Seems like a lot of these suicides by celebrities are spur of the moment with no planning. That designer and Bourdain both used whatever was on hand to hang themselves. You would think if you were planning it, you would pick up a decent piece of rope and make sure the job gets done right.

Time to get in the noose business... High quality all natural hemp nooses, same day delivery. Maybe designer nooses that have diamonds or gold threads. Or political statement nooses, like one made out of Collin Kaepernick's afro. Could be a real money maker and the customer service department would not have to have anyone on staff for returns.

Did anybody else see that Golden Gate bridge documentary? Apparently 1/3 to 80% of all suicide attempts are impulsive, so who knows? www.businessinsider.com/many-suicides-are-based-on-an-impulsive-decision-2014-8

No, man, I was just wondering if anybody had seen it, so why don't you let me know what you thought of it? Why you so fucking wound up, man, making all those typos and shit?

I already talked about the situation with the friend of mine. But it was an impulsive decision. He got his heart broken the night before and didn't have rent and was feeling the heat even though I was being cool about it.
He had mental problems obviously to get to that point, but it was the stressor of things that happen in life happening and that was his way out.
I don't really believe suicide, or anything about who people are, is this linear progression. People can change out of nowhere for a bunch of reasons. Especially people who are manic depressive. I go through my ups and downs with life where sometimes I feel like I'm on fire and can do no wrong socially and sometimes I get the blues and don't really want to be around people or anything.
I'm obviously no psychologist, but I like to dabble in the subject for recreation. Where I think most mental illness symptoms and outbursts come from is an inability to handle emotions. I think where you or I can realize "okay, this will pass and probably not matter in a month or a year", people with depression get so locked in on situations being dire that they can't see the forest through the trees.
And, to round out this random diatribe, that's where I think marijuana helps/can help with depression more than the temporary euphoria. It can be just psychedelic enough to let you sort things out and see things in a different way than your mind usually processes. Like the old Kat Williams bit about smoking weed "Fuck that God damned light bill, I got some candles I been waiting to burn."
Obviously that can lead to abuse for people who are prone to be lazy and do nothing, but so can lots of shit that's perfectly legal like alcohol.

Just popping in to see if Jackel had finally done the world a favor. Color me disappointed, carry on. People like him will outlive all of us. Never having to stress over the day to day grind of being a productive member of society. Avoiding all of the wear that physical effort puts on your body. Jackel will probably hit triple digits in age.

He's 15 years older than me, and on Easter I stood up from sitting at the dinner table and in my usual way, it took about 30 seconds to straighten my back out and get moving. He asks me what's wrong with me, and when I tell him my back gets stiff when sitting he goes on to tell me how his wrist has been giving him problems and he was looking in to different controllers for his Xbox to fix it. All I could muster up was a blank stare.

If I pass St. Louis, I'll also stop in and slap Jackel around with one hand tied behind my back, of course.

All I could muster up was a blank stare. I see the opposite. My friends that sit down all day are ten years younger than me with seemingly more aches and pains. There have been times when I was afraid that my knee was finished, my shoulder, my back, but I had to push on because that was work and I had no choice. Almost always, working was better than resting for the problem. Once I hurt my shoulder and favored it for about 3 months. Then I said fuck it and lifted some weights, thinking that I would curse myself later, but rather it was as if an angel touched my shoulder and healed it instantly (the swelling muscles pushed the joint back into proper alignment). It’s counterintuitive, so the guy who sits on his ass for a living gets an achy knee, stops hitting the gym, knee gets worse as he gets fatter. When I tell him he should probably get back in the gym and rehab it with weight training he gets spiteful as if I’m just being a jerk.
