Well, sad for Brown but another cerrone win is a cool and furthers a fun story. Wants to fight again in 2 weeks??? Awesome. Whose next for cerrone?

I love going into big fights feeling indifferent.
I don't care who wins this next one, I just want to see a good fight or finish.

Who should Cerrone fight next? The only guys ranked ahead of him are Woodley, Wonderboy, Lawler, Maia and Condit. He'd be great to see against Condit or Lawler but both are coming off of losses. He could fight Maia, but I really think it's not fair for Maia to get anyone other than Wonderboy or Woodley now. Even though Maia deserves a title shot, I would like to see Cowboy face him
I think Maia dominates cerrone. Bad matchup for Donald. Condit would be a beautiful fight, but also think Condit wins. Pretty similar fighters really, but Condit is bigger and more durable.

I wish Cowboy called out Maia. Just to solidify Maia's status. One single leg and its over.

I agree a single leg is all Maia needs

It was close Bobo. But Matt wobbled cowboy more. Enough to sway the judges if it had gone to a decision.

Damn, I was looking at the internet and not even really paying enough attention and Holloway finishes Pettis!
Has anyone else ever finished him standing before??
I guess that will teach him for missing weight!

you guys think Max takes Aldo? I think so Aldo would do a boring gameplan. Wait for max to come inside, counter, repeat. Aldo 50-45.

Pettis is going back to 155.
The only reason that sucks is cause for some reason I always wanted to see him fight Cub and now it won't happen.
After tonight I think Cub would probably beat him at any weight.

It's funny, but until just looking at his record I didn't realize how good Holloway is.
He's on a 10 fight win streak, has finished Pettis, Cub, Oliviera, beat Stephens and Lamas, and Connor couldn't even finish him even though he got the decision and he's only had 3 losses.
I guess we all have these certain fighters we've seen fight a million times before but even though they are good we just never really take much notice of them, and for me that guy is Holloway.
Been watching him fight and win for years and yet I've hardly even noticed him.
You could have asked me about him and I wouldn't have thought his record was anywhere near as good as it is.
Not sure why he never even got my attention at all, especially with him actually being pretty exciting.

Go ahead and let the hate flow....

Lucky for him, all an "under the radar" guy like him needs is a good win on a main event like tonight. People will notice him from now on. And this doesn't mean we are noobs that just found out about Holloway. Of course I was aware of him. I just failed to see him as a guy to watch out for.

Nah. You guys are casuals. Nothing wrong with that. With all the ronda/conor hoopla, fighters which have been crying for a title fight with their streaks are getting swept under the rug.

I've been an MMA fan so long I worked my way from hardcore BACK to casual lol.
That's what happens when you've been watching since UFC 1 LIVE.
I remember being in 8th grade and daydreaming about wanting to see Shamrock vs Severn before it had ever happened.
Think about that for a second...

I remember renting VHS tapes from the local hole in the wall video shops in Brooklyn. Mid 90s. I've might not had seen UFC 1 right away. But I definitely caught it no later than 94 or early 95. So I been down since almost the beginning. Including the dark years when all you could get was some semi bootleg bullshit while they were getting banned all over the place. Remember them mom and pops VHS rental places? With the porn section in the back behind a curtain. 1 or 2 dollars for a one or two day rental and then they'll fuck you over with the late fees. This was years ago before blockbuster ventured into the hood. And even when they did , some of them blockbuster had to close down. People were pretty loyal to their local video shops mostly because blockbuster charged twice as much.
