Even people in Hollywood like to have imaginary friends who are superior to themselves. But that relig-cult is probably one of the most fucked up organizations in the world today. I spent a bit of time in their Boston chapter, just because I was curious. A lot of books on the walls, a lot of people with money, and a general feeling of insanity permeated the place. My questions about meeting Tom Cruise someday were met with evil stares. They lacked a sense of humor. And they wanted money. Like, all of the money I had, and all the money I would ever make. I laughed and left once the money questions started. One can "save their soul" for free. Just stop being a dick and try being nice to people. Problem solved.

Can you talk about the auditing process in detail? How does it work? What's the goal? What are some examples of questions you'd ask? Well, like I said, we only audited based off of the process as detailed in Dianetics. And when Dianetics was written, there was no E-Meter and Hubbard had not needed to add the OT levels yet. Going clear was supposed to be the ultimate human experience. He only added the OT levels later, after people had started going clear and still sucked at life, basically. So he did some hand wavy stuff and said "oh going Clear was just the start. There are 8 more levels to achieve the true ultimate human experience!" He most likely did this after a couple bottles of wine. Anyhow, our auditing consisted of picking a time in your life where something bad happened. You usually wanted to start with something small, and physical. Don't start with emotional pain. So, for instance, I ripped my fingernail off when I was like 9 years old. So I would close my eyes and try to put myself back to when I ripped my fingernail off. Describe the sights, the sounds, the who, what, when and where of being there. Then recount the moments leading up to and including ripping the nail off. Try to feel the pain again. Then do it again. And Again, and again, and again. I guess you were basically trying to numb the suppressed pain from that experience, some bullshit like that. So then you were supposed to go through stages, I can't exactly remember what they were. But you'd spend like 15 minutes recounting this same experience over and over. At first, it was painful, then it was annoying, then painful AGAIN, and then finally you were at piece with it. That pain (the thetan) was now removed from your body, and you were one step closer to being clear. You were literally supposed to do this with every bad experience in your life, including mom and dad talking shit about you while you were in the womb! Once EVERY bad experience was purged (or whatever they called it), THEN you were Clear. You did get a typical "aha I feel good" endorphine rush from it, which I guess was some of the allure. I distinctly recall driving home one day after auditing and thinking to myself "the air smells better, the grass is greener, and the trees seem to be standing taller!" Ya know, but that shit would only last a few minutes at most. Oh, and as to the questions you would ask if you were auditing the other person? It was really just to flesh out the entire experience. If they say something like "I see a car", you'd ask them to describe it. Stuff like that. Trying to keep them on point and on topic. Like when the guy was auditing me about ripping my fingernail off, he'd say things like "okay, I want you to have your nail ripped off again, and tell me exactly what pain you are feeling." "Does it hurt everywhere, or just your finger? Oh, there's a pain in your chest too? Do you feel short of breath?" Things like that.

Shiiiit. For 300 bucks you can attend an Ayahuasca ceremony, shit out a demon, trip balls all night long, relive past horrors and feel like a new man after a day or 2 of reflection.

Yes, but can you buy books by the esteemed Mr. Hubbard there? Do you get a reduced price lunch? More importantly, do you get to play with a 1960's style lie detector?

Do you know of any Ayahuasca ceremonies here in the states? I thought going to Peru was the only option. Is ayahuasca even legal here? Or is it considered a drug?

Yes I do. They are about 3 hours away from my area. It's invite only, you have to know someone. You take it with others, strangers. There are people thst lead you through it.
One of my buddies that used to fight, has a Sherdog record lol, he is way into it. I want to say hes gone about 5 times now.
He had a lot of digging to do though, very rough past and very conflicted.
I personally feel that when certain doors or Windows open....I haven't felt a need to continue to shut and reopen. If that makes any sense.

The is one place it's gotten legal status as a religious rite. I believe it's Washington state.
I've also heard of several people going to Mexico and Peru and coming back here and quitting drinking, quitting smoking, fixing troubled marriages, walking away from gambling and porn addictions cold turkey, etc.
Interesting shit, and it's just a chemical that already exists in your brain and is released when you dream. It's a waking dream. That's it.
