Not sure this new system is working. Sure Conor does 2.5 million ppvs... but he fights once a year and the other months in the year do another 3 mill buys... the old days the ppvs did 900,000 each with A. Silva, GSP, Shogun, Rampage etc...
Its the 25th Anniversary of the UFC, I think we've seen what we've had o see in it, the next 25 yrs will be like boxing. We watch alot of filler and then go with our buds to the pub in big numbers to watch the Conors of the world...

Between now and then, Bellator could buy the UFC along with an Asia promotion...the one Mighty Mouse went to. Things could look a lot different! Early on, did anyone ever thought about the UFC buying Pride.

Terrible numbers.
I could be wrong, but I also don't think a Brock vs. DC card does as well as previous Brock cards have. I don't think the casuals or die-heads will be interested, so the WWE fans will have to account for a lot of buys.
It's pretty hard to see Brock winning the fight, but what if he did? Could he even defend the belt anytime soon considering his WWE contract?

250,000 is actually a good buy rate, for a Mighty Mouse pay per view...

That should have been a free card from the beginning.

That should have been a free card from the beginning. If they keep getting low numbers like that, they might consider having all free cards...except for the Conor type fights. I'm sure there are cost involved with putting on a PPV. Some sort of PPV fee, the cable company's cut, etc. It'll be interesting to know what's the break even number for a PPV compared to advertising revenue from a free card. Salaries aside of course.

half goes to the ppv company. Look at the WWE model. They went to $10/month PPV included. Everyone said they were nuts. Theyre making way more money now with that model.

Providers now get 30% and with the streaming services, the UFC keeps 100% of that. The UFC is still making a shit load of money.
