Do we already have a gun thread? Oh well. Just picked up another XDS .45 to add to the three others I have.

Is it your everyday carry?
I usually have a 9mm as my everyday since I like the high capacity mags but the extra bang of the acp seems nice to have in such a small pistol.
Also, I wonder if crocop carries an xds. Made in Croatia.

I have a Glock 26 and the XDS is much nicer to carry.

4 of the same gun? Damn, I thought I was bad... I've had my black one for a while.. But I decided that it would be best to have one in my truck, one in my Jeep and two in the house, so that every gun I might potentially reach for operates the same exact way.
Before, I had the XDS in Jeep, Glock 26 in my truck and a couple different Sigs in the house. Too much room for error in my opinion.

Nice! Yeah I don't really like the way the glock's grip feels inside my shooting hand, and they don't offer adjustable back straps like most of the other 9mm's do. But the glocks have interchangeable magazines, which is nice just in case you have a 26 and let's say a 34... or heavens to betsy an 18c!

Next item on my list. Dsa Fal. Made in the USA. The guy at the gun store was trying to talk me into buying something chambered in 6.5 creedmoor, he says it has a higher fps at long range than the .308 win. All my research says he's correct, but the .308 seems to be a better intermediate cartridge and it leaves bigger holes than the 6.5 creedmoor. Creedmoor seems to be more of a long range sniper/hunting cartridge, anybody own one or shoot a 6.5?

6.5 creedmore is fantastic long range hunting/shooting caliber. It is better in all aspects than the .308, however if you are not hunting or shooting over 500 yards there is no real reason to spend more money and make the bullets harder to find.

The springfield XD platform is the most comfortable, intuitive pew pew out there. Glock is supposedly more reliable and maintenance free but the xd is the most ergonomical and easiest to stay on target during rapid fire. Glock takes more practice IMO to be accurate. The XD feels natural; as in, it seems to be aiming where you think it is. At least that's my experience.
...But I own no guns, I swear

It's hard to get a good opinion about this on the gun forums, as all the guys just nuthug the creedmoor. We have 200 pound Cougars in the hills here, and I dont think I'll be shooting at them from long range. Lol you cant even see the bastards until they're up on your shit. Also, I'm a frugal mofo.

I don't own a 6.5 but two of my close friends do and use them a lot. I have probably shot one maybe 75 times. Its a great gun, but it's also a little bit of a fad thing like with Ackley Improved rounds and the .27/.30 Noslers. In my opinion the best caliber across the board in all 50 states (besides Grizzley Bear) is the 7mm Mag. You can do anything with that gun and you can also find bullets everywhere. I can't think of a caliber that is more universal from Blacktail to Moose available. Just my $.02

The 6.5 Creedmoor shoots flatter, deviates less in the wind, and carries more energy at long ranges. For long range it’s better in every way but if you don’t plan on ever shooting over 400-500yds the .308 is gtg. I have the 6.5, .308, and my personal favorite for whitetail the 7mm-08 (7mm bullet on a .308 case). Both outperform the .308 handily at distance.

I prefer them because they have no safety, just pull and shoot. I always feared that if someone was trying to stab me and I’m trying to fend them off with one hand while pulling my handgun with the other I’d probably forget to flip the safety off while my adrenaline was pumping.

I completely agree. Which is why I like this 1911, safety is off once you have a grip on it. I used to keep a baretta handy but once I fired a friends similar 1911 I fell in love with it.

Converting to full auto with mil-spec butterknife Is it just me or does that whole video reel of bullshit? A pullmajibber? And a thingmajibber? But your an amature if you call a clip a magazine? Plus why didn't he fire his weapons on camera after conversion? And lastly the shit where he's talking about calling the feds and telling them you just converted your weapons to fully auto, seriously? Should you also hand cuff yourself and throw your self face first into the ground? So that when the feds show up to your house to arrest you all they have to do is point a gun at the back of your head and throw into the back of a van? Fuck that, why would you want a fully auto pistol anyway?

Converting to full auto with mil-spec butterknife This is a little misleading. Actually took me a lot less than five minutes to complete. Worked great. Nobody picked up at the local FBI office on Easter Sunday though.
