You got one CB, have to feel good about that for a week. Yeah my Steelers looked pretty good for three quarters.....the defense is in beast mode.....but then gave up 17 in the 4th...oh well, it was fun to watch. Ps: I get to hang on to the good feeling for 2 weeks.....its bye week for the Burgh.....lol.

Alright, da burgh got handed a brutal loss yesterday....Part two: The fight. Now the brownie should, imo, have gotten a 3 game suspension, for that shot and Pouncey should also get a 3 game suspension....but come on newscasters, this wasnt the first time as many are claiming and it wasnt even the worst fight i've ever seen.......the pussification of America continues....smh

Maybe it’s because of the amount of media and exposure, but I can see why it’s for the rest of the season. Garrett is lucky the helmet hit Rudolph on the pad side and not the hard part of the helmet. It really screws the Browns though as he is their best player on either side of the ball.

I'm fine with all of the suspensions, but how the hell are you not even so much as fining Rudolph when he's the one who tried to take off a helmet first? He should have gotten a 1 game suspension as well.

After the way he played yesterday, he'll probably miss the next game anyway

After the way he played yesterday, he'll probably miss the next game anyway I believe Rudolph was fined $50 000. The AFC looks like Baltimore’s to lose, although the Chiefs and Pats can’t be counted out. The NFC is tough to call. Reezy’s Neens seem to be the real deal, but experience counts and I can see them stumbling. I’m just not sure to who at the moment.

NFL looks like a 3 team race at this point between New England, Baltimore, and San Francisco. Those 3 have clearly moved to the head of the pack. And two of them are playing historically good defense, while the third has a QB playing unlike anything we've ever seen (take a seat Mr. Vick), and breaking all sorts of records.
The Chiefs defense is simply too big a liability for them to be taken seriously. And the Packers were exposed-I'd expect a rematch to go similarly. Rodgers is awesome and special to watch, but good D. coordinators have known for years how to slow him down and he's done jack shit to change his game or his offense up at all to compensate. Hell, even Peyton knew when to let the running game shine.

Full disclosure, I am a Packer's wonk. I'll happily go over other games (though I can't stand to watch as much as I used to). First off, avg actual live play action in NFL is 11-15 min range. It's always been that way I suppose. However, live-action-ref on screen calling penalties, discussing penalties, or reviewing penalties has got to be 3x that amount of time.
Re: Pack vs 49ers
People like to say that individual plays/blown calls don't decide games. However, I disagree. Unsportsmanlike conduct on #17 after first down on opening drive was garbage call. It was a light chest bump of the sort that is not called 99% of the time. It backed up the Packers on the first drive and stalled it. #12 fumbled back to the 1 yard line after that drive-killer call. Easy 49er tuddy. Under normal circumstances, that drive should have been humming along 30 yards further down field with continued momentum, a punt, or even a lost fumble at the 30-40 yard line (though down and distance and play call would not likely have been the same).
49ers first drive extended after a phantom hands to the face call against Pack #20 on a 3rd down play. They go on to kick a FG. Up 10-0.
The Packers did there part and stunk it up a bit (though there was also the catch not ruled a catch (according to ref-commentator) later on in the early stages of the game.
All this is to say, the 49ers, at home, got the exact start that they needed, with the help of shaky ref calls. So I'm not ready to include them with NE and Bal. NFL margin between NFL teams in most cases is razor thin. 49ers are front runners and they've been in front a lot so far.
Specifically regarding officiating. They might as well just review every play. What's the difference at this point. Why force a coach to challenge when the challenges are not handled consistently. Or stop reviewing subjective calls like PI. It's actually easier to review things like hands to the face. If you're going to review PI, you have to review holding as well. It's equally subjective.
Stankola night for Packer fans. Not sure who I like in the NFC. Vikes are home team front runners too. I think Vikes and 49ers are pretty close, but don't trust the Vikes to overcome adversity on the road. NFC East should still end up Cowboys. Saints probably still the favorite after a couple bumpy weeks.
Sorry for jacking the Steelers thread. There just isn't enough Steeler talk to support a thread this year.

Boy, after the Packers/Lions Monday night game, you got a lot of balls coming in here and putting anything about that beat down on the refs.
But, I do agree that the NFL has to do something about the refereeing.

Thanks for the laugh MMAJim! If it wasn’t for those damn refs the Pack would have only lost by two TD’s!
The Saints are a good shout in the NFC. I also think the Seahawks might be able to do some damage, it we’ll see.
My Bills look like a wild card team. I can’t see them winning a playoff game, especially if it is against the Chiefs in KC.

But, I do agree that the NFL has to do something about the refereeing. Free to point out phantom hands to the face calls that benefit the Packers too. If they’re reviewing penalties, hands to the face is N easy one to say yes no on. Just review everything at this point.

I get that I have bias. However, those type of plays do have a large impact on the course of entire games. Everyone in the AFC that makes it will have a fair shot at winning a game since Bal and NE will have byes the first week. Ravens will be extremely tough to beat if Lamar Jackson stays 85-100% healthy. Maybe the 49ers will have something for them this week.

I think the Bills could win in KC....they look good in all 3 facets of the game right now. Hell, even Josh Allen is balling out these last 6 or 7 games. He was great against Dallas yesterday.

I don’t disagree with. Not sure we know the KC really is yet. They could get hit the rest of the way here. Probably a lost year for them without enough D and missing Mahomes, Hill, and RB play for various stretches.

That was the Bills best performance this season and a pleasant surprise. If they continue to play like they did Thursday, they definitely have a chance in the Wild Card game. Our next four games will give a clearer picture on how good we can be. Baltimore, Pittsburgh, NE and the Jets.

Hell, I just found out the Bills control their own destiny. If they win out, they win the division. They have the tiebreaker over New England, assuming they beat the Pats. Of course, going 4-0 vs. Baltimore, Pitt, and NE is a tall fucking order.

The Pats aren’t as unbeatable as they have been for the Bills the last 20 years or so. I’m looking forward to that game to see how far we have improved. Shame it’s in NE though.

Wow, if bills go 4-0 they get the #1 seed in the AFC. I had no idea. Pitt and NE are winnable games, but Baltimore is fucking savage right now. Watch the Bills be the Bills and beat all 3, only to lose to the Jets, lol.
