I've read this 3x back in college. Listening to it now...god, Tolkien can write.
It's just tragedy, upon tragedy, upon tragedy for the elves.

Just listened to “Something Wicked This Way Comes” by Ray Bradbury. The narrator was excellent, one of the voices he used sounded just like Stewie from family guy. Now that I think of it it might be that guy…

There's some pretty good WH40K audiobooks from what I've heard, haven't gone down the audiobook route yet.
I have been reading my bible lately. Catholic version of course. After all, I'm not a fucking retard.

I listened to it on Libby, free if you have a library card.
Narrators name is Christian Rumely.

Do you guys prefer audio or reading? I want to get into it because I just can't sit a read a book without getting sidetracked.
I can read off a screen all day but I fucking hate reading paper... idk maybe its the zoomer in me.
Comics are fine though ironically enough.
Do you guys find that you absorb information better when hearing it?

I listen to them on roadtrips, makes the drive much more enjoyable. I agree, the narrator makes or breaks it.

Bobo - if you're interested, check out the "Prancing Pony Pocast" - starting with episode 3 or 4 they basically go chapter by chapter through The Silmarillion and break things down. I listened to all of them without re-reading (or listening) to the book again. Just thought it'd be interesting to listen to the chapter breakdowns as I read it. One warning is that they really just started the podcast when they did this, so it's a little corny for 10-20 episodes, but they really dive deep into the book.
