With his lame matchup off of the table with Gas the UFC moved him to a card in December against Matt Motherfucking Brown.
I've been wanting this one ever since Cowboy started playing around at WW. I know MB is in a slump and Cowboy is on fire but I think it will still be a blast. I love both of these guys, pure fighters.

You think Brown is too many steps back for Cowboy?

I don't care about title implications, etc. This is just going to be a fun fight to watch. That's all.

Matt Brown lost his last two fights. Cowboy is on a three fight win streak. YES, it's about 42 huge leaps back.

I don't disagree where you are coming from but think about this: Matt Brown has lost to top WW whereas Cowboy has beat Story and Cote. So while it is a step back, it's not as bad as it looks from a competition standpoint. Couple that in with they they are both exciting fighters with similar attributes (albeit Cowboy definitely better IMO), it should make for a great fight. I am sure if there was a higher caliber WW fighter ready to go, they would have set that up. If you are still wanting Cowboy to fight and fight soon, Brown seems like the logical choice.

I knew you would come back with that stance. I don't see any win for Cowboy here. He wins and they will say, "so what, dude lost his last two fights." He loses and they will say, "wow, that guy lost his last two fights." Competition wise it's not horrible. From a business standpoint it's downright ignorant, especially from a guy like Cowboy who wants to get paid. He should have held out for a bigger name.

Yeah, can't argue that. I would have still liked to seen Cowboy vs Robbie
Also, Cowboy isn't losing to Brown.

Nothing to gain for Cowboy in fighting Brown. Fun fight for the fans though.

No one ever claimed Cowboy was a smart fellow. I don't think the Immortal will exactly fall back on an engineering degree either.
