Genuinely nice guy. Developed & supported(he owns properties so they could all live in the same neighborhood)amazing fighters. Great chin(lol), heart(fought with 2 broken hands) & amazing display of mma creativity in his prime. He would be missed.
My designs(similar, lel)are in the 1:20 mark.

Faber will go down as one of the legends of the sport. Probably one of the greatest who never held a (UFC) belt.

Yeah I would agree he is probably the best to never win a UFC belt. He is a pretty intelligent guy, he will probably make more money after his fight career is over.

I feel very lucky to have worked some of his fights at an Indian casino, near Clear Lake (including his first loss, vs Tyson Griffn) and several WEC bouts. Definitely a stud, and a classy guy.

I always liked Faber, dude was tough as nails and fought a fight with pretty much two broken hands against Mike Brown, mixed it with the best in every division. I don't think he's a gate keeper as he was pretty much the number 2 guy in every division he's fought in at a time, he was just unlucky to fight in staked divisions!
I still like that he beat Cruz, the "Not every time Dom" line cracks me up, its not like Hamill over JBJ because it was a legit win!

I think it's a good time for Faber to go out, he's not on top but he'd still be too much for 90% of the young guns in the division.
In all honesty I wish Pickett would retire after this one too. He's a guy whose taken a lot of punishment and Ilike the idea of 2 warriors of the lighter weight early days retiring together.
I know he hasn't had the success in the UFC that he managed in the WEC but Pickett was a true pro. Always brought it and rounded out his game so well. He's been fighting for such a long time he's a true pioneer in uk terms. I remember seeing his 2nd fight where he got caught in a triangle and punched in the face for like 2-3 mins. Him being the home fighter and ticket seller they were gonna let him go full Sakuraba damage levels to pick up the win.
That was his only TKO for years, dude was so tough, he had a chin of granite, but as you start to see him get wobbled more you know what's coming. If he went now he's only taken the 1 KO loss.
I'm such a fan of his, I know it sounds silly now with Bisping somehow champion but I still think Brad is the better fighter p4p in their primes. Although is Bispings prime is now seeing as he's the champion..... Which is odd in itself.

I heard on several podcast that he is set financially. That the guy own a shitload of properties in California. So good for him. Some guys stay far too long because they have to make that money.

His only financial liability is master thong. The dude who wears wife beaters & sunglasses 24/7 has a gambling addiction(thai. Is normal).
