Wwe is pure garbage these days.
Squashing good talent and doing repeated rematches, storylines are non-existent.
AEW has all the tools to take over, they just need to learn how to book the right matches and build some proper storylines.
Example, Sting's return was awesome but booking him as Darby's big brother was a waste of time.
Sting should've worked an angle with Moxley instead. Sting vs Moxley in a hardcore match.
What's really been interesting to me these last few weeks, is the Co-promotion between AEW and Impact.
I think Tony Kahn purchased ImpactTNA, but they're playing the storyline like AEW is invading.
I've always been a fan of NJPW. An NJPW wrestling match is how a Professional Wrestling match is supposed to look. They protect kayfabe in the ring, and the matches look hard hitting. No indy spot fests.
I'm hoping this Co-promotion with AEW and NJPW will morph AEW into more of a strong style based company, rather than the goofy Indie gymnastics shit they've been doing.
Less comedy, more realism.

I really like Darby a lot, one of the few smaller guys who does his highflying stuff with actual INTENT. His suicide dive actually looks legit. But yeah, him and Sting have next to nothing in common. I think they have him with Darby because Sting might not be physically capable of having an actual singles. Don Callis and Omega together are great. Loved Don as a commentator/ bulletclub Omega kiss ass. I just fucking love wrestling right now. Hopefully they bring L.I.J over to AEW so Naito can show everyone how to be a real star.

Impact feels like I'm watching a high school production of a pro wrestling event. It's the little leagues, but there's a few legit dudes over there. The crossover angle with Callis and Omega showing up on Impact is really the only reason to watch. Matt hardy is actually killing it over there on Impact though, with his greedy manager angle. Here's the thing with Darby and Sting. Darby made his whole name on being a little guy who went against the odds and wins anyway. So making Sting his big brother and protector was kinda lame. It deligitmizes Darby and the TNT belt. That whole angle is just coming across super hokey. A much better angle they could've ran: Moxley turns heel and decides to attack Darby. Cause mox wants the TNT belt now. Mox cheats to win the belt, and puts a beatdown on Darby after the match. Now Sting shows up. Eventually setting up a feud with Mox and Sting. Sting is old, so he probably can't do a full singles match. He wanted to do a cinematic retirement match with the Undertaker, but Vince shot that down. So now he's in AEW So I think Sting still has some ability to work a match, but it would have to be a street fight, something where he could get away without being athletic anymore. A month of epic promos with Mox being a super heel to set up the street fight for the TNT belt. Sting wins the belt, and retires as champ. Perfect ending there. Right when Sting retires, Darby comes back from his Kayfabe injury at the hands of Mox. Then Mox, Cody and Darby all feud over the TNT belt.

As much as I want to see heel Mox I think it would have been too early. Guy is still white hot, plus he's gonna do more shit in NJPW where he is also super over. I think when they can go back to having full capacity shows it would be better. Imagine the crowd when he finally does turn it would be deafening. Moxley very well might still be the most over wrestler in the world. I do agree though that when Moxley finally does turn, it should be against Darby. A real blood fued between those 2 would be brutal in all the best ways.

Moxley very well might still be the most over wrestler in the world. I do agree though that when Moxley finally does turn, it should be against Darby. A real blood fued between those 2 would be brutal in all the best ways. This is all true. I was just trying to spin a better story here for the Old Stinger and one that doesn't make Darby look weak. And its been a really interesting time period here in wrestling, now that you mention it. This bullshit with no crowds. Wrestling is all based on crowd reaction, so its been odd to watch this last year without being able to hear an organic crowd reaction. Vince has been piping in crowd noise, like the ShaneOmac chants. So you don't really know who's really over with the audience. And so that leaves McMahon free to push whatver stupid ass bullshit storylines he wants, without any feedback from the audience. And god damn, did they ever do my boy Mizz dirty last nite. And Mizz ain't even really my dude but that was a dirty way to handle a world title change and a real shit way to treat a solid worker like Mizz. The title change felt underwhelming, predictable and boring. The match was pure garbage And they couldn't even tell a decent story, the right way. You had Lashley as the face, but he's using heel tactics, acting like the heel the whole episode. And then he attacks the Mizz after the match, and by that time im already rooting for Mizz as a face so the attack made no sense since it wasnt even a heel turn for Lashley, im just supposed to cheer him as he attacks a feeble, unconscious Mizz? Makes no sense, and they really missed a good opportunity to tell a good story since Lashley didn't turn heel and none of the lumberjacks or even McIntyre came out to attack Lashley during his post match assault. For shit's sake, its a title match so make it a good match. And they bury all my dudes, every week. Elias, Seamus, Morrison, Ryker, Strowman, Styles... buried every week while they push dorks like Bad Bunny and that no talent Priest homo. Yeah its the New Day, every day, and guess what?! They want you to look at their crotch, yeah that got old before it even got over 10 years ago. And the commentating is garbage too. I guess they dont realize they're supoosed to have a heel annoumcer putting over the heels. Now Moxley vs Omega pt. 2 for the AEW title, thats how you book a title match. A heavy hitting affair with lots of believable action that told a good story. And a heel turn-title change. I'm turning off WWE programming for a while and I'll be sticking primarily with Impact and AEW.
