I know it's early but might as well get this going. I'll give my 4 and some comments on outside looking in:
1. Ohio State. 4-0. Played (3) 2015 bowl teams out of conference, including Oklahoma, and destroyed them by a combined 170-37. 2. Alabama. 5-0. Defending champs and look complete, but they are terrified to play anyone out of conference on the road. One of these years they deserve a penalty for it. 3. Clemson. 5-0. Out of conference win @ Auburn and just beat Louisville. 4. Houston. 5-0. Looked good beating Oklahoma and have run over everyone else. As of today, they would get my nod at #4 but they play Louisville later anyway.
5. Louisville. 4-1. Fantastic team with Houston looking on the schedule later. Can still play their way back in 6. Michigan. 5-0. Great coach and solid, dangerous team. But witnessed Colorado give them all they could handle until the CU QB got hurt. Control own destiny with schedule 7. Washington. 5-0. Dismantled a very good Stanford team but can't overlook needed o/t to defeat a mediocre Arizona team. Decent chance to go undefeated.
Other outsiders but I expect all these teams to lose multiple times before season end: Tennessee, Miami, Texas A&M, Baylor, Nebraska,
Boise State is still on the radar: They will probably go undefeated and keep rising as teams get KOd. Not sure they will ever have enough to get into the conversation though.

1- tOSU. Outstanding QB, O line, and secondary play. The game with oklahoma was not as close as even the lopsided score indicated. Big road win.
2- Alabama. Usc win not As massive of a win as we may have thought given some of the struggles we've seen from Troy, But still a historical margin of victory over a talented but fledgling usc squad. Bama still has questions at qb and o line.
3- Clemson. While I do not think Watson is playing nearly as well as last year , he still is solid. Love the o line play and d line play, and love the physical runs of gallman. And TE play. Big win over lville.... But turnovers have to be limited or else they could get upset at some point. Best display of triple option defense I've seen in a long time versus ga tech.
4- Washington - like Michigan, largely untested until this week. Unlike Michigan, has at least had a game on the road. Also unlike Michigan, they broke it off in a quality team and program.... Dominating Stanford like we've seen no one do in over 5 years .
5- houston- dominated ou and has a solid road win at cincy. Will dominate their league and have a small chance at a playoff spot if they beat l ville. Ward is one of the toughest kids I've seen in years. As tough as Connor shaw, but in the body of Allen iverson. Truly a joy to watch. Hope he is able to stay healthy.
6- Michigan - no real road tests until late October. Very talented and tough team that dismantled pen state, but this no longer has the cache it once did. If they win out, they are in the payoff no questions asked. Still, think they will lose to tOSU though.
Looking forward to esteemed cfbpc rankings in a few weeks. Well... Sorta. Except that it will be S E C!!!!!!!!!! Heavy, like it always is.

No particular order
Bama. Cause you can't have a playoffs without Bama. Plus they are a good team Ohio St. Overall very solid good team Clemson Louisville. Because they will probably beat Houston in a few weeks.
Outside chance of getting in. Or just my wishful thinking Miami Houston

Clem and Louis are both insanely dangerous teams. That sort of squad will get things clicking and beat anybody, and I do mean anybody, on a given day. Even though Bama maybe be deeper and more well rounded, more consistent, when one of these gashers is feeling it and things get rolling . . . no, nothing you can really do. They're gonna get 40 pts and you can try to keep up. End of story.
At this point Bama might be the single greatest testament to recruiting, development, and consistent elite-level performance in the history of college football.
Ohio St needs to show me a little more, but they appear to be incredibly talented yet again and already have some quality Ws on the resume. This is a team that might be the total package come playoff time. Urban seems to be every bit as good as the hype that surrounds him.
Really keeping a close eye on Wash. Gotta admit I thought they were over-rated but wow, I mean wow, they went full retard on Stanford, and you never go full retard on Stanford. We'll be watching them like a hawk in the next few weeks.
I hate Michigan and their booger-eating coach and hope their buss drives off into a ravine this week.
Would love to see Houston crash this party. Fingers crossed.
