view of who's legit at the weight. However it is a division with maybe more potential fighters than the others, just currently mostly limited to amateur and podunk pro cards. If you look at the body types women get, 145/150 makes sense to have. You have those that are really hard on the weight cut on the one end of the scale that can fight closer to natural, and you have that other end of the scale that can cut down a bit to hit it. That other end of the scale that can cut down is probably larger than the other female weight classes combined.

Horrible idea on the UFC's part. Cyborg is an ignorant bitch. I wish someone would beat her damn brains out already. Too bad there is basically no talent out there at the masculine weight classes. 125 might not be the worst division in the UFC now. What?? You think the MEN'S weight classes have no talent? What are you smoking? I still can't understand people complaining about men's 125 with the last season full of AMAZING fights we had. And Mighty Mouse might be the most talented P4P fighter in MMA history, including Jones. Your reading comprehension is suspect. I questioned the talent in the manly female classes, they have trouble ranking 20 women at 145. Men's 125 is just boring because the threat of a finish is very low.

cyborg asked for the fight in march instead of february so she can recover from the brutal weight cut in her last fight. UFC couldnt wait the extra month. After all these years, they couldnt wait 1 month for cyborg, the person thats been campaigning for this for 5 years with the ufc, to recover from her last fight... what a joke. haha! Holm as marketable champ it is! LOL Cyborg wont be getting a title shot anytime soon... LOLOL

Nobody will see the winner as a legitimate champ.that's my thing. i'm not so opposed to the division in general, but this "title fight" is garbage. from a business perspective i guess i get holm. she potentially brings name recognition to the strap if she wins it. but i'm a fan and i don't care about "business". i want to see the fighters who earn their shot, get their shot. i'll always side with the talent before management. but germaine? how the fuck does she leapfrog girls like pena and pennington? both of those girls are on much more impressive win streaks and both have some name recognition from TUF. if those girls weren't offered the fight before germaine, then this is just a little too much BS match-making/fixing the division to be a multi belt setup for rhonda. i'd love to know for sure who was offered the fight. i suppose it's possible that those girls turned it down to stay at 135.

Kayla Harrison, who won the judo gold in the past two Olympics, could be a great addition to this weight class if she comes over to MMA as it's been speculated she will.

I disagree, we all knew Tate, Kaufman, Davis, etc. They were not the stars that Ronda became, but they were all pretty well known in the mma circles.

The minor leagues is EXACTLY where most of these people should be. There are "minor league" men's softball teams-it doesn't mean they need a professional organization. It's time to get rid of the men's flyweight division, and take women's featherweight with it. Dude, I don't understand how you can have a problem with 125lbs. Didn't you enjoy the last season of TUF? There's PLENTY of talent at 125lbs.

For those of you complaining, I don't feel like you should be. The UFC is the most legit org in the world so my stance has always been that if there is a weight class, either male or female, that exists in other orgs, it NEEDS to exist in MMA. I'm not good with sports analogies, but imagine if there was a weight class in boxing that only existed in lower level orgs but not in the top boxing orgs? It makes no sense. The UFC needs to have a division for every existent weight class in MMA. I'm excited to see some of these fights, especially since now FINALLY Cyborg will fight and we might see her against some of the better female fighters. Good fights happen at every weight class, both men and women, and this will be no exception. So they need a 350 pound mens division because there may be one Bob Sapp out there? How about a 75 pound division for midgets? They made this division for ONE fighter - Cyborg and she refused the first two fights offered her. That's why the division will be ridiculed. I'll hold my breath until we see what happens. If it looks like there's no talent perhaps it should go but I don't blame the UFC for giving it a shot. But people saying that 125lbs needs to go after we've seen all the talented fighters at that class and after how good the last TUF season was, how good Cejudo vs Benavidez was, and also the fairly exciting title fight, I just don't get it.

I think cyborg just got mad because she didn't get to fight Ronda. That was the money fight she wanted. But on her own terms. Most likely under a catch weight at 140. .she will come around though. Once she sees Holy and the other big girls fighting. B

As long as she keeps all that makeup and im sipping on some liquid courage,. I'll hit that. The trick is lo leave early the next morning. Thst way you don't see her with her I just woke up look. Probably not s fun time with her makeup all runny and shit. Other than that be careful in case she tries to fuck you with her dick sized clit or a Mr mandingo black strap on. .

That must had been some intensive shit. Throwing chute boxe knees at each other in order to climax.
