So after many years of just being a gym rat I've nutted up and entered my first show, will be competing October 7th Bridgend Wales in a Men's Physique category. Last 14 weeks of dieting hard and really living a strict life as dramatically paid off and i'll be stepping on stage for the first time at the age of 36.
I'm currently 87kg at a smidge under 8% body fat, stage weight will be around 83kg at 4% body fat.
With the show in mind I've had to switch up my steroid use drastically from enthante compound (enthante hold a lot more water so you don't look as dry) to fast acting EOD compounds, jabbing Tren Ace 100mg EOD & 100mg of Test Prop EOD. Have been advised to site locate the jab into my biceps as they lag due to my over developed delts. I tell you its damn uncomfortable after but after 5 days i'm getting used to it and the pump from chest & biceps Monday was insane!
Running HGH at 4iu for 4 weeks now with 50mg of T3 and then 4 weeks before the show stopping one week out and coming off all gear 5 days out to dry out and drop any water.
My Coach think's i'll be ready to compete in 5 weeks time time but I need to learn how to pose correctly so there is an opportunity to compete around August 8th so will see how things go but i'm registered and signed up for the October show.
Introduced LISS cardio 3 times a week for 40 mins and its already paying off a week later, cheat meal Sunday, probably only got a couple of these left before they vanish and August gets closer and more to a strategic refeed.

Training Has changed quite a bit also, have moved to a 3 week programme running over 15 weeks, will consist of one week strength training so sets of 8-6-4 twice over with heavy ass weight, hitting all the major compounds twice a week.
I then follow this up with 2 weeks of hyper trophy so drop the weight back on the compounds and increase the reps but focus more on individual muscle groups still hitting them twice a week and going as heavy as I can without risking injury so no ego lifts.
Just started first hypertrophy week and really enjoying the challenge, feel fatigued quite a bit but that'll be the tren fucking with my sleep.
Currently on 1950 calories a day, mostly protein P50/C20/F30.
I used to be a real gym bro and ego lifter and I honestly couldn't care that I've lost 30kg off my bench or 25kg off my deadlift, squat is actually progressing but I was half assed on that before so probably not actual true progression.

haha... I remember watching a documentary on Overeem following him around and he was banging the horsemeat drum and his sweet potato's lol even at the time I was like Reem show us your fridge so I can see how much growth hormone you got in there son!
Horsemeat is looked upon quite negatively here in the UK and quite taboo despite it actually being great quality meat.

So with show 17 weeks out and current condition being way to lean I've upped my calories an altered my macros, spoke with a couple people who have been competing for years and what I should do.
Unanimous feedback was i'm going to crash and my current coach is kind of cheating me a little in that he's got me show ready fast to save time at the end sacrificing the possibility of growth because i'm on a calorie deficit, my body wont hold on for 17 weeks like this and i'll start losing muscle tissue fast, my weight is already crashing so time to fix things up!
So i've switched things up(moving to Y3T training split also. Now)bearing in mind I was only on 1.9k calories to start with and was on a 25/50/25 split which is the kind of area you'd be 6 weeks out not 17.
Today I'v increased to 2886 calories 50/30/20 so 342g of carbs, 216g of protein & 67g of fat.
Breakfast 8am:
100g of porridge 30g of impact whey isolate 30g of peanut butter & a banana
Morning Snack 10am:
6 rice cakes & 10g of peanut butter
Lunch 12pm:
200g of sweet potato 200g of chicken breast
Afternoon snack:
6 rice cakes & 10g of peanut butter
4pm Pre workout meal:
100g of porridge 30g of impact whey isolate
Train 6pm
Dinner 8.30pm.
380g of basa 200g of sweet potato 80g of steamed mixed vegtables
10.30pm
25g of miscelluar casein.
Will see how things go and then increase to 3.7k calories from next week and target a solid 8 weeks of growth leaving myself 9 weeks to shred down.

See for me this is a bit of a placebo in that i think when people spot pin they hammer the sh*t out of that pinned muscle area way more when they train and even more so than ever before, be it volume or mind to muscle connection the focus is just more intense. My arms have defiantly increased in lean muscle tissue. Do i think pinning locally some how prioritised the tren & test to my biceps, sh*t no but its certainly had an impact somewhere and i believe the above logic but no way has the test & tren prioritised biceps and triceps. i'm 13 weeks out from the show so starting to taper carbs and calories back down after a few weeks of smashing them down me as needed to let my BMR recover. Introducing cardio next week 4 times a week, then fasted morning cardio from 10 weeks out, will just keep tapering carbs down and protein high and see how I go but happy with the leans gains i made whilst blasting carbs and calories.

Show day Sunday baby! 7 days out and heading into peak week! 3 more days of depletion before a carb load! Excited now, body is coming together nicely! Pumped for this now!

I dont actually know how to post pics on this forum but I actually put a before and after picture up on my insta page earlier Rodimus_Prime_1981 if you want to go take a look.
I'm salt loading at the moment so bit of subcutaneous water retention but not much, reducing water tomorrow and salt on thursday when I start to carb up so should dry me out and tighten me up a little but you can see what i'm looking like.
This is physique not bodybuilding but i'm happy with where i'm at 5 days out, full despite not being on any carbs and vascular so see how we go, this is my first prep and first time competing so see how we go!

Lol Yeah a slap wouldn’t be uncalled for 😂😂😂 It’s crazy as body changed again the next day, dryer, more vascular and have a Christmas tree in my lower back! It’s pretty sick, are you on insta? Follow me and I’ll dm you some more progress shots but trying not to show to much pre show! Carbing up today, 0 to 600g and man it’s fun, 2 meals in so far, just steak & potato and chicken & potato but some cream of rice and almond butter coming up next 👌

Day one of the carb load went really well, have dried out and tapered in even more around my waste and look a lot fuller and more dense, vascularity is insane atm! Hit a pump session earlier and never felt so broad and pumped! Loading today and will see how I wake up tomorrow but no more salt from today and water drops to 3ltrs, may scale carbs back slightly but want to come in full...
Just buzzing to get on stage now and get at it!

Show day is tomorrow, got my final session in and cardio done! Beard trimmed fresh fade done now just time to chill continue carb loading and get my stage tan! Buzzing to have at this now!

Congrats man. Win, lose, or draw, you have a lot to be proud of. Wow what en experience! I placed top 4 in the masters over 35’s! Absolutely dominated from the back, feedback I was give was I won the category but as I had an obvious torn pec I was marked down but was given 4th, 6 places awarded out of field of 20! Really pleased with how I went vs some really experienced guys, felt incredibly comfortable on stage and posed well. Then moved into the beginners which was again a class of 20 with the class criteria amended to allow people who have taken a break from competing and a few guys played the game and cheated their way into the category, again I placed and took 6th in probably the strongest contested category of the show! Feedback was again I dominated from the back but again torn pec cost me as could have made top 3 but I’m very happy with my placings and pics and videos, was an awesome experience, some videos and pics on my insta if anyone want to check them out! Whole lot of cheesecake & burgers as well! Now time to get this pec fixed and reabilitate and stimulate some growth, time to rebound properly from the contest diet and reverse diet and slowly enter into bulk, need to work on fullness of arms and chest! Buzzing guys I’m buzzing and what a rush competing is!

Was happy with the condition i brought and was pretty dray and vascular, right pec and arm thickness let me down, could have been leaner and need to work on abs separation but overall im pretty happy for a first run and crack at this, time to smash on some size and come back bigger and take on classic physique! 8 month bulk here we come! Cheers man, eating like a train at the moment, coach has already got me on 6k calories a day, plan is to be on 10k by xmas, not proving to hard as eating lots of cream of rice, oats and basmati rice. Got 8 months of solid bulking on the cards with a 12 to 14 week prep, going to compete twice in October next year. The physique above was basically me on a 10 month deficit and zero opportunity to grow, on reflection I was a little flat and was just hanging on pretty much all year clinging onto muscle tissue, i'll come in around 6kg to 8kg bigger than this next year and leaner, most of that weight will be on my legs and need to sort right pec out and ad some width to my back but will come back in a muscle category next time round! Still going to go back and win the Masters Mens fitness but will be much larger next time that's for damn sure!
