Lol. Enjoy it while you can bud.
Brady will retire eventually and Belichick will drop from a heart attack soon after. I hope you and I are still communicating online while the Patriots go on a Chicago Bulls-like slump after Jordan retired.

I spoke with three toothless old witches, churning their cauldron out in the Woods yesterday.
(Ummm, that would be Grosse Pointe Woods, the nearby rich suburb that borders Detroit's east side)
Anyway, the witches assured me that my CyberCurse on the Lions will hold. Two losses in six days coming right up for the Lions, with playoff hopes evaporating right along with their offense.
"NO TEAM BORN OF WOMAN SHALL FAIL TO COVER CYBERGOD'S BETS" is exactly what they said.
So here's the hottest betting tips this season. Go ahead and play 'em. Cowboys favored by 10, Packers by 9.

So Saturday was exciting. The Jags were finally playing like they were expected to play all year. We knocked our arch rivals from the playoff hunt with a 21 point drubbing. All was good. Then the Browns and 49ers won, and I realized it was just a Christmas miracle, and not to put any stock into it.

Dallas Cowboys 42, Detroit Lions 21. This smoke-and-mirrors fraud squad has broken its mirror, and they're all out of smoke.
The witches were correct. The Lions are now ONE more loss (guaranteed against the Packers this Sunday) from another ignominious failure to make the postseason dance.
I TRIED to watch it, but it was still intolerable. Once the god- damn commercials exceed 20 minutes per hour, I simply go do something else. Besides, I knew what was gonna happen; I'm the guy who placed the curse.

It's funny, I was flipping between the multitude of horrendous pre-game shows on Saturday and one of them had a feature on the Titans, and how they've turned their franchise around from being annual have nots. It had a bunch of players from Tennessee saying things like, "this is our time now; we're sick of always losing; we're ready to make some noise in the playoffs' teams need to fear us come playoff time; we're ready to make a run" etc. etc. The whole time I'm watching this, I'm cringing, thinking, "ooh, guys this is EXACTLY the kind of things you shouldn't be saying right now. You're not IN yet. You still have a lot of work ahead of you, so stop talking big and smelling your own shit. You need to actually, ya know...DO SOMETHING first." And what happens? They come out and get fucking STOMPED by the freakin Jaguars. And now they're done. Fucking idiots

Every team that has faced them this year outside of one (The Giants) has suffered the same fate. I've got Detroit on Sunday, btw.

The Lions played the league's 5th or 6th easiest schedule this year, yet never won convincingly against good teams. As the past two weeks show, the Lions lack the talent to credibly challenge other playoff contenders.
The Packers HAVE to win or tie in this game. Did you really bet against them? I hope you got 4 or 5 points.
I guess Washington could sneak into that last playoff spot with a win on Sunday, right? Assuming the Lions also lose?

I only got 3.5 points, but it's enough. This just isn't Green Bay's year. Gut feeling.

Marv Levy just said he'll replace Rex Ryan as coach. I gotta say, I'm in full support of that.

Regardless, it would be interesting. Also interesting, during his time the average game-play vs game length was closer to equal than any other team. Currently the league average is 5% of clock time (less than every other major sport), but the Bills during his reign bumped that up to like 20%, though at the time the average was almost double. So if he can get the team to play like that again, other teams aren't ready to adjust. Yeah, I want that.

Don't forget what the three witches told me. Last chance to cash in on the horrific beating that faux-football team known as the Lions are gonna get this evening, courtesy of the soon-to-be Division Champion Green Bay Packers.
I'm not sure if a line is even available for this game; a smart bookmaker would be wary of setting one. This will NOT be pretty.

Dallas needs to cut Mark dirty Sanchez right now. He is never going to do any positive for the team. Just fire him on the spot right now.
Yes I had money on Dallas moneyline. lol

It just didn't seem right that the highest td to int ratios ever were fricken Nick Foles and Josh McCown
Tom Brady fixed that today. 28 td's versus only 2 picks. Fuck you, Goodell

Continuing with the NFL/Lions/Macbeth Curse analogy:
So, the three witches fooled me into thinking that the Lions would indeed lose-out (last three games) and miss the playoffs. They lost all three indeed, BUT MADE THE PLAYOFFS DUE TO THE FAILURES of others. Indeed, these witches can't be trusted either.
But I won't die at Uncle MacDuff's sword hand as the subject of Shakespeare's play did. I made money betting against this sorry- ass playoff qualifier yesterday. Note that I advised everyone to take the odds I offered a week or so ago; I hope some did. YOU WOULD HAVE MADE MONEY. (The real odds were more generous of course. Even experienced pro bookmakers are in awe of the Detroit Lions' ineptitude.)
Me? I'll make one more bet against this squad of imposters against the Seahawks this weekend, and undoubtedly win, and you should too. Seahawks by 10, and bye-bye Lions for another few years. They'll have a REAL schedule to play against next year, and revert to their less-than-mediocre ways. It's just the natural order of things...

Heading to Lambeau next week for the game.
To be honest--as a Pack fan--I'd almost rather be at Seattle than the Giants home.
If the Pack were healthy--that'd be great but a very good chance the Pack will be without Rollins and Randle at the CB. Shields already out. ODBJ-Cruz-Shepard against your 4th corner and a practice squad guy in Gunter. Yikes.
And I fully expect a Lions win next week.

If I wasn't already buying weed (ahem..."indirectly" of course) from the dispensaries around here, I'd ask to try whatever it is you're smoking.
I'd actually like to see the Lions go somewhere in the playoffs for once, but I'm a realist. They were VERY lucky to even get in this year. They have no running game, no pass rush without an effective Ziggy Ansah and an overrated secondary. That's why I'm betting against them...

Fuck your lions, they lost me money!! Not as much as they've cost me this year (although I'm a VERY small bettor, usually $10-20 per wager). Counting my correct wager on the Week 17 loss to the Packers, I'm still only 3-9-1 on bets involving them this year.
I'd bet on 'em to win, and they would -- but fail to cover even a small spread.
When I bet on 'em to lose, they'd score a bunch of points late after sucking the entire game, like the first Green Bay game where they trailed 31-3 at halftime, before losing 34-27. Just enough to drive me nuts.
I want all of their children to be stillborn.

A lot of those numbers have been inflated by early season success. They've given up 32 ppg post the Earl Thomas injury. Seattle has a very poor run game are arguably one of the 5 worst olines in the league. I'll call it a gut feeling but I like the Lions.

Best part of your team having a bye, you get to watch this first weekend of the playoffs with zero anxiety and just enjoy the games.
This is gonna be fun
