I'm a little hard to tack down. I do a lot of little stuff. Ha. That's how a drug dealer or all-purpose con man/hustler would begin his answer. Kind of guy James Woods usually plays.

I'm a little hard to tack down. I do a lot of little stuff. My primary, day-to-day, is crossfit. I own two and we're opening a third location in 2017. All along the I-35 corridor from OKC to Moore to Norman, each about 15 min south of the previous. It's solid revenue and a lot of fun, but also allows for a great deal of personal freedom and flexibility where I can pursue other projects. I illustrate for children's books, I day trade, I run a power washing business, I'm looking at building a wedding venue "The Barn", occasionally we find old cars or lightly damaged cars at auctions and do some fixing-up and resell at profit, I also, even less often, buy and develop land and resell at profit (did a huge one in Guthrie a few years ago that will give me monthly payouts for the next 7 years/did another one in Bartlesville this year), and just in general always looking to get my fingers into pies. Sounds like something Jackel would make up. Awesome - good for you, man. You're in your prime.

man, wish you could come do that to my home. My electricity bills are $350-400 in the summer. Home built in 2008, plenty of insulation, etc. I am sure AC is leaking out though. I know you don't do Houston though I don't do Houston, but there is a program out there.
Call Centerpoint (your elec company) and ask for the Energy Efficiency department. They can get you to a contractor.
and this is free to me?

Some of you guys have awesome jobs. So do you. You're just too modest to realize it.

My business card says "Special Projects Manager", which is ironic since my first job was repairing wheelchairs. But basically, anyone that needs custom metal work deals with me. I help you with your design, get you a quote, etc. 90% of our customers have no idea what physics is, so my real job is enlightening people to the laws of Newton. Now you know why I'm getting my engineering degree. I'm basically an engineer without the pay.

This is my goal with my career. Lacking the capital and balls to make the jump though. Took me until I was 34 to pull a move like this. Worked odd jobs and software development contract from the time I was 16 until I was 33. Did work for the DoD, the State, various Universities and resorts, all consulting and developing custom software, then implementation and upkeep/upgrades. I put a lot of money back, started playing the stock market after the 2008 crash on a tip from a friend, had some luck, and by 2013 I was in a place where I could legit consider doing some "roll the dice" shit like this.

I'm wise enough to know this is 90% dumb luck, but also wise enough to know how/when to take advantage of it. Dumb luck visits us all. Most simply stare blankly at it and shrug. Lots of people have ideas and opportunities but lack the initiative or execution to make something out of it. The ONLY difference between me and the guys/gals I grew up with is that I pay attention to what's going on around me, I'm not afraid to fuck up (within reason), and I stayed single and kidless into my 30s. I'll give you one more example. I'm working on a scheduling app for medical professionals (nurses, techs, drs, etc) so they can track when they're working, where, "call in sick" with a click, trade shifts, see weather advisories, alert code blue, flatlines, fires, quarantines, active shooters, other emergencies, etc. Can have standard med dosing protocols and other quick tips for staff. Hospital buys it, employees get an ID when they're hired, saves them a ton of money in the long run and prevents scheduling errors because everyone is looking at the same data.

I am the vitamin manager for a health store in southern California. I have 6 employees and an assistant under me. I've been a manager for 1.5 years and I have been with the company for 14.5 years.
Next year I'll be getting a warehouse and going back to growing cannabis.

Which one of your ventures took you to China? I think i remember you saying it was a semi business trip.

Rub butts as one of the best massage therapists around. Due to growing up dirt poor, university, breaking my legs and going back to school, then the divorce, I have no money saved for the future, so will be doing this until I die or my hands fall off. Good enough for me!! Super busy lately, hence I've been absent from here. It's the first job I actually love- mental and physical, plus I help people live life better daily! I make enough to survive, and that's good enough!
In "spare time" business I'm a Knifemaker, and am in the talks to become a producer of S&M paddles of all things- when they sell a plain wood paddle for $100- I'm in! Hoping to teach my style of massage in the future as well.
It's nice hearing so many on here are doing well, and that we are such a diverse group!

No problem. Hey, when you are good at something, you want others to be as good as you are.....

I work at a call center, hourly plus commission, recently my own office because I've been taking over some management duties. It's boring but as long as I fill my daily quota, I'm left the Fuck alone and I appreciate that. I also have supplemental income on the side.
