If he takes a hard line, nobody in the states will be able to grow. He very possibly could reverse the "we won't usually go after the state-sanctioned growers" policy in place. 100% wrong. If he takes a hard line he first has to go to Congress and have Hinchey-Rohrabacher removed. That's going to be almost impossible to accomplish. That position you are talking about is an antiquated one that was taken PRIOR to Hinchey-Rohrabacher being implemented. Now that it is in place, it's not a "we usually won't go after state sanctioned grower"- it's a "we cannot go after state sanctioned growers". Not only that, but the DEA tried to ignore the amendment and got stomped in the 9th Federal District Court on the issue. They lack the resources and man power to go after the marijuana markets in every state that has legalized for medical or recreational. It would be a massive expense that would also equate to political suicide for the Republican party. Because the only route they have to stop recreational is to take away people's medicine. They aren't gonna do that, no matter how uppity the AG gets about the issue.

It does. However, every state that has recreational already has medical. My state's medical program won't be touched by the recreational legislation. And it's likely that every commercial grow up here has some medical on site that occupies "rented space" to protect us from the feds entirely. Since our head grower already has a medical business, they won't be able to shut us down and then win in court.
Like I said already. Differentiation between rec and med is going to be politically untenable. Big risk to take with no political gain.

I know you are doing it with friends i think you said Initial investment is still the same. Nothing has changed. I've got friends who will be working for me, but the funding money is from me and family related investors.

So you're going to end up with a Tim Sylvia physique? That might be problematic bro.

Florida is saying Fuck You to the voters. Many counties are moving to delay allowing medical as long as possible. WTF is wrong with politicians? We overwhelmingly voted for it you turds, get out of the way.

The No On 1 people in Maine are doing the same thing Duval. They're demanding a recount, which is happening right now. They lost, but they can't accept it. So they are costing the taxpayers of Maine 500K in additional expenses so that we can recount a vote that was won by a margin MUCH higher than the margin of error for the machines. All it does is delay when it goes into effect up here. The vote tally isn't going to change much, but it will push the legality coming into effect by about six weeks at least.
It's annoying.

The margin of error by the machines is 100pts given that they are insecure. But let them have the recount, it'll just confirm the mandate and how across party lines it is making it harder to try and overturn down the line.

Old people refusing to die. Are they the people with the issue about it down there? You'd think them and the vets would be the biggest supporters.

Premier- no offense, but that shit looks like oregano. Dam right! Worse fucking weed I have smoked in years. It even had seeds....fucking seeds! I haven't seen seeds in a bag of weed since I used to cop nickel bags in the 90s. But beggars can't be choosers. Its not comfortable for me to drive yet because of the surgery. So my neighbor hooked me up with that. He smokes shitty weed. Definitely that brick weed from Mexico. Waiting to heal up a bit more to go and cop something decent.

I had an old square turn down one of my rentals because...
We went to go walk through it while the old tenant was still in there, which I like to avoid doing, but this old guy was relentless in wanting to see this place. If I can get someone out, clean the place and then get someone in the next day, if possible, that's a good situation for me. So we went. I rent to some 24 year old (last time I ever do that, another story for another time). His place smelled like weed a little bit. Had a little bong out in his place.
Old guy smells it immediately and goes "eh, reefer". Then asks if I'm going to be repainting and how the smell and the drug itself stays in the walls. Out of repsect for my elders I didn't argue that, just told him my plan to clean, touch up paint and call it a day.
He wouldn't take it...

Is that a rule on all your properties?

Is that a rule on all your properties? It's not, but the ones I've had up lately have usually been in tight knit quarters with common walls. I need to take that post down, I had that place rented within 3 hours of it. Worked on that place all day and will be there all weekend. A dirty lady was living there, looked like they had been there for decades. I looked up her lease, she'd been there 14 months. I'll have something popping up first of the year that I'll take dogs at, has a yard. Dick is moving out Dec 23rd...which means it's gonna be a long drive for me to make it to xmas with the fam. Friday before an xmas weekend. For the most part I try to avoid pets in my personal properties. It really depends on the person and the pet to be honest. I've had some off putting experiences so I prefer to just keep it simple and go with someone without a pet.

If you aren't blind or a vet with PTSD, your dog can and is a deal breaker.

If you aren't blind or a vet with PTSD, your dog can and is a deal breaker. Except that it has been updated to include ESA and there are legit psychiatrists are basically handing out "prescriptions" for them like they are candy. The part of me that loves dogs says YAY, the part of me that realizes that this is gonna wind up backfiring and making it too hard to get them eventually is absolutely irritated by it.

I'll gladly take a trained service dog and I do at one of my places, blind dude. That dog is a great dog, been there 6 years. No problems.
There is a diffefence between the service animal (which is trained) and the "comfort" animal (which doesn't have to be trained). Its unfortunate that these comfort animals are given a pass because I can tell you right now its not cool to landlords. I've had some people bring on dogs, birds, even a fucking mini pig. All "comfort" animals. Anxiety. Stress. Just say you have it and the animal brings relieve. Boom, Dr note and I have to let you keep it.
I have a way I deal with the people that want to go that route.

The law can say whatever the fuck it wants to. When you get right down to it, the landlord gets to decide who he rents HIS property to.
