My girl brought this home recently. "Unlocked" or whatever that means. All I know is we have a pretty decent selection of shows and movies to watch. I'm also surprised at the quality.
I know I'm Toehold years behind on technology here, but anyone have any advice or cool apps to check out with this thing?
Can I get a live UFC event on this?

I am assuming it had Kodi installed? Check in yours apps and it should be there.
you can usually find UFC PPV streams but takes a little patience and the quality can be questionable.
The stick is pretty good though, tons of stuff on Kodi.

My ex-housemate bought an ipod touch & hacked it. HD UFC PPVs for life.

How's the safety of using the third party software on Kodi loaded sticks? I've been very iffy on streaming sources since turns out Ace Stream was infecting computers with a wide range of various malware and shit for over 2yrs.

What app streams the fights? there are at least a few that you want if they are not already installed.
The only ones I can remember off the top of my head (I can look later when I am home) is Sports Devil and UK Turk Playlists
Usually, I have better luck finding a BT Sports stream instead of a stream labeled "UFC PPV" but it's really trial and error.

Van u do that with a roku as well? You can't run Kodi on a Roku stick because it doesn't run Android as its main operating system. All new Kindle devices run Android underneath a custom Amazon interface. I have a GBox, which is an Android box that's more powerful than the Firestick. It runs Kodi and more but it's also not necessary for most people, the Firestick is super convenient and very inexpensive.

What kind of movies are you guys watching on it. Meaning are they new movies? Movies that are on On-demand? or old ass movies that are on HBO and such?
Wife's birthday is a week away. I'm thinking about getting this firestick with Kodi if she can watch on-demand movies.
